# 3RD FORM OF DANIEL !

Finding his way back to Jane (Jake) was more difficult than he had originally thought.

Despite knowing that it was embarrassing to see his ridiculous state of limping thanks to the fact he only had one shoe on and didn't want to stain his white socks— he didn't really know what shame was and went on with walking on one foot.

His eyes scanned the club once more, still finding no signs of the capped person. He really should have gotten his number instead, but he doesn't think that Gun would like for him to save random strangers' numbers, or even asking for them.

He'll have to use his connections.

But firstly, he'll need to find information about the Sinu guy first. Seriously. Although he has only heard the name once and it was about food, he had to keep his end of promise.

Reaching for his phone, he was tempted to call Eugene's dial number— but he was afraid that it would raise his suspicions. He'll have to find another way somehow.

Would Gun know something? Though for instance, he'd hate to bother him at this time of day. He, of all, should know that the man needs peace now and then— he's sure to grow white hairs by the time he hits 30.

Maybe Goo would know something about it?

But that would spike odd to the blonde, he'll make a fuss about it and accidentally leak it.

Deciding against it, M/n chose to use his resources to the best of his abilities. Meaning, he had to resort on confidential files back in his former workplace in the workers.

Good news, he installed a chip to connect it. Bad news, it takes forever to load since the internet connection was halfway decent.

But it was better than nothing.

He just has to get into the files, see what they have in store for this 'Sinu' person, and then give some details to the person who currently has his other pair of shoe.

Sounds like a plan.

"M/n! There you are!"

Turning, the said boy looked and saw Oldface, he doesn't exactly know anything about him other than his identity, thanks to the advance citing of information he did beforehand.

"What's up?" He calmly spoke up, arching a brow.

"We need 'ya for something." The man ever-so-casually swung his arm around M/n's shoulder in an attempt of projecting friendliness. "The thing is, we need something more than the remuneration we receive now. If you could just maybe put us a good word in and perhaps lift us in the echelons, we'd really appreciate it."

What a sickening smile, all filled with such troublesome intentions.

"You get me, don't 'ya, M/n? We're the same."

M/n drew out a troubled huff, rolling his eyes as he shrugged off the man's arm. "Listen, Oldface, I think you may be having the wrong idea of why I'm here. The thing is," He mockingly emphasized. "I'm not here to help you with tax payment or lift you from deserved labor, I'm simply here to keep tights around this place."

By the look on his face, he could see the smile slowly falling off Oldface's face.

"I suggest you don't treat me as an equal because we aren't." M/n proceeded with a matter-of-fact kind of tone. "While you rot at the bottom of the pecking order, I run the mid-class. You and me," he drew a line between them, showing the distance. "We're not the same."

Oldface wasn't so pleased but he could tell he was right. There was nothing he can do against M/n— despite his weak appearance and the air of being a pushover, he proved to be a contrast of what he projects.

And he can't exactly suck up to him now, M/n seems to know what goes behind common employee's minds.

"Now, have you seen a guy about this tall, wearing a cap and a dark colored jacket? If you happen to, inform me right away." M/n reached for his phone, casually checking the time and the progress his little chip has made.

"Yes, sir."

He sounds defeated. That's good.

M/n looked around the place one more time before approaching the mini bar to order himself some apple juice to cool himself.

(Yes, he still refuses to drink because he can't stand bitter tastes.)

"Anything I can get you, sir?" He bartender asked while shaking the little metal cups attached together, it seems like he was mixing some strong alcohol there since M/n could smell it even from a distance.

Not trying to be subtle, M/n pinched his nose.

"I'll get an apple juice, please." It was an odd request, especially if you were in Korea's one of many popular clubs, it was odd to order such a simple drink when the menu consists of a wide range of exclusive drinks.

The bartender doesn't get it but he didn't try to voice it out.

M/n scrolled through his phone, patiently waiting for the loading of the chip to complete. It seems like he had a couple more hours left. Hopefully, Jane (Jake) wasn't on something terribly urgent.

He could see that Gun had sent him numerous pictures of himself, it was all on the same angle, looking at the camera like an old man. It was indulging and M/n could feel a smile crawl on his face at the mere sight.

There was another picture, and this time, it was a full body shot. Someone must have taken it for him, he seems to be on a balcony in front of the whole city. He looked expensive and incredibly attractive in M/n's opinion.

Nose flaring up as if emitting smoke, he quickly made it his wallpaper.

A successful grin graced his features once more.

"Umm, is this seat taken?"

Right, he almost forgot where he was. M/n glanced to his side and saw a rather short kid, he had familiar features and he seems to be on some kind of business.

What should he do?

"Not at all." M/n replied casually before tearing his gaze off the boy and back to Gun's messages.

He failed to notice that the boy had ordered the biggest and most exclusive drinks they had. It was practically a feast, and it was guaranteed to cost a lot too.

"Woah, there— you're loaded!" M/n finally noticed.

"Thanks?"

"Are you one of the kids with parents who are rich billionaires?" M/n arched a brow, he's seen one of those expensive kids before, they're currently in a private room enjoying their lives.

M/n was the same age as them but never had he gone through the process of being spoon-fed with golden utensils growing up. They were the privileged brats, just by sparing them a glance, M/n could tell they were assholes.

"Not sure." The boy replied, detached.

Was that supposed to be a reply or something?

"Here's your apple juice, sir." The bartender kindly placed down a glass with its content, and seeing it, it seemed more. . . Plain, compared to the kid beside him's order

"Thanks. What's the bill?" M/n spoke up, looking curiously.

"23,500 won, sir."

M/n almost choked on his apple juice. Seriously? Even more expensive than the fishcakes that filled him? This was outrageous. That expensive for a glass of apple juice from a store-bought box.

The boy beside him seemed concerned with the bill.

"Seriously? Then how much does this cost?" He asked, looking at the luxurious thing he ordered.

The bartender cleared his throat, "Enough. . ."

"Enough? I need justice! How am I supposed to enjoy my apple juice knowing I could have bought a whole supply with the money I'm gonna pay it for?!" M/n did his best to lower his voice but it was in vain.

Luckily, the blasting music in the background was even more noisy in terms of loudness.

"If it bothers you too much, old sir, I can pay for it." The boy shrugged after realizing he can pay anything with the badge that Gun gave.

"Old sir?!" M/n was in shock. Did he look that old? He doubts it. He really does. "I bet we're the same age! What's your name again, kid?"

"Hey! I'm not a kid." The boy then settled back to his stool. "And it's. . ." Should he be honest? He has met M/n for more than several occasions already, he heard the male broke an arm after Warren dragged him. Must be tough.

He can tell M/n wasn't that bad of a guy, just a complicated one. He was one hell of a character.

"Daniel." He finally decided. "It's Daniel."

"Daniel?" M/n groaned. "Another one, eh? Hope you don't cause any trouble. Every Daniel I've met in the past did all sorts of chaos."

"Is that so?" He released a nervous chuckle. "Should I pay for your drink? I really don't mind." It's the least he could do after dragging him into the mess the other day, and now, for intending to create another one.

"As much as I'd appreciate it, I don't need charity work." M/n yawned. Gun is basically the only one he would bother to no end. "I would have accepted your donation if I was the same M/n about 6 months ago. But now, I've turned a new page. I don't intend to rob people off their money anymore, I've become a complete angel."

Daniel felt a sweat drop from his temple. Last time he checked, angels don't exactly grow 2 horns.

The bartender was equally as unimpressed, trying to see if they were done with the unnecessary chatter.

"Ah, sorry, did I talk too much?" M/n cheekily grinned. He just apologized for talking too much, that's a first. "Here, I'll pay for my drink, I still have business with the Vivi owners." He reached for his wallet.

As he opened it, he failed to notice the pair of eyes that traveled along his movements.

His wallet was absolutely empty, not even a fly wanted to be there. But one thing that made his wallet a little less dull was a stack of pictures, several arcade cards, a ticket, and a single credit card.

Or more precisely, a black card.

Was Daniel impressed? Hell, yes. Seeing it in person was not a daily thing, and he knows just how high the value was. He was just shocked that someone who acted as careless and M/n had it, and it couldn't have been out of his own money.

One think that intrigued him and left him speechless was the pictures.

Although he can only see the front of 1 picture clearly since the others were behind it, he could see all the similarity it had. The head with black hair.

"Here." M/n smirked as he handed it to the bartender who looked like he was already used to seeing black cards.

Back to the pictures, Daniel finally had the answer to his lingering question about M/n's connection. Undoubtedly at the very front of his wallet was Gun's picture.

Unmistakably.

And for once, he didn't look so intimidating in the picture. It was just an ordinary picture from theme parks, wearing matching kiddy hats while taking photos in the photo booth. They looked very close.

It was M/n in the picture with him.

So, Daniel came into a conclusion that the two were partners. No wonder. But was he shocked? Yes. Never had Gun's life cross his mind, and to know he had a rather flamboyant and flashy significant other, it was just surprising. Never had he thought they could be a good pair, but perhaps— they were.

"Hey," M/n snapped his fingers in front of Daniel's eyes. "Earth to Daniel."

"Ah, sorry."

"You were staring, I would usually say it's rude but I know you can't help it— although I hate to admit it, I'm rather attractive so it's hard not to stare." There it was again, M/n flattering himself and lifting his ego above roofs.

Clearing his throat, Daniel stood up, having people assist him on moving his drinks to another table for better access.

"It was nice talking to you, M/n." Daniel politely bid his farewell.

"Likewise." M/n waved off, disinterested. What was he supposed to do again? Ah, right, find Jane (Jake) and then have his chip finished. He should get back to it instead of complaining about expensive apple juice.

Daniel was still in shock.

(Well, the secret is out of the bag, let's just hope Daniel doesn't say anything about it.)
