Once I get home from work I flop onto the couch, exhausted after chasing 2-year olds around the Eastland Mall.

"Home at last.." I groan internally.

A short little mew comes from my cat Nudge, a black shorthair who curls up on my belly, giving me the most innocent look ever.

"Hey Nudge, I know that look, what did you do this time?" He jumps down and runs off, returning with a large mouse.

"Nudge! No mice! Go throw that away!" He drops it and mews at me demandingly. "C'mon Nudge go throw it away!" He mews again, demanding. "You demanding little kitty you, go throw that dang mouse away!" He gives me a weird look, picking up the mouse and walking off.

I sit there on the couch, bored out of my mind. I dont have cable cus i normally watch tv on Netflix, but i dont have momey to pay for it this month cus of Nudge's vet bills.

Im 24 years old and live in a one story apartment, working as a babysitter i make a shocking 10 dollars an hour. I know, amazing.

I shake out my long wavy dark redish brown hair and decide to take a bath.

In the bath Nudge decides to hang out and sits on the bathtub ledge. "Hey Nudgey wudgey, is the pretty kitty bored?" He mews loudly.

Trying to jump up on the higher ledge of the bathtub wall he falls in, mewing and scowling and scrambles and races away, startled and soaking wet.

After my balth I start working on an essay that will get me into college.

"Nudge get off my computer please?" He flops down onto the keyboard, A large array of random letters messing up my assignment. "Nudge! Your messing up my work!"

He mews tauntingly and seems to smile at me. I huff and give up, "alright you little demon, Lets play."

Me and Nudge spend the next hour or two chasing eachother around my apartment.

"Hey open up!" A deep voice yells from my door.

Nudge running off to hide I look through the peep hole to find my freind Nickolas pretending to be a cop. "come out with your hands up!" Laughing i let Nickolas in, "took you long enough."

"Yeah yeah hang on i gotta get changed."  I run into my room, Nickolas yelling behind me.

"Then its party time! Woohoo!"
