"10:58. COME ON, COME ON!" Arthur Weasley rushes his family and the Potter in the train station as they head to Platform 9¾. The barrier was through the wall of Platform 9¾ in the train station to the Wizarding World.
The whole family was up at dawn to be ready to get to the station but time was not on their side this morning. There had been a great deal to do. It was like a fest of everyone running in and out of their bedrooms, doing last minute packing and such. It was a miracle that they ended up making it to the station in time.
"Train will be leaving any moment!" Mrs. Weasley announces to the children. "Fred, George, Percy, you first!" Arthur orders and Fred is the first to push his cart through the barrier to Platform 9¾, followed by Percy and George.
Ginny is next and pushes her cart into the barrier and are soon followed by Molly and Arthur. Harry turns to his twin and Ron to get to through the platform next. "Let's go." Harry tells and Ron nods and then the two boys push their carts directly for the wall.
However, instead of going through the wall like expected, Harry inexplicably crashes into it and falls over; Ron loses control of his cart, and falls over as well. Daisy stops her cart in time not wanting to end up like the two boys in front of her.
A station agent, notices this while speaking to a woman, and approaches Harry and Ron as they get to their feet, groaning from their slight injuries. "Oy! What do you two think you're doing?" The station agent asks. "Sorry. Lo-lost control of the trolley." Harry tells.
The agent shakes his head at them and walks away; Harry glances at Ron and Daisy is confused. This didn't happen to them last year. "Uh, what just happened?" Daisy questions, joining the two. "Why can't we get through?" Harry questions.
"I don't know," Ron tells. He touches the wall with his hand, discovering the bricks have become solid. "The gateway's sealed itself for some reason." Daisy is still very confused how the gateway has sealed itself. And why it happened with them but not when the Weasleys went through it.
Suddenly, the three hear a clock chime and Daisy looks down at her watch and groans. "The train leaves at exactly 11:00. We've missed it!" Harry tells. Ron glances at the clock in horror and then turns to Harry and Daisy. "If we can't get through, maybe Mum and Dad can't get back."
Harry begins to try and think about their dilemma and what to do. "Maybe we should just go and wait by the car." Harry plans.
The sound of these words suddenly gives Ron an idea. "The car..." Harry glances at him, wondering what he's got in mind and Daisy smirks and nods once she thinks of the same idea. "The car."
When discussing their plan, Ron didn't exactly think it was a good idea but at this rate — what choice did they have? In the end, Ron chose the short end of the stick and ended up joining in the plan. If only Hermione were here.
The Potter twins were lucky enough that Ron knew how to drive the car in the air. A pit settled in Daisy's stomach — feeling empathetic towards Ron with how his parents were gonna handle this once they saw the car was gone.
Ron was in the driver's seat as Harry was in the passenger seat and Daisy was in the back with Hedwig, Ruel and Scabbers. Her elbows kept bumping into the cages, nearly striking them every time she moved. "Next time, I call shotgun." Daisy told with a glare towards her brother and friend.
Ron had successfully gotten the car in the air and through London. Daisy felt anxious about this one - scared of what the Muggles may think of this one. "Ron, I should tell you — more muggles aren't accustomed to see a flying car." Harry tells, seemingly reading Daisy's mind.
"Uh, right..." Ron tells, pressing a button and making the car invisible. They had flown through the sky and through the clouds for at least a while and towards the train tracks until all of a sudden, Daisy and Harry could see the outside of the car.
"Oh, no! The Invisibility Booster must be faulty!" Ron announces, trying to press the button again. "Well, we aren't near any Muggles or buildings. Just get lower." Daisy assures and Harry nods, "Daisy's right, we need to find the train." Ron nods, "Okay." He pushes a lever down and gets close to the tracks.
"Now, all we need to do is catching with the train." Harry tells. "We can't be far behind." Ron assumes.
Suddenly, a train horn is heard. "Do you hear that?" Harry asks. "We must be getting close!" Ron tells.
Daisy heard the train horn get closer and furrows her brows because it sounds closer but there's no train in front of them. "Hold on." Harry mutters and both Ron and Harry look at each other.
Daisy takes this opportunity to turn around and sees that the train is right behind them. "Uh, not to freak anyone out — but we are definitely closer than we thought!" Both Harry and Ron scream and Ron swerves the car off the tracks and spins the car around through the bridge.
Daisy's heart drops when she hears one of the car doors open and her eyes widen in horror when she sees the car door that has opened is her brother's and he's out of the car, holding onto the car door for dear life. "Harry!" Both Ron and Daisy scream.
The younger Potter twin makes her way to the front as carefully as she can without falling out herself. "Harry, hold on!" Daisy yells. "Take my hand!" Harry tries his best to reach for his sister and he has caught her hand but only for a second.
"Harry, hold on!" Daisy shouts. "I'm trying! Your hand's all sweaty!" Harry tells. "They're not sweaty!" Daisy argues and can't believe she's having a minor argument with him as he's hanging out of the car.
And successfully, Daisy's grabbed onto Harry's hand and pulls him in and Harry closes the car door and locks it. Daisy leans back in her seat, out of breath from the whole ordeal.
Once Harry has caught his own breath, he speaks: "I think we found the train."
"Oh, you think?!" Daisy questions.
With that, the three had kept their distance with the car and as the sky grew darker, they had realized they finally reached their destination, their home — Hogwarts. Daisy smiled once she saw the castle.
"Welcome home." Ron said happily and the twins smiled to themselves but that had soon ended once the car decided to take a detour for itself.
It started zooming downwards, causing everyone in the car to freak out. "Up! Up!" Harry shouts and Ron tries,
"It's not working!" Harry begins to try and help him but everything is going wrong. Daisy silently begins to pray to Merlin that she makes it out of this alive.
"Mind that tree!" Harry yells. As they head for the tree, Ron pulls his wand out and hits it against the steering wheel. "Stop, stop, stop!"
The three have landed into the tree, slowly going down and are trapped into the tree. There is a moment of silence before Ron speaks: "My wand. Look at my wand." It almost sounds as if he's going to cry. Daisy looks over and sees that his wand is now broken in half.
"Be thankful it's not your neck." Harry comments and suddenly movement is heard within the car. "What's happening?" Ron squeaks. "I don't know." Harry says.
The branches on the tree begin to hit every side of the car, nearly knocking the three around and breaking the windows on the car. The car had then been knocked out of the tree and before the tree can cause any more damage, they have made it to the school grounds.
The doors open to the car and they are all booted out of the car. Their trunks are next as well as their animals. Daisy looks at Ruel and no feather is harmed on his body.
Before they could do anything, the car begins to drive itself off and the three go to chase after it but realize there was no use. They watch as it goes away in the distance, all out of order and Ron sighs: "Dad's gonna kill me."
"Yeah, there's no way we're ever going back to your house for supper." Daisy comments, patting Ron on the back. "Come on, we better go. They've probably already started the feast."
With that, the three had grabbed their trunks and their pets and headed into the entrance. Daisy placed Ruel next to Hedwig and her trunk over to where the girls' area was, dropping their things off in the castle.
When they've all finished, Harry, Daisy and Ron begin to head up to the steps towards the common room. "So, a house elf shows up in our bedroom, we can't get through the barrier to Platform 9¾, we almost get killed by a tree..." Harry lists. "Don't forget that we almost got ran over by a train and you almost fell out of the car..." Daisy adds.
"Clearly, someone doesn't want us here this year." Harry told and as they reach the top, they're faced with Mr. Filch and his cat, Mrs. Norris at the top of the staircase and Mr. Filch has a smug look on his face.
"Well, take a good look, lads. This night might well be the last you spend in this castle." Daisy and Harry look to each other and then at Ron. "Oh, dear, we are in trouble..." Filch mocks the distress on their faces.
Oh, just set a Killing Curse on me now. Daisy thinks in her head once Mr. Filch had sent the three to Snape's office.
