Chapter 1: Where are you going?
It had been a rainy day. Like it always is in Mississippi. The birds were probably resting, which didn't make the brown eyed brunette worry much. There were a few butterfly's here and there, landing upon a daffodil or tulip, but other than them, there was barely even life moving along. On days like these, Lily would just head outside, and she would wonder around until it got colder or she was called in before a storm came rushing in. But there wasn't enough storms, so she was outside 90 percent of her days.
"Lily! Come inside! Dinner is ready!" Great. Lilly didn't really have that much of an appetite. Nor did she eat much. She was too busy either studying or she was outside, like normally.
She ran up the sidewalk that lead to her small but beautiful house. It was fading a little, the paint was peeling, and the sides were becoming chipped. But that was what was happening to all the old houses on her block. The door was carefully carved by her father, who had been missing for over 4 years. But she still missed him dearly. No other father could replace her father. The man who had helped her walk and say her first few words. No one else could do that. Not even her mother.
"Lily, how was school?" What? You didn't even go to school. School was out.
She groaned, but smiled. "Mom, I didn't go today. School is out until next year." She sat down gently at the small little table in the middle of the family room.
Her mother chuckled lightly, walking over to the table with a bowl in one hand, and a glass in the other. "Ahh. Sorry, Lily. Forgot." She gently placed the food down in front of Lily, heading back into the kitchen to retrieve her own food.
Lily looked at the food, which was still steaming. Hmm. Hazelnut soup. She thought. Hazelnut soup was her favorite soup. And it was the only food her father could make. She sighed, the short memory of her father spilling some on himself leaving her mind, as she made her way towards her room.
"What is wrong, Lily? Not hungry?" Her mother called out.
She shook her head, looking back at her mother. She was the sweetest. She always cared for Lily. Even after he Lily's' father left them on their own.
Her mother was quite worried. It was palpably easy to see. Lily smiled and sighed. "Do not worry, mom. I am alright. Just a little tired, I guess."
Tired?
A/N: Thank you if you have found this story! This is my first non fan fiction, so please enjoy. Maybe I'll add some juicy parts? (No, not sex scenes. Unless, of course, you would like to see some?) I mean like, Lily(Main) meeting her father he was gone for so long? I don't know. Trumpette OUT!~ (PS that is what my friends call me. Maybe because I like Trump?)
