"Naomi?"

Not again, I thought to myself.

I sighed. "What is it Jordan?"

"Can we leave?"

I turned to him, he was giving me those puppy dog eyes which you can't say no to. But then, I love books more-

"No." I replied flatly.

Jordan sniffed. "But I'm allergic..." he fake-sneezed repeatedly which made me roll my eyes.

"To what?" I asked him.

"Uh, Books. DUH. " he dramatically took a huge step back at the sight of a "Basic Calculus Reviewer."

Jordan shrieked like a little girl and hid behind me.

"THEY HAVE PRE-CALCULUS BACK AT SCHOOL THEN BASIC Calculus HERE? WHAT KIND OF DEMON PUBLISHES THESE FORBIDDEN SCRIPTURES?" he exclaimed.

I picked the fallen textbook then returned it in the shelf, "Apparently, this is a Phoenix edition. They publish efficient learning materials."

"That's not what I wanted to hear."

"C'mon Jordan. When you wanna go to a fair, I always come with you and I don't even complain like the two. So, suck it up, cuz we're not leaving." I scolded him and grabbed a Chemistry reviewer from the shelf.

"People who love these kind of shops are sick. One minute, they go window shopping or buy a reviewer then next thing y'know is their shopping bags will consist of washi tapes, colored pens, vintage novels, music bells, and a unicorn."

Squish. I pinched him.

"Ow! I wasn't even being sarcastic." he rubbed his shoulder, "Hurtful indeed."

Going back to my own business, I knew that this was going to be quite difficult. Choosing a perfect reviewer is never easy. I mean, there are so many to choose from, I rolled up the sleeves of my sweater, determined to find the perfect reviewer.

"Take me home Naomi-" Jordan pleaded.

"Jordan. Read my lips, NO!" I said.

He held his chest as if he was shot by a bullet. People shot us with befuddled glances as they pass by. I face palmed whereas Jordan was keeping his act up by leaning unto the shelves.

"I'm... dying." he croaked out.

I groaned. "Fine! Give me five more minutes and we will get out from here." I said as Jordan recovered from his so called allergies and jumped for joy.

I decided to choose a reviewer that seemed similar from the one that Mr. Ford uses for our class.

It was pretty thick, but totally worth it since this one only cost about ten dollars and ninety-nine cents while others cost more. Jordan yawned out of boredom and followed me to the teen fiction section.

I felt enthusiastic when I held the book Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. I knew I had to save for it since I wanted the one with the first cover where Clay reflected Hannah.

Jordan held a book trying to read what was on the cover luckily the background was white and the black letters were bold. I checked it out and read it, Holding Up The Universe. He returned it back to it's place.

"You wanna read that?" I asked and he turned to me.

"Nah," Jordan waved it off. "Seems boring. It has that crazy vibrant vibe. Seriously, I just can't stand those kind of covers." he shrugged.

"Can we go now?"

"Five minutes is not yet up." I said waving a finger.

"Naomi? Jordan? What are you doing here?" I heard a voice which was Declan's. He was coming towards us.

"Hey, we were just looking around and-" I took out the chemistry reviewer and showed him, "-I'm going to buy this book."

"Whoa..." Declan seemed astounded.

"Wait, what the hell are you doin here Hulk? Aren't you supposed to be in the gym? Where all muscle brains have series of grunting sessions?" Asked Jordan.

Declan glared at him but still answered his question, "Well, Bennett is going to buy a new series of cook books. So, we went here and he's searching for some."

"Well, sadly the new issue is not even out yet." Suddenly, out of the blue, Bennett came out of nowhere.

"You scared the hell out of me!" I said in a midst of shock and astonishment. "You could have killed me Bent!" my heart was pounding faster than usual.

"Bent, please stop doing that." Jordan said.

"Doing what?" Bennett raised an eyebrow and asked in a monotoned voice.

"Scaring us out of nowhere!" Declan exclaimed.

Jordan's stomach growled.

Bennett stared at him as Declan and I were snorting trying to hold back from laughing.

"You can't blame me. We've been here for hours-"

"Forty-five minutes to be exact."

Declan raised an eyebrow. "Then you've been here for less than an hour." He crossed his arms.

"Let's get out of here before Jordan dies out of boredom and hunger." I joked.

"Thank you. I'm glad that someone acknowledges my needs."

"Let's eat at the nearby burger shop... it's my treat." said Bennett.

"Okay, let's go! Follow me children! Vamunos!" Jordan pointed to the exit.

"Hey, check this out!" Declan said as Jordan whined cause he really wanted to leave.

We all stopped as Jordan just went to us.

"What now?" Jordan asked. He forcefully dragged himself to us, the guy couldn't refrain himself from complaining.

We were at the classics selection.

At first, Jordan seemed annoyed; then his lips soon curved into a smile when he saw the book in my hands.

The Three Musketeers.

:)

A/N: I really needed to edit this book since everything were just so wrong during it's first months.

At least, I was able to fix the wrong punctuation, grammar, and other stuff.

I hope you like this one shot.
