It's Nicole here--back with some basic cover tips.

One of the best ways to get a nice basic cover is to use templates--which are widely available on wattpad. I have a templates book so you can go there.

This is an example of what I think a basic cover should look like--simple but elegant.

Basic covers aren't made to be so overly basic that they look ugly. I suggest using a uniform color for the text and don't put text everywhere. I have also found that we should refrain from having subtitles as these sometimes crowd up the text. Don't make the author's name or credits too big as this can divert the viewer's attention from the actual main points.
