Title:
Intriguing, original. It stands out and it's interesting at first glance. And it makes perfect sense when reading the blurb and the book itself--making it the perfect fit for the story. Kudos.
Cover:
It's a bit dark for Wattpad standards and I would like the title to be more readable, but that's just me being picky. It's a good cover and fits the story well.
Blurb:
I don't personally care for long blurbs. But I don't see how yours could be shortened without losing vital information. Despite the length, however, it's a very good blurb. In fact, it was based completely on the blurb that I wanted to read your story! Excellent work with that.
The Good:
Absolutely amazing, the whole story. Your plot is full of surprises (even though I had suspicious about certain things *cough*) and your characters are each well-rounded and enjoyable to read. I can definitely tell that you've done your research well (thank heavens someone still does on Wattpad!) and it's easy to immerse myself into the world of the 1920's without difficulty. The mythology aspect of it was also really interesting to read and to see it portrayed in that way. I'm pretty picky when it comes to historical fantasy, but you manage to hook me in each time I read something of yours. Great job!
The Bad:
Nothing major here, just me being nitpicky. There's a couple punctuation mistakes here and there. Nothing serious, at all, but I did notice them.
My only other issue was that I wish you had gone deeper with the book. Show more of the tension of girls showing up dead, like maybe have Vita see some of these bodies on accident or something. I don't know. I just felt like I could have done with more of that. I know it's supposed to be a big deal, but it didn't seem portrayed as a big enough deal as it was made out to be. Just my thoughts.
What the Reader Thought:
I always enjoy reading your work. And you did most certainly NOT disappoint me with the story. You hooked me in so much that I was binge-reading it every chance I got. Absolutely fantastic story and I do hope it gets published some day. I'd love to have a copy of it and the sequels. (Which, by the way, I can't read the updates when you release them!) Your characters were fun to read and the story line was amazing. Completely recommend this to anyone who enjoys historical fiction, YA fantasy, or the combination of both. :D Loved it!
Score: 10/10
