Chapter 3

One Month Later

Marinette turned up to school late again. Her eyes were sore and red and her nose was running. It looked like she had been crying. Alya comforted her as best as she could, but the  situation Marinette was in, were far from the type that a best friend could handle.

"She told me that Her and Luka had another fight Last night" Alya sighed, rubbing her hand. Adrien looked Pitifully at Marinette across the Room.

"Did she tell you what the fight was about?" Nino Asked. Alya shook her head. "So.. I was hoping that she might seek comfort from one of her close male friends. She might tell you if you ask her, you know.. Maybe she will feel more open talking about a guy to a guy" Alya folded her arms and looked at both Adrien and Nino.

"So, Which one of you will it be?" Alya Asked, eyebrow raised, a cute smirk on her face. Adrien Gulped. "I'll do it. If she doesn't talk to me, it won't be my fault" He said, standing up and making his way over to Marinette.

She sat by the window, her face buried in her hands. Adrien sat next to him. She glanced at him, and smiled gratefully. "I must look horrible" she said, looking out the window. Adrien smiled. "Not At all"

"So uh, Are you Alright?" Adrien Asked, resting his hand on hers. Her eyes darted to his and her face crumpled up. She grabbed his hand and led him out of the class. Adrien looked confused while Alya just gave him a wink and a thumbs up.

Marinette sat down in the hallway, down a small corridor where barely anybody went. She crossed her legs and watched Adrien settle down across from her.

"Luka..He got mad at me Last night. We said some things.. and now he hates me" she said, choking up on tears. Adrien pulled her over lightly onto his lap and let her lay in his chest, crying softly.

He rubbed her head and whispered that it would all be alright into her ear. Eventually she settled down and moved slightly back, still sitting on Adriens lap. Their noses were almost touching. Her eyes looked full of so much hurt. He touched her cheek and she breathed in the scent of his aftershave.

She looked at his light red colored lips and blinked a few times, her long lashes full of tears. His heart was beating. Was this really happening? Was the girl he still had feeling for her really going to kiss her?

Marinette Leaned in, their lips a centimeter apart. She ran one hand through his hair and one on his shoulder. She looked at Adrien with her bright blue orbs and..

She sighed and lay into his chest, nuzzling his neck. "I'm sorry.." she said, her voice cracking. He breathed heavily. "It's alright... Don't even worry about it" He said, rubbing her head.

"Can we stay like this?" She whispered. He turned to face her with a sympathetic smile. "I'm afraid not" he whispered. Marinette let out a huge sigh of disappointment. "I wish we could" she said. Adrien Paused for a minute and smiled. "I wish that too"

The Bell Rang out for the Next Class. Marinette  groaned. "But I was so comfortable..." Adrien Laughed. They both stood up, And Adrien Squeezed her hand. She smiled at him. It was then he noticed that her cheeks were flushed
cheery red. She was blushing!

"Adrien..Do you want to come over later?" Marinette Asked, biting her lip. He smiled. "Could we bake cookies?" He asked while she giggled. "Uh.. I was going to ask if you could do that thing..the thing you did there.." Marinette mumbled.

Adrien looked confused. "You mean, where I relaxed you?" He asked. She nodded. "I just felt so..safe" she said biting her lip. "How did you do that?" She asked.

"My mother did it to calm me down if my father shouted at me.. She'd take me to my room and nest  me right on her shoulder and rub my back until I felt better..Then My father gave out to her for babying me" Adrien sighed.

"Oh..I see" Marinette said. She truly felt sad for the boy. He would always look really sad when he talked about his mother. "She seems Lovely" Marinette said, giving a small smile. Adrien turned to her and gave her a smile. "She was lovely"
