Memory
The forest was quiet. Darkness was falling all around me, the light fog that was rising from the mossy forest floor caressed my sweat soaked skin. Where was I? Who was I? I blinked the dizzying lights from my eyes and sat up, rubbing at my temple. My hair was matted and soaked from sweat, sticking to my forehead in clumps of brown. Leaning back on my hands for a moment, I took in my surroundings. This forest, as peaceful as it was, was eerie. No noise of birds, buzz of bugs, or even the rustle of leaves. What was I doing here? I looked down at myself, registering the fact that I was, in fact, naked and out in the open. Panicked, I covered my gonads with my broad hands and fought the rising blush, only to redden them further. Where was my clothes?! For fuck sake's, if this was some sort of joke, someone is going to pay dearly. I looked around some more, hoping to God that someone wasn't snickering at my junk behind a tree. How embarrassing. After what seemed like a lifetime, I sighed and gathered myself up. Standing, and still covering my sensitive topic, I began to wander the mossy forest floor. Maybe there was a road nearby? I listened for the roar of cars, but was only greeted with the softness of moss under my bare feet. I kept wandering, over large rocks and scaling small cliffs, hoping to hear something, anything at all. No chirp, no annoying buzz, no rustle. The silence broke when my stomach growled. Great, now I'm tired and hungry. My muscles ached and my stomach complained loudly with each step. The sun had gone, and the fog was rising. It tickled my ankles, snaked up my naked legs and sent shivers down my back until I was drowning in it. The moisture was no help to my aching muscles, in fact, I think it worsened it. I sat on a nearby mossy flat rock, the unwelcoming squish creeping up my ass cheeks and making me cringe. God this was gross feeling. But this place was covered in it. Moss as far as the eye can see. The only other color in this forest was the trunks of these old trees, worn from age and probably never even touched before. These virgin trees, ancient and wise. Through the fog, broke the moon. It shone brightly through the canopy of leaves above me, and almost like clockwork, my muscles screamed. The noise that escaped my lips was guttural, it sounded odd coming from a humans lips. But it wasn't the tearing of muscles that caused me the most amount of pain. One by one, I could feel my bones popping out of place, and eventually they broke. The forest was filled with my screams, echoing back at me hauntingly. I collapsed into the soft ceaseless bed of moss, crippled in pain and broken in frame. Why? Why? What have I done? It was then that the skin tore, the bones sticking out at unnatural angles and blood spurting from the wounds. It covered the moss around me, speckles of red against green. My screams continued, but they became deeper, more beastly. My gums cried out in agony, my teeth being pushed out and replaced by thicker, long, and sharper teeth. Even my tongue, who was pierced twice and had two silver rings in it, fell to the moss in a bloody heap. The rings glinted dimly, but my eyes gave one last tear before spluttering into the darkness, and as if by some miracle of disgust and horror, I watched my own eyes fall and collide with my tongue in a squishy, disgusting heap. Soon, my skin followed, and I could feel myself being covered in a thick blanket of warmth. The skin peeled off of me in shreds, ripping and tearing itself away from the pelt I was beginning to grow. On all fours, my nails were quickly pushed out of my fingers, and replaced by grotesquely yellowed claws, curving so much it dug deep into the moss bed. As my body changed, so did my mind. It became sharper. My eyes could see miles more, yet the color was diluted so bad you could easily mistake everything for a black and white world. I could smell so much more, the variety was astonishing. The moisture in the moss, and the bitterness of vegetation were overwhelming. But there was a much more... alluring scent. It made my loins ache. I craved it, I wanted it so badly. But instincts kicked in, and with the steaming flesh surrounding me, I had ti get rid of it. I need to. Without hesitation, I leaned forward, and with my new teeth, picked the bloody mess up and gorged on the hot feast before me. The eyes went down easily, as did the skin. The tongue, however, slid down less fabulously. After feasting on my human flesh, I sniffed around and caught the marvelous scent once again. The female. I sprang into a run, my muscles gasping in enthusiasm as the trees whipped by me, the floor turned into a blur of green mounds until finally, I saw her. A black female, she sat on top of a rock, bathing in the moonlight. I slowed to a stop before her, my fur standing up. I wanted her. She could feel my need to rut her, even without opening her eyes. She simply turned around, and let me have my craving.
It was dusk by the time I regained consciousness. But this time, I wasn't alone. In my arms, laying on top of me, was a woman.
