Chapter 2: The Mansion
Hayden shushed me, let me go and told me to go in, he seemed so calm, how could he be calm at this moment, there was literally a Griffin and a Pegasus in my room. Not to mention Fiona had turned into fire. Hayden closed the door, and his arm started to glow gold, so brightly, that if the door was open, the light would probably fill the whole hall. Everyone stared in awe.
"Yesss," Hayden exclaimed, "I earned my mark!" Somehow I knew what that meant: when they have made a great achievement that could change the world.
"We have to leave now, the monster knows where you are." The Griffin stated. The monster in my dream, he's back.
I packed my stuff and we left got go find the mansion that I would stay in to hide.
I rode on the Pegasus bareback, but still seemed to stay on.
The ride wasn't very long and when we got to the mansion where we were going to stay, I was shown where everything was.
My room was huge. It was painted a light beige and had a daybed covered in old-fashioned white sheets in front of a window shaded by maroon curtains. Outside I could see a pond that almost looked black, surrounded by dying grass. I recognized the place, but I couldn't tell where from. I searched my brain but was still left thinking after what seemed to be hours, but it was probably just five minutes. I decided to get it off my mind by going to the mansion's library.
I found an odd book, and took it back to my room. It was like green with a lock on it, and it didn't seem too old. I rubbed my hand over the lock, noticing no keyhole. On it, were the words "only the true keeper may open me." As I closed my fingers over the lock, I heard a popping noise, and looked to see that the lock had come open.
