Engagement Ring

Gold N I Jewelry was the only store close to their house. Ratchet walked in and looked around.

"Hello, how can I help you?" A man in uniform asked.

"I'm looking for an engagement ring." Ratchet said

"Alright. I have the perfect ring!" he said, knowing what to get him.

Ratchet followed him to a glass case and pulled out a large engagement ring with a large diamond. And it was expensive also.

"This is perfect!" Ratchet said. Holding the ring. The ring was silver and had diamonds on it as well as the large one sitting in the middle of the ring. The large gem was sparkling when the light hit it just right.

"This is perfect!"

He hid the bag in his car, and Ratchet walked inside the house. Rivet was probably with Dwayne in Hollywood.

Ratchet walked upstairs, grabbed his board, and went outside to practice riding on it.

Rivet came back home, She closed the door and sat on the couch. Ratchet walked upstairs from the basement and saw her head. He walked up to his girlfriend.

"Hey, Riv." he smiled, then sat on the couch with her.

"Hey." she smiled as she kissed her boyfriend. Ratchet put a hand on her stomach, Rivet smiled then she put her prosthetic on his hand.

It's now or never, Ratchet...

"Hey... um. Do you wanna go out tonight?" He asked.

Rivet smiled and placed a hand on his cheek.

"Okay." Ratchet said nothing, except smiled and kissed her hand, Ratchet smiled.

"How's RJ doing?" he asked, Rivet smiled and looked down, Rivet was five months pregnant.

"He's doing fine." She said, kissing her boyfriend on the lips.

"I love you.." they said together. they both smiled

They went to the park. Rivet was walking. It was seven at night.

"It's so pretty at night here..." Rivet said.

"Yeah... just like you." Rivet blushed,

"This is why I love you." Ratchet smiles.

Rivet then frowned. "It's a shame.... Our parents aren't here to see this." Ratchet didn't like to see her upset.

"But... I'm so glad we're here now... Living in Los Angeles is a dream come true—a blessing for us."

Well... it's now or never....

Ratchet kept walking. Then he 'tripped' "Ratchet! Are you okay?" Rivet asked in a panic.

"Yeah... he said as he went up on one knee. He pulled out a box and opened it. "Rivet.... When I saw your beautiful face at Zurkie's that night, you were the prettiest woman I've ever seen in my life... everything is just so beautiful about you. Your eyes... you fur.... Your pretty voice. Rivet, will you please make me the happiest man in the universe, and marry me?"

he finished as he held the box with the six thousand dollar silver engagement ring, Rivet was speechless. She put her hands on her mouth. Her heart was going a million miles a minute; it felt like it was going to jump out of her chest.

Rivet teared up. Her words were; "Yes! yes, Rach, I will marry you!"

Rivet said, hugging him. Then they shared a passionate kiss. Ratchet put the ring on her left finger. And kissed her again. Rivet pulled out her iPhone and they took a selfie from the back camera.

In Ratchet's mind, he was screaming, this has been the perfect day for him, and now he was going to spend the rest of his life with her....
