Okay so basically they realized that their parents have disappeared and run out of food in the cave they call home so they all leave the caves and they have disguises on with Moth coloring his wings orange with flower pollen and Eclipse coloring her wings blue with a different type of pollen and Swallowtail and Minty wear their parent's cloaks

When exploring the hives they meet a Silkwing named Sunflower and her Silkwing friend named Grasshopper and they don't reveal their hybrid identities and just state that their outsiders and the Silkwings don't suspect anything

They found out that their Nightwing mother was being held captive and their father was killed for being a "Silkwing traitor" while their Rainwing mother was missing and eventually they work together to free the Nightwing without telling the Silkwings why

And then when it's time for them to flee Grasshopper and Sunflower who want to leave the hives agree to leave with them, as they all leave together they encounter a Hivewing named Mayfly and her little brother named Nymph who are living in a cave (not the one they were living in a completely separate one) because they are immune to the usual Hivewing mind control and they agree to accompany them for part of their journey as they plan to go deeper into the woods than the Hivewings are comfortable with, but as the Hivewings eventually depart with the group as they go through the deep jungle, and they feel like someone is watching them, eventually vines wrapped around them and all the dragons get knocked out, then they awoke to having vine chains on their legs but at least their together, but the fact that their chained up is bad and the fact that their hybrids gets revealed with shock from their Silkwing friends but fortunately they still stick together but their in amazement about the fact that they're hybrids of types of dragons that aren't from Pantala and they're revealed to be in a cottage of a leafwing named Maple

Eventually Minty goes through her metamorphosis early at only age 3 (like five years old in dragon years) when usually dragons don't go through it until they turn 6 (like eighteen in dragon years and i know the math doesn't add up so bare with me here)

Eventually after a while and after the metamorphosis ends they gain Maple's trust and eventually they get Maple to go with them to the Leafwing tribe and they discover that their other mother was living there and they all live in the village together happily ever after
