I just realized something. In the Titan's Curse Annabeth fell of a cliff, and in the Mark of Athena, Annabeth fell of a cliff. The difference is that during the Titan's Curse Percy was stopped by the hunters, while in the Mark of Athena Percy actually followed Annabeth.
