Angels or Demons; the dichotomy of the little ones

Angels or Demons; the dichotomy of the little ones

In our little Realm, lies an elusive beast, a monster showing its true colors only when the night is well descended upon us. Last night, I saw the monster. It was on the small side, pinkish skin and golden-ish pelt. What was unsettling were the screams. The screams this little thing was able to produce were out of this world. Last night, the Queen saw the Princess Royal transform into Miss Hyde.

Since few days now, the Princess Royal is back sleeping like a baby, waking up every two or three hours and asking for a feed… Then, when she lies on the bed she will scream to death. No need to say the Royal couple is less than happy with the situation. Sleep is slowly escaping, out of reach. Grumpiness and short temper are back…

Then, in the morning, the Princess Royale is normal again, her usual self, demanding and charming at the same time. So, what triggers the transformation? A royal study was launched. Results are yet to be received. In the meantime, guards will be set at night and utmost precaution will be taken to handle the monster…

Then, another sort of monster appeared in our lovely Realm. This one shows its mark during the day. This monster thinks it is an artist, lavishing the walls of the palace in all sorts of colors and forms. The result is never the one it expected, but it gives some result nonetheless. Usually, the output is a punition for the Little Prince who seemed to be the one found with the tools of the artist. Here again, an investigation was ordered to sort the trouble out.

These investigations, though not completed yet, seem to point out the dual nature of the royal progeny. It appears that the Little Prince and Princess Royale would not be the perfect image of serenity, quiet and proper conduit that would be expected from them. Surely, the Royal couple does not accept such a mundane explanation. There shall be some magic or sorcery behind such a change in the behavior of the little ones.

It is not acceptable to think that the Little Prince would willingly draw on the walls or throw is toys by the window. It is not acceptable to think that the Princess Royale would turn in a jealous monster when she sees her brother enjoying a cuddling moment in her royal mother’s laps. The state of untidiness of their room cannot be attributed either to the fact they are merely children…

This is a Royal decree. Anyone mentioning the young age as the Royal Progeny will be simply ignored. The Little Prince and Princess are two angels who would never turn into monsters by their own feat.
