Chapter 10 - Little Girl
Taeyeon's POV
Yay.
Here I am, sitting in front of the kingkas, drinking coffee. I swear if anyone from our school sees this 'illegal' meeting, I'm doomed for it. The girls are going to slaughter me. But what can they say? I'm forced to join, being dragged out involuntarily.
"Why am I here..." I sulkily took another sip of coffee.
"How did you like your coffee that was made by me?" Xiumin smirked playfully at me. I just showed an expression of disgust at his actions.
"Fiesty huh?" Kris propped an elbow the table, his chin resting on his palm.
"Quit it." I was getting sick of this and desperately wanted to go home.
"Why are you here anyways? What will the people in our school think? 'Queenka hanging out with the Kingkas' that'll make a perfect headline, won't it?"
"Shut it Kyungsoo." I was losing my cool and my nice side. I covered my face with my palms and sighed.
"Yah you crazy idiot," I called out, referring to Baekhyun, "I'm leaving. This is a stupid thing for me to do." I pushed back my chair and left.
"Great I still don't know this neighbourhood." I decided to just walk around until I can find the school or the mansion.
It was a nice walk, looking at the neighbourhood park full of families together made me smile. It was the type of family I wanted.
Third person POV
Taeyeon was smiling and staring, when a little girl came running and bumping into her, crying.
"Aigoo, why are you crying?" She bent down on her knees, wiping the tears off her cheeks.
"Mom.. Sh-she's n-not b-brea-thing. B-ad g-guys." The little girl hiccuped before she broke down further. Taeyeon was alarmed.
"Okay, calm down. Unnie will find a way." Taeyeon quickly took her phone out of her back pocket, calling the one and only Baekhyun.
"Yah! Why are you calling me? What trouble have you gotten yourself into?" He screamed into the phone and she could hear the rest chuckling. Taeyeon rolled her eyes.
"There's this little girl she came running and she said her mom's not breathing and there are bad guys. I need you to come asap." Taeyeon briefly explained.
"So? That's none of my business."
"C'mon you're the only guy I know and I can't and I'm not going to leave this girl alone." Taeyeon was getting impatient as the little girl held onto her legs for dear life.
"Okay fine. Call the police while I get there with the rest. Where are you?" He surrendered.
"Opposite the neighbourhood park."
"You know where the girl lives?"
"No. Give me a moment." Taeyeon put the phone away from her ear and gently asked the girl the details.
"She lives right down the street near the junction. She said bad guys had intruded their house." Taeyeon spoke into the phone again.
"Okay." And he hung up.
"Nice..." She grumbled.
A few minutes later came Baekhyun and the rest in their own vehicles.
"Hey crazy girl, hop on." Baekhyun called out. Taeyeon picked up the little girl and got in before Baekhyun sped off.
"It's okay, it's gonna be okay." Taeyeon hugged the girl tightly.
When we got there the little girl fearfully led the way to her house and she was right. The door was ajar, the windows wide open, and a lady, presuming it's her mom, was lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
"Oh my gosh." Taeyeon couldn't help but feel the pain the girl went through, seeing how her mother died in the evil hands of the bad guys.
"The police should be arriving soon. Though the bad guys won't necessarily be caught just yet but oh gosh where's the girl going to stay at." Kris who had kindly reported to the police, had his eyes wide open.
"Can I stay with unnie, please? Just for a short while." The girl hugged Taeyeon tightly. Taeyeon felt obliged to do so. "O-okay." She responded, earning a 'What do you mean' glare from Baekhyun. Taeyeon signalled and told him to just leave it. He turned around and sighed.
"Fine. Only for a short while." He emphasised.
