"Guys run please" Steven cried starting to cough up blood. The Gems ran up to him and Garnet lifted him up. Steven licked his hand and put it on his wound but it had no use. "Guys protect Connie at all costs please" his voice grew faint. He could feel his body pulling towards his gem and everything went black. The gems grabbed the boys gem and fused protecting Connie and they ran to the warp pad. They went to the barn and unfused.
"Hi guys how's it going" Peridot said. Suddenly she burst into tears after she saw the gems holding Stevens gem. Suddenly Lapis walked up and fell to the ground in tears.
"What happened to Steven" Peridot cried. The gems then explained what the government did to Steven and they all were filled with hatred and anger.

                                                             Stevens Pov
  I looked around and I saw pink clouds around me like the ones in mom's room at the temple. I walked around and I found a screen that showed me the gems surrounding my gem. Why did this have to happen now they are in danger and there was nothing I could do. I heard a familiar voice behind me and I turned around to see my mom. "Mom I thought you died" I cried.
"Son I said I would always be with you" she said in a soothing tone. I ran up to her and gave her a hug.
  "Mom even if I didn't know you I still really missed you" I cried. "Mom how do I get back they must be worried sick?" I asked.
  "Steven there are only two things that can happen now you can either return as a full gem or I will have to come out leaving you here all alone" she said in a serious tone.
"I have to try" I said.
  "You need to focus on how you want to look then you will reform" she said.
  "Alright I will try" he said.
