I opened my eyes wearily, with a heavy, sunken feeling in my chest. The weak rays of sunlight which had leaked through the mahogany windowsills in my relatively dark colored room. I got up pushing the black sheets of my bed off of me with a small sigh, the bed letting out a small squeak of protest as I swung myself over the end and onto my feet. I rubbed my eyes and took another deep breath; my anxiety was getting the upper hand. I'll be fine. The wooden polished floors were cold against my feet as I walked across to my suitcase with the little clothes that I had. I Unzipped the case and pulled out a tightly knit gray sweater and black leggings, which were the last gift my caretakers gave me.

"Hey, Viola! Come join us for our last breakfast together!" A bright young female voice called down.

"Hey wait one second! I need to change!" I puffed, and changed my clothing hastily. After my task was finished I went to the door and turned the brass knob; another step towards my freedom. I took my time as I stepped out into the hallway, with floral wallpaper lined with paintings of nature that Nami and I had created. I relished the times and many hours we had worked on our art, though she was much better than me, she helped me become almost as skilled as her. We had brought canvases and paint with us on hikes, and painted what we had seen. I went down the stairs and took a sharp right to the narrow brightly lit hallway that led to the kitchen, where Nami, had her back faced towards me cooking something. I took a sniff and smelled bacon and sausages, and a hint of pancakes. Nami's long silky black hair was hung loosely in a long ponytail which reached her lumbar region. She turned and glanced back at me with a happy and proud look, giving me a quick wink. I giggled and pulled out an oak chair from the round table in the middle of the white tiled room and sat down, where decorative china plates were already set up.

"Where are the others?" I queried Looking around the room.

"They're not going to be here..." Nami sounded sad, the soft clinking of pots and pans being created as she put kitchen appliances away into cabinets and drawers. The Asian walked over and held out a sizzling pan, scooping some egg, and bacon onto my plate. Then put two pieces of sausages and egg on her plate, and walked back to plate the pancakes.

"Oh, I'll be sure to visit and call whenever I can alright?" I gave her a half smile as she looked back at me with her brown eyes full of lachrymose. She let out a small sigh and returned to her seat across from me and sat down slowly, placing a plump fluffy pancake that was plated next to the other dishes.

"Okay, it's just I'm going to actually miss you... I mean you've been in this small foster home for almost five years and it feels more than that. " Her voice wavered, she bit her lip and shook her head.

"Please don't cry!" I pleaded and shot up, rushing over to the 28 year-old woman wrapping my muscular arms around her as she let out a sob. "I'm not going forever!"

"Ugh, I'm p-proud to see you go, but you know..." She took a sharp breath and wiped her tearing eyes with her pale palm.

"I know, I'm going to miss you too." I ran my fingers through her fine silky hair, she let out a small giggle. "Whats the point in being sad? I'm not dead, and I will keep in contact when I can't visit."

"Okay." She let out air from her lungs and closed her eyes. "Alright."

"Let's just enjoy our last breakfast together!" I gave her light kiss into her soft hair and went back to my seat.
