"Put the knife down before you kill the poor lizard." James smirked walking inside and locking the door while casting silencing charms. "Hand me the knives before you slit someone's throat and then I'll have to call mum and explain to her why my dear sister killed a person at Hogwarts."

"At least it's not a person. And I wasn't going to kill him. I'd rather kill a person before I kill an animal." I mumbled and handed James all of my knives that were in my holsters.

"Boot weapons and wand, too. And no wandless magic." James raised his eyebrow and I sighed handing him the small knife along with my wand that was currently holding my hair up. "Better. What happened now?"

I threw James my phone and started to pace around the classroom.

"I honestly don't know why I'm mad, Bam Bam. Today was a good day, too! Snuffles took me for a walk by the forest in the snow this morning, got an O in Arithmancy, scored thirty House points in Charms, fought Mrs. Norris with Crookshanks and successfully ran away from Filch with Regulus and Speckles after setting fireworks throughout the entire third floor. And then this happened." I wiped my eyes in frustration and looked at James. "Say something!"

"You have got to stop letting Snivelus get to you like this, Didi." James said putting down my phone and engulfing me into a hug.

"It's not just Snivelus, James. It's everyone else. They don't know us and yet they feel like they have an opinion. You have no idea how many times Reg and I have to bite our tongues and fight the urge to punch someone every time we hear something about Snuffles. Regulus has successfully talked me out of like ten murders this semester alone! I don't care if they call me a bitch or whatever, but he called you a bastard."

"So? Let him. He doesn't know me the way that you do. Nobody does. Don't let these things get to you, Didi. I can take it. Besides, he only said those things to you because he knows that one of us will try to stop you from committing murder. Me on the other hand, you'd hand me your knives and tell me the vital organs so I can kill him fast but painfully." James chuckled and I smiled slightly pulling away from the hug. "Why are you crying?"

"I didn't even notice." I chuckled and wiped my tears. "I'm just so angry at him! How dare he even think that he could be a better choice for Lily!?"

"Frankly, three years ago I thought the same. Look at the facts, Didi. I grew up late. I did it when Padfoot came to us crying with his trunk and begging to see you. That's when I decided enough was enough. Well that and seeing Padfoot carrying a bloody you to the hospital wing because of what Snape did." James shrugged and pulled out a chair for me to sit.

"I know, but-"

"No buts, Didi. I hate Snape's guts. I knew he was bad news the moment I saw him seven years ago. Hell, I even tried to make you stop being friends with him! But guess what? I have something he doesn't." James smirked sitting across from me.

"Lily?"

"Other than her. He doesn't have a badass twin sister who's not afraid to throw hands any time of any day. I may have a huge ego and I may be a bit of an ass sometimes, but I always had you to bring me back to size. You're my soulmate, Didi. He's right, y'know? I'm arrogant, selfish, maybe somewhat narcissistic. But all of that goes away when I see my family hurt. All of that goes away whenever we have conversations like this or whenever I'm with you or Lily. You two bring out the best in me, but it's mostly you. It's always been Jade and James against the world, Didi." James shrugged and messes up his hair making me laugh slightly.

"I still wanna kill him." I mumbled and James sighed.

"He's not worth the trouble of you planning a murder, Didi. That takes energy that you should be wasting by doing more stupid shit with us before graduation." James smirked. "He's not wrong when he said I was arrogant."

"Bam Bam-"

"But like I've said, all of that goes away whenever I'm with you and Evans. Mostly with you, though. He can call me whatever he wants, I don't care. All I care about is what you think of me. And judging by what you texted him, I think I did a pretty good job at being an older brother." James said smugly and I laughed.

"You're still a pain in the ass sometimes." I teased.

"Yeah, I know. But I'm your pain in the ass." James said standing up and handing me my knives and wand. "How does a walk through Hogsmeade sound right now? We haven't spent a lot of time together alone since I became head boy."

"Sounds great. But you're paying today." I smirked linking arms with him and walking out of the classroom. "Thanks Bam Bam. I love you."

"I love you more, Didi."
