Chapter 19 - Something Wrong (Part 2)

No one's POV

*ring*

The bell signalling the end of school rang throughout the entire campus as students start to run out of their classes in pure exhaustion and slight happiness.

"Finally! Class ended! I thought I was going to faint there." Sunny stretched her hands out the moment she relieved her arms from her heavy subject books after putting them into her locker.

"I know right!" Sooyoung heaved a sigh of exhaustion as she also dumped her books into her locker which is beside Sunny's. The others also dumped their books into their lockers and the eight girls simultaneously slammed their lockers shut, a loud bang resonating throughout the hallway. Many were surprised by the sound.

They walked out of the school gate, saying their goodbyes to one another as they each made their way home.

Taeyeon sluggishly walked in the direction of home as she yawned, not caring the image she's showing in front of other schoolmates. She was just being a normal person. Halfway home she met Baekhyun who was also walking back.

"I thought you'd get the chauffeur to drive you home." Taeyeon teased as she caught up with him.

"I just remembered my doctor told me to walk more to exercise my heart." Baekhyun replied with a hint of annoyance.

"Oh." Was all that came out from her mouth.

They were walking on the road. Hardly any cars pass by except the people who live in this street. Just as they were nearing the gate of their home, a car dangerously swerved left and right and then accelerated, the headlights blinding the both of them.

Right before the car could slam into the both of them, Baekhyun pulled Taeyeon closer to him, moving away. The car missed them only by a few centimetres. Taeyeon was beyond shocked as she stared blankly with her eyes wide open as her head landed on his chest.

"That idiot. I hope he slams into the wall. How dare he drink and drive!?" Baekhyun growled. His voice was so deep that it sent shivers down Taeyeon's back as she listened from his chest.

Deserving it, the car slammed into the wall and smoke escaped from it. A few people came out from their houses to see the commotion and realising it was a drunk driver, they immediately reported him.

"I think y-you can l-let me g-go now." Taeyeon hiccuped.

"O-oh. Sorry. You alright?" Baekhyun asked.

"Yea..." Taeyeon avoided eye contact. "We should get back now. It's getting late." She pivoted and made her way to the gate. Unlocking it, she pushed it and entered, Baekhyun following closely behind.

The door was then opened by the butler who was waiting for their arrival. "Welcome home, Young Master and Young Miss." He greeted with a bow.

"Good evening to you." Taeyeon gave a small smile. Baekhyun just bowed his head.

"You may go and freshen up while the cooks finish preparing your dinner." The two teenagers just walked up the stairs quietly and tiredly into their own rooms. They flopped on their bed, finally feeling some comfort. Then their minds started to wind back to what happened earlier.

"Did I seriously just pulled her into my arms? What was I thinking? I could've just pushed her aside." Baekhyun talked to himself as he sat up.

"Why did he pull me? Why? Why? Why? I mean he could've just pulled me aside but he just had to pull me into his arms." Taeyeon sat up as well as she frowned in deep thoughts.

A butterfly-like feeling coursed through their body as their hearts started beating at a faster pace.

They both placed a hand over their heart, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Unable to take it anymore as they thought they were feeling stuffy in their rooms, they exited at the same time and the moment they saw one another in the eye, their hearts beated even faster.

Unable to control himself under the spell of her beauty, her whole existence, he took long strides towards her and took her lips to his. His hands cupped her face as he kissed her passionately.

This isn't right. It wasn't right.

And what was even wrong,

was when she kissed him back with the same passion.
