Every King has a Story
Okay, A few things before we begin. One, sorry for the delay, I was unmotivated and uninspired, and I wanted to give all you people kind, curious, or crazy enough to read the stuff I write to make your guesses on the weapon Izuku used. Because the contest ends now that this chapter is out since that will be revealed. So, as the only person to guess, Spawn06081699 wins. Now, how many parasites does Aizawa have to deal with? Also, you can add 1 to 3 OC's, just tell me their name(s) quirk(s) general personalit(ies), and if they're a hero, villain, hero student, or recurring background character.
Also, I'm closing the shipping poll now, and with the only vote to actually follow my guidelines, Melissa wins. Which is good, because I thought of a nice little head cannon to tie into this.
I will also incorporate some of the characters from Vigilantes, though one in particular in Izuku's back story.
This chapter explores why Izuku became the way he is, and me and my psychotic mind somehow found something worse than what you'd normally see for this kind of story. And if you all want, I've thought of a couple of ways to make it even darker.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
(NO One POV)
"I can't believe it!" Naomasa Tsukauchi said. For those that don't know, he's a detective and good friends with All Might, and he has a lie detection quirk.
"What, that he fought me and had me on the ropes of over a half-hour or that he uses he uses combs as weapons?" asked the undercover god of insomnia, also known as Aizawa.
"Shota, do you even know what the thugs, delinquents, and even small-time villains call him around here? They call him King. I'm not kidding, Almost everyone in this area calls him the King of Delinquents. And he earned that title. You saw what he did to those delinquents and villains, it was 50-1 odds and he won. He's like the you of delinquents and if you were quirkless!" Naomasa exclaims, clearly more done than Aizawa's class two years ago. "We can't even arrest him because every time he was just defending himself. Or at least that's what we thought. But now he tells on the way here that he started by looking for fights, and overthrew a lesser Yakuza group for training! TRAINING!!! Who does that for training?!"
"You know," started the man that could be mistaken for the human equivalent of a vampire, "We could ask him the rest of his story."
"I know Shota. Let's get this over with."
As the two men entered into the interrogation room, they were surprised to see Izuku leaning back with his feet on the table and hands behind his head.
Naomasa, looking ready for 8 cups of coffee and for an aneurysm to put him into a coma so he would no longer have to deal with this, was very clearly confused. He was sure that Izuku was handcuffed to the table; so he decided to voice his question.
Izuku's response? "I didn't like how they felt, and they were starting to cut off circulation to my hands, so I broke them. The pieces are by the door." And sure enough, they were. The handcuff, broken in five different places.
"How did you brake these in five different places?"
"I don't know. I stopped trying to make sense of life years ago."
"Look kid," Aizawa started.
"Don't call me kid," before Izuku interrupted. "I've most likely lived the life veteran pros have. It doesn't matter that I'm 14. So don't. Call. Me. Kid. That Okay?"
"Alright, problem child," Aizawa responded, in a sassy way like some of the students he hadn't expelled would.
"... Okay, I'm okay with that one," Izuku said.
"Anyway, we'd like to know why you've practically turned yourself into Garou." Aizawa put forth. "You do know who that is right? You don't look like someone that would watch too much anime."
"You don't either. But that is a tale. If you both really want to know, get comfy, it'll take a while," Izuku started. "Oh, and have someone get me something to drink."
Tsukauchi and Aizawa sat down at the table, one with their quirk ready to validate or falsify the claims, the other to get some backstory.
"My story began when I was four. Back then I learned a few very important lessons. All men are not born equal, the strong will hurt the weak for any reason, and explosions get less painful with time. When I was five I learned that my mother was a badass, and that there's always another option.
(Flashback, 10 years ago)
Izuku is four years old, beaten to the point that his blood and bruises look like a Picasso painting. Why? Because he tried to help someone with a bully, that bully being Katuski Bakugo. And Izuku, with no quirk, no muscle, and no training, couldn't defend himself.
After 10 minutes, Izuku regains enough feeling in his legs to jog his way home. Why so little time, and why can he jog? Well, unfortunately, this is a normal thing for the poor lad. To the point that it actually is making his body more adept at defending against explosions and fire-based attacks.
After some time, Izuku made it home, to the caring arms of his mother, Inko Midoria. (You all know what she looks like if you're reading this so I'm not gonna waste any more time and get onto the dark stuff) Now Inko loved her son more than anything, and while that might be a good thing in most cases, in this universe...
Now Inko sees her son covered in blood, and like the caring mother she is, pick him up and takes him inside as fast as she could to help him clean his wounds. They learned after the third time that hospitals will charge them more than a hundred time what they would for anyone else, and their insurance refused to cover it because it happened to a quirkless person; doesn't matter if said person is a child. So the two of them got really good at cleaning and field dressing wounds.
After they cleaned Izuku up, they booted up their computer to talk to Izuku's friend from America. You see, America saw the suicide rates among the quirkless, especially the youth, and sought to help these kids by getting them people they can talk to that can relate to their situation. So America convinced multiple countries to adopt the QVA, or Quirkless Video Act. Basically it makes it so that each quirkless kid in any country that adopts the act can have at least one "penpal" that the government will endorse communication with, specifically video chats so the kids can develop actual social skills.
Izuku just so happened to get the person that said was All Might's niece.
"Izuku, I know you're excited, but please calm down. You don't want to scare Melissa because you were smiling like a loon while covered in cuts and burns do you?" Inko playfully reprimanded Izuku, knowing full well that nothing she did would at this point would calm him before talking to his best friend.
"But mom," Izuku exclaimed with child-like innocence that would've been long gone from anyone else, "I just can't contan. cozain. ..."
"Contain."
"Contain my self. Thanks, mom." Izuku said.
"No problem, Izu." Inko replied.
Suddenly, from the computer, "Izuku!" the call finally went threw and Melissa Sheild was on the other side.
"Melissa!"
And like that the two kids were off, talking and catching up with each other. They hadn't seen each other since morning, for Izuku at least.
Though, Nothing Gold can Stay.
(One year later, Izuku is now 5)
Izuku had a normal day. And he was now walking home covered in his own blood. But when he got home, he just felt something was off. As if his dormant animal instincts were warning him of danger, but as he was only a kid, and this was his home, he ignored the uneasy feeling.
That was a mistake. Had he heeded it, not much would've probably changed, by it wouldn't have happened right in front of him.
Izuku opened the door and ran inside, only to realize it was louder than usual. So, being the smart kid he was he tried sneaking around. But he wasn't all that good.
He eventually made his way to the kitchen, where he saw two people. He recognized his mom instantly, as for the other, after a minute he recognized from a picture his mom had, it was his dad. They were arguing about something, but Izuku couldn't hear what, so he got closer.
When he got close enough to hear what they were saying, he noticed that his dad had two of Snipes support items, or what he had yet to learn was a gun. But he could hear the conversation.
"Inko, I'm serious. We can start over in America, just you and me." Hisashi said.
"What about Izuku?" Inko responded.
"Who cares about that worthless piece of shit. In fact, let put the poor bastard out of his misery before we leave."
"THAT'S YOUR SON!" Inko screamed, and rightly so.
"That thing is not my son. No son of mine would be quirkless." Hisashi said, clearly trying to beat Endevore and get Dad of the year.
And it is at this point, that Izuku accidentally makes a sound, and Hisashi hears him.
"Look, here's the little shit stain now, and you know what Inko?" says Hisashi as he picks up the guns, and forces one into Inko's hand. "You're gonna be the one to kill him. That is, if you want him to have a painless death. Because if I have to do it, I'll make it so he dies from blood loss and chard skin."
Inko, not knowing what to do, just stood there in shock.
"Come on Inko~, what are you waiting for~." Hisashi said while lifting her arms to point the barrel of the gun directly at Izuku's head before taking his hands away.
"Mommy," Izuku said, "What's going on?"
After a few minutes of nothing, Hisashi finally ran out of patients. "Alright, Inko. If you haven't killed him by the time I'm done counting, I'll kill him my way. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1."
Right before he finished, Inko finally shoots. Bang!Bang!Bang!Bang!Bang!Bang! And empties the chamber.
"Mommy, What was that?" Izuku asked, now looking at the bleeding body of his father. And Inko realizes what she's done. She killed her husband. Now her son would not only be ostracized for being quirkless, but also for having a villainous mother.
So she quickly thought of a plan. Was it a good plan, no. Was it a solid plan? No. But it was all she had.
"Izuku, honey," Inko started with tears in her eyes, "Go get your things. Your gonna stay at a friend of mommy's for a bit. I won't be able to take you, so I'll write the address down for you. And always remember honey. Mommy will always love you."
Izuku, not knowing what was going on, rushed to pack what he needed. He didn't get any of his All Might merch. He got clothes, his notebook, and the paper that said how to contact Melissa if he ever wanted to while his mom was busy.
When he got back down, he ran into the kitchen to get his mom. But when he got there, he heard another Bang! and saw his mom's body fall to the floor.
Izuku tried to wake her up for a good ten minutes before he noticed the paper with an address and another paper that had a lot of writing.
He got the papers, and with one last look at his parents' corpses, he left. It took him a day to finally find the address, it was the home of a man in a mask. How he knew it was a home? Because he found the owner of the home by accident, the man fell onto piles of garbage while screaming "I Am Here" before beating up a bunch of criminals. So naturally, Izuku asked him for directions, when the man who insisted Izuku call him Knuckle Duster told him that was where he lived.
(Back to present time)
"I'm still in touch with Melissa, and a couple of years later I met Ryu. Knuckleduster helped train my strength, but I made my own fighting style using combs and hockey sticks. I'm better in a fight using hockey sticks, but they're too noticeable, combs are easily concealable, and nobody expects it."
"Well, that explains a few things; but what about people calling you the Delinquent King?" Aizawa asked because Naomasa was trying to reboot himself using coffee, and Aizawa, the logical man that he is, knew someone had to continue to ask questions.
"Oh, that? I don't like the name." Izuku started, "Everyone just started calling me that because I sent so many people to the hospital. Thugs, criminals, villains, bullies, you name it, I've probably sent them to the hospital. "
"What about heroes?"
"One. It was three years ago, I was visiting Melissa and this perverted hero tried to hit on her. She hasn't interested, and the moment I saw him get too grabby and making her uncomfortable, I punched him in the face. Apparently I punched him so hard that I permanently damaged his face. I punched him in the jaw, and the damage went all the way to the check bone. Captin Celebrity came by not long after asked what happened, and when Melissa told him, he said that he'd make sure the hero would be punished and that I wouldn't get in any trouble."
"Alright, I think that's enough. I need to reboot our detective friend here and make a call. We'll let you go since you didn't break any laws. have a good night Midoria." Aizawa said as he led Tsukauchi to the door.
"Ya, bye Eraser."
As Izuku went to an abandoned building, Knuckleduster was there, sitting in a garbage bean bag chair.
"So you get in trouble yet kid?" he asked
"Not yet, old man."
"The offer still stands ya know."
"I'm good, don't want to get in the way of the time you spend with your family, not some freeloading apprentice."
"Come on ya little goon. Your not an apprentice any longer. And you know it."
"Ya ya, whatever."
Meanwhile
Aizawa looked at his phone, looking for the right contact, until he finally found it. After a few rings, the thing on the other side picked up. "Alright, Shota. What do you have for me today." the creature exclaimed in a cheerful voice.
"It's this kid," Aizawa explained, "I think you'll be very interested in him. Nezu.
And that's the chapter.
And now for songs that I almost used to open with
