"Yeah. What's your name?" I asked.

He smiled. "It's Hei Bloodstone," he said. I felt my heart ache as he turned around and faded into the shadows. I almost called out for him not to leave.

"Dianna you idiot! You barely know that boy! For all you know he could be a criminal!" I mentally screamed at myself.

Dad and Roy found me a couple minutes later. After seeing my neck and bandaging it, Dad begged me to tell him what happened. I just shook my head in response and asked if we could go back home.

~ Three days later at sunset ~

I sat in my room watching as Dad and Ryo left for another fundraiser ball. Looking towards the garden below me I spotted Alfred and Dick reading on a picnic blanket. My heart ached to be down there reading with them or going to the fundraiser ball with Dad and Ryo.

I would have, but since dawn I felt myself going through the changes that Hei had mentioned only three days prior. The sun was setting. It was nearly time.

I pulled the curtains closed and fell to the floor as the pain only increased in strength. My mouth hurt as I felt my canines grow nearly twice in length. I clawed at the carpet as my nails became claw like and larger leather bat like wings ripped through the back of my pajama top. I hissed in pain and looked towards the mirror. No refection. Go figure.

"So I have a Vampire form," I said softly under my breath. After some deep breaths and imagining how I had looked, I saw in the mirror my reflection had returned to normal. I went to stand when a new pain began in my chest and head. I collapsed to the floor as I passed out from exhaustion due to my first form and the pain caused by my second form coming through.
