AFTER MALEA AND HOLLAND GOT SENT BACK TO QUEENS BY TONY, life had continued as normal. They had went to school as planned, trained, and just lived their life like before.
And Lea still questioned who exactly was p. parker. Which led her to finding out. But of course, she still had to go to school, and that would be an obstacle in her path that was slightly difficult to remove.
"It's been ages since I've seen you wearing those," Malea pointed out in the fresh air, as she walked to school with her sister.
Holland's hands fumbled to the large glasses resting on the crook of her nose. "Well, my contact solution somehow dried up. Besides, I may as well use natural vision while studying for my finals. God, you are so lucky you don't have to sit the proper finals this year."
"Well, I still have to sit the practice ones. Which will probably be just as bad." Lea's hand tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, preventing it from blowing past her face.
"But at least they won't count for your final mark." Holland implied, trying to deal the point to her sister.
"Fair enough. Have you heard anything from Tony?"
"Just about the whole thing with the bomb in Vienna and Winter Soldier, as well as the death of King T'Chaka." Holland spoke, looking down slightly. "He didn't deserve to die, he was a really good man."
"I agree." Malea said. "Let's just hope his son, T'Challa is as good as his father."
"Did you not hear? The new king is the Black Panther himself."
"What?" Malea's eyes squinted.
"Yep. He got exposed when Steve and Sam got arrested."
"Hold up." Lea held a hand in front of Holland, stopping them both from walking. "Steve and Sam got arrested?!"
Holland nodded. Malea scoffed, "Why the hell does nobody tell me these things?"
"Ponder over that while we make pizza for dinner tonight." Holland answered, as they finally reached their school, Midtown High.
For some time, Malea wandered around the high school with her sister. Then Holland spoke up, "This is me." She motioned to a door labelled 'HIGHER GEOGRAPHY'. "I'll see you later."
"Great. I'll see you." Lea smiled, allowing her sister to walk into her class. Malea walked ahead.
On the way to her class, Malea had noticed something, and it made her stop in her tracks slightly. It was a guy, with caramel brown hair, his hands fingering with the straps of his bag. It took a few seconds before Lea realised who it was.
"Hey, Alex!" Lea waved a hand in the air, gaining the attention of none other than Alex Evans.
Confused at first, Alex then recognised Malea and gave a brief wave, before jogging lightly over to her.
"Hi!" Malea greeted, grinning. "When did you get here?"
"Just now. This school is seriously cool." Alex returned.
Malea rolled her eyes. "Your first day?" Alex nodded. "Well, everyone thinks that on their first day."
He laughed. "Uh- have you seen your sister?" Alex asked, his face slightly tinting into a pinkish colour.
Lea grinned, knowing what was coming. "Yeah, I have. She actually just went into Higher Geography, and by the looks of it," (Lea had a peek of the schedule waving down below in Alex's hand), "so do you."
Alex looked a bit startled, or more, surprised. "Oh. Thank you. For this, and telling Tony about me and getting me into Midtown."
Lea chuckled, "Its no problem. You know, you must have quite some brains to be in the same geography class as Holland."
Alex smiled in return. "Where exactly is this Higher Geography class?"
"First room to the left at the end of the corridor. The sign is big, so you're unlikely to miss it."
"Thanks. I'll see you later." Alex began to walk off.
Malea walked towards her locker, to get her books out. As she entered the code to unlock it, she sensed a human body slide her back on the metal next to her locker.
"Hey, Clare." Malea spoke, her eyes staying fixed on her locker as her hands fetched for certain assignments.
"Hey, Lea." Clara Hunter spoke. Clara, was a good friend of Malea's, in certain aspects. The blonde was the only one in school who knew of Malea's gifts, the pyrokinesis and telekinesis. After a small slip-up regarding Clara and a fallen bookcase, Malea figured she should keep Clara in her distance. And it was worth it, to Malea, as she found herself and Clara becoming seriously close.
Lea locked her locker and put her books in her bag, before lacing her arm with Clara's.
"What have you got first?" Lea asked.
"Business Management." Clara replied. "You know, you never did tell me how yours and Holland's 'mission' went."
"It went as I expected. Tony eventually found us, and we had to come back here." Lea answered.
"At least you tried. It's better attempting and knowing you wanted to make a difference than not attempting at all."
Malea chuckled. "You know, you sound exactly like her. Holland."
Clara laughed, "Well, I do hang out with her adopted sister."
"Alright, this is me." Lea stood next to a door that had 'COMPUTING' labelled on it.
"Great, I'll see you later." Clara said with a wave of goodbye.

NOW COULDN'T HAVE BEEN A BETTER TIME FOR MALEA TO BE LATE. For her Netball club, especially. It was the first time she had gone back to Netball, after the whole 'mission' thing. And it was also the match day, meaning that her club would be going up against another.
Hastily, she hurried out of class and began to run along the corridors and out of the school buildings. As her feet ran across the pavement, she dodged in and out of the surrounding students, being careful not to knock anyone over.
At some point in her scramble to get to the netball centre, she realised she had barged some guy, and could sense the crashing of his stuff as it clattered all across the ground. The polite thing, as Malea was doing, was to help the guy pick his stuff up.
She handed the guy his books as he was also bent down and picking his stuff up, and here and there she would mutter 'sorry' and things along those lines. Malea reached for the final item, a camera bag which was a bit heavy, and Lea guessed there was a camera inside. Handing him the bag, she only caught a glimpse of his brown eyes, before she scurried away.
"Sorry!" She shouted as she began to run away, thinking that she wouldn't have any other chance to apologise.
But little did she know, there would be plenty more opportunity for that in the near future.
