Chapter Nineteen: This is Jennett, Beclan, and Dordan

"Do these jeans make my butt look fat?"

"No."

"Does this shirt match my eyes?"

"No."

"If I killed you, will you hold it against me?"

"No."

"Are you even listening to me?"

"No."

"Naomi..."

I threw my hands up in exasperation. "Well what do you expect? Me to listen you ramble on and on about you trying on different clothes?"

"Yes, Naomi," Jordan said, crossing his arms. "Yes I am."

Right after we got kicked out of the theater because of our popcorn war, all four of us decided to head over to the mall. The mall isn't just any other mall. It's the mall. There are many malls around the city, some small, some big, some local, some good shops and so on. But the mall, which is the West Central Mall, is the main mall that everyone goes to. It's the biggest, most popular mall in the city. With the best shops, best food, and best customer service. Whether they want to buy the perfect gift, upgrade their wardrobe, or just hang out and eat at the food court. Everyone goes there. Kids meet up there, buy new clothes there, loiter there, shoplift there, everything. Usually when they are satisfied bullying me for one day, they would head over to the mall or just altogether skip the bullying because they want to buy something on sale. So sometimes the mall is my hero.

Of course, I don't have a death wish. I never went there myself. And if I ever go shopping with my parents, we usually go to the more smaller and local malls. And even if they went there, I never join them and usually stay at home. Why throw all my hard work of hiding the fact I get bullied from my parents just walking into the mall where a whole army of kids from my school are waiting for me? Besides, I don't have any reason to go to the mall, there are other malls and shops all over the city. Though, I looked up the mall's official website and saw the many restaurants there in the food court or the different shops there (besides clothes). And even if I wanted to go there, I can't and I won't. I like living thank you very much.

But that changes now that I have the guys. Bennett had parked the car in the mall's parking lot, getting a parking lot ticket that will keep track of our stay in the mall. If we exceed the limit of two hours, we have to pay for it. Not that pay for it- cracking knuckles and getting ready for a beating -I mean a few dollars lesser when you pay for it. The parking lot was huge, of about five levels, maybe even more. The only thing I get worried about huge parking lots is forgetting where you parked the car. But the worry was forgotten with another.

How am I going to survive this shopping?

Usually, when I shop with my parents or by myself (in small shops that's not popular but has good taste) I usually buy what I want and leave. Most people, mostly girls I'm afraid, take hours just trying on clothes. They pick a bunch of clothes that are cute, expensive, or both. And practically the whole time they're in the mall, they spend their time in the fitting room trying it all on, most likely never going to buy it. It's a waste of time, trying all of those clothes when you can just try them at home. If you like something just buy it and go, move on to the next shop. But it's useless trying to tell Jordan this.

"I don't know what to choose," Jordan mused to himself before turning to me. "Should I get the red shirt or the blue shirt?"

I looked up and saw Jordan holding two identical shirts in front of me. The only difference was one was red and the other was blue.

"I don't know, they both look the same."

Jordan gasped. "They do not. Look at the design of the red shirt compared to the blue shirt. See the difference?"

I squinted at the two shirts for a second and shook my head. "Nope."

He rolled his eyes. "Women."

I rolled my eyes. "Men."

"Well the red shirt and a stripe going vertical, and the blue shirt has a strip going horizontal." Jordan informed me.

"Wow," I said, not impressed with a bored look on my face. "I can't believe I missed something like that."

"Can't blame you," a voice piped in. "Jordan was always the one with good fashion taste."

"Why thank you Declan," Jordan said.

"That's not a good thing," Delcan and I said in unison.

"You're losing your manhood as we speak." Declan said, but then he paused, thinking something for a moment and snorted. "What am I talking about? He doesn't have one."

"Hey!"

"Is he done yet?" Bennett asked, walking back to us.

"Bennett darling," Jordan said, mimicking a gay lisp. "Would you be a dear and help a brother out? What do you think would look fabulous on moi? The red shirt or the blue?"

Bennett took one long look at Jordan. Then he turned on his heel and walked away. Declan and I looked at each other, snorted and followed right behind him. I glanced back at Jordan who stood there for a second, feeling torn at staying to argue over which shirt to buy or chase after his friends. Then he sighed and ran after us, tossing the shirts over his shoulder, having it land on the table.

We quickly left the men's section store, which I never wanted to be in the first place. Jordan just ran into the store as soon as we arrived the the mall, and I was forced to follow him with the others. You don't know how awkward it was being the only girl in the men's section. I wanted to crawl into a hole and die, which I used to want to do a lot.

"I think the blue shirt would have looked good on me," Jordan muttered.

"Yeah, you think it would look good on you," Declan said, "but it won't."

"Naomi," Jordan whined. "Declan's being mean to me."

"I'm always mean to you," Declan corrected him, not really helping himself.

"Boys, be nice to each other," I scolded.

"Yes Naomi," they said in unison like kindergartners being cute.

I rolled my eyes, not being able to hold back my smile. But that smile vanished without a trace when I saw the last thing I wanted to see. It was them, the last people I wanted to see right now. No, it wasn't my parents. It wasn't Raymond and his goons. It was something way more worse.

I halted to the stop, making the guys pause from walking. They all stared at me with curious gazes. I know what I must have looked like. Scared out of my mind, frozen in fear, looking like I might wet myself. And all of that is true. Jordan opened his mouth to ask what's wrong when I cut him off.

I quickly grabbed their sleeves, making them yelp in surprise, and started walking away as fast as I can. I was practically dragging the guys as they struggled under my strong grip. They were all asking me what was going on. Suddenly I was forced to a stop when they finally noticed me.

"OMG," someone exclaimed. "Is that Naomi?"

I slowly gulped, beads of sweat rolled down my head. Please don't notice me, don't notice me like you always do in school. Ignore me, treat me like I'm invisible, pretend I don't exist. Just don't-

"Oh Naomi!" Someone sang out. "Naomi! Is that really you? It's us!"

I slowly turned around, seeing the three of them walk towards the four of us.

Jordan whispered, "Who are they?"

"Charlie's Angels." I replied.

"Like the movie?" Declan asked.

I shook my head. "No, worse."

It was them, Charlie's Angels also known as the Fearsome Threesome. They were the three popularest, meanest girls in my school. It was a bit the irony of their title given they may look like angels, but certainly don't act like it, and can't even give a punch without crying over a chipped nail. They're like those typical mean girls in those cliche books or movies. That one group of girls everyone envies but hates. And it was typical enough there were three of them in my school. One by one, I gave the guys the short background on them.

"First off, Abby Baker."

She's the leader of the three of them. With her long strawberry blonde hair that hung right over her waist in waves of curls. She has big baby blue eyes that's looks more bolder with the amount of mascara she's wearing, which is just as much make-up she's wears. She's the tallest of the three, but only because of her too high high heels, having her tower everyone else.

"Then there's Hannah Pearson."

Hannah's the second prettiest girl in school, meaning second most popular and Abby's best friend, besides Candice. She has an exotic look, wearing designer clothes that always go great with her dark skin tone. Her dark brown eyes always melt the guys, and then she snatches them into her trap. Every guy wants her as much as they want Abby, but maybe it's because of her brilliant smile that always get them compared to Abby's attitude. That and maybe it's the fact she's the head cheerleader of the school.

"And last, Candice Kim."

She's the third most popular and prettiest girl in school. With light brown eyes that is nothing compared to her long, black hair and yellow highlights. She wears her clothes two sizes too small, but double the make-up she needs. She's always on the phone, whether texting or updating her status, her phone is always on her hand, never in her pocket. She's a huge gossiper, she knows everything, from the person's last hook up to people's darkest secrets. I think she's only friends with Abby because she has some dirt on her that she could use to blackmail on Abby any time she wants. But that's nothing compared to the constant flirting she has with every guy in her sights.

And all three of them were here. In the mall. Walking right towards us.

These three may not sound much to you. They are after all, the common group of mean girls in many movies and books. Those girls that look like models, practically are models. The girls with so much popularity, if they do so much as wave at you, you're instantly popular, not that they will ever do that. And they're the girls that everyone either loves or hates. Either by wishing you can be friends with them or they're the ones who insult you on a daily basis. I'm more of a both kind of person.

I know that I shouldn't say such a thing. Even if they insult me every other week. Calling me insults, some that I brush off easily, others I take pretty hard. I can't help but envy them a bit, like many other girls in the school. They have the looks, the charm, the popularity, they have everything. So even if I do hate them, like every other girl in school, I can't help but wish I want to be them, like every other girl in school.

Honestly, they're nothing compared to the bullying I get from Raymond and his goons. Usually it's like they're a tag team actually. They're the ones softening me up the day. Calling me names, making jokes, the usual verbal abuse. Then Raymond and his underlings finish the job, making the final punch for the knockout, the physical bullying. They're hands down the best villain tag team there is. I can only wish that the superheroes that are suppose to save the day get here soon.

It wasn't soon until they arrived, after walking their cat walk. You know, one high heel in front of the other, hips swaying, chest pumped out, hair whipped. They had shopping bags of practically every store in the mall in each of their hands, as if they were on a shopping spree. The guys, helpful as they can be, inched backwards a bit, all of them were behind me as if I was their shield. Thanks, you guys, I know I can always go to you for help. The three, the Fearsome Threesome, stood in front of me, posing as if it'll be on the cover of Vogue magazine. I was a bit scared for my life, actually being intimidated by their presence, I was both embarrassed at this and mad.

"Hey Naomi," Hannah said, talking to me like we're old friends. "How are you doing?"

I blinked, a bit startled for a moment. I was expecting, oh you know, the usually verbal abuse, some nicknames, some insults, the usual. What I wasn't expecting was this.

"I-I'm doing, um, good," I choked out, staring down at my shoes.

"I didn't know you go to this mall," Candice said, giving me a once over, not looking what she looked once. "Never saw you around here, I guess."

"Y-yeah, I was, you know, this is the er, first time I seen- I mean, I already seen this place, I mean went here before." I stammered, then completely shut up, I don't trust my mouth anymore.

"And who's your friends over here?" Abby asked as she chewed her gum, staring at the guys one by one, her eyes gleaming.

"This is Jennett, Beclan, and Dordan." I forced out before making a nervous laugh.

Bennett awkwardly cleared his throat. "Actually, I'm Bennett, and these are my friends, Declan and Jordan."

"Well you must know us already," Abby said like it was obvious, then blowing a bubble before popping it.

"Actually," Jordan corrected. "We don't. We never heard of you ever in our lives."

Abby blinked. "Oh." She brushed the fact aside and introduce herself. "Well I'm Abby, short for Abigail."

"Since when?" Candice whispered, as her eyes stayed glued to her phone as she texted someone.

"Since now!" Abby retorted, shooting her a glare before looking back at the guys with all smiles.

"Anyway, I'm Hannah, nice to meet you." She said, giving her million dollar smile.

"And I'm Candice," She finished, looking up from her phone long enough to bat her eyes with a shy smile. "But you can called me Candy, everyone calls me that."

Abby snorted. "Since when?"

"Since now," Candice retorted back, giving her a smirk.

Abby let the retort slide and asked brightly, "So what are you guys doing here?"

I answered this. "Well we're-"

"I'm sorry Naomi, but I was actually asking Bennett." Abby said, pouting a bit.

My face fell. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"So Bennett," Abby said, inching towards Bennett who was inching back. "What brings you to the mall?"

"We were going to grab something to eat," Bennett stated, with his usual calm demeanor.

"Wow!" Hannah said. "What a coincidence! We were just about to eat something too!"

"We were?" Candice asked. "I thought we were going to shop-"

"Zip it Candice." Hannah growled then smiled again, covering it up.

Jordan smiled. "Well that's nice. Anyway, we're going to head over to the food court so-"

"The food court?" All three girls asked in unison.

"Yeah," Jordan said awkwardly. "What other food court will I be talking about?"

Abby laughed, which I think I heard Jordan mutter to Declan about it sounding like a hyena, but I ignored it. "You're so cute, thinking your could actually eat there."

"And why can't we," Declan asked, his arms crossed.

"Well it's because it's a food court silly," Hannah said with a duh look, then placing her hand on Declan's shoulder. "Why go there when we go to a way better restaurant?"

Declan looked at Hannah's hand for a long time. Then he slowly lifted it off his shoulder and gave it back to her.

"And why go to a better restaurant when the food court is right there?" Jordan argued, pointing at the food court which is right next to us.

Candice twirled her hair and looked at Jordan. "You're so right Jordan. But wouldn't it be way more worth eating in an actually restaurant like a first date than some greasy pizza for a meet and greet?"

"But I like greasy pizza," Jordan muttered to himself.

"How about we eat somewhere else than?" I offered.

"That is such a great idea Naomi," Abby said, her compliment making me smile ear to ear.

"You sure Naomi?" Declan asked me unsurely. "I remember you saying how good the food court is here and how much you wanted to try-" He was cut off when I stomped  on his foot, making him wince.

"So are we going to go to head over to some restaurant?" Hannah said hopefully.

Jordan frowned. "Since when did we ever agree to-?"

I elbowed him in the stomach, covering it up with a smile. "Yeah, I heard there's this new cafe a few blocks from here, maybe we could give it a try."

"That's fabulous!" Abby exclaimed. "Let's go!"

She snapped her fingers and walked towards the elevators, Hannah and Candice followed right behind her. I was about to follow them as well when I looked back at the guys.

"That's fabulous!" Jordan exclaimed, mimicking Abby with batting eyes and a high voice, then he started snapping his fingers.

Declan rolled his eyes. "You said fabulous just a few minutes ago."

"Well that's because it was different. I was being funny, not serious unlike her." Then he started snapping his fingers in front of Declan just to annoy him.

"Guys, c'mon," I said. "I don't want to keep them waiting."

Bennett raised an eyebrow. "You actually want to go with them?"

"Yeah, let's just ditch them and head to the food court for some greasy pizza," Jordan made air quotations at that and snorted.

"We can't just ditch them," I argued. "They're the most popular girls in school, do you know how bad we'll look-"

"Since when did you care how you looked? Since when did you cared about popularity?" Declan said, frowning at me.

"I don't," I retorted. "It's just... It's just this is the first chance I have to actually have friends..."

"But we're you're friends," Jordan said quietly.

"No, I don't mean it like that," I said. "I mean popular-" I caught myself, seeing their surprised looks "-I mean they're girls. I've never had friends, much less friends that are girls. I just want..." I trailed off, looking away.

The boys shared a look with each other, all three of them wearing the same unsure look. Then Bennett sighed and gave in.

"Okay Naomi, we'll go eat with them. But only this one time, I don't like these types of girls who-"

I cut him off by giving him a huge hug, making him stagger backwards in surprise. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaimed. His eyes widened at this, not really knowing how to respond to this. He awkwardly gave me a pat at the back, and looked relieved when I let go.

"You guys won't regret this, I promise." I gave them a huge grin and ran after the girls who were waiting impatiently for us.

But not before I heard Bennett muttering, "I have a bad feeling about this."

This chapter is dedicated to XAnonymousWriterXx. She recommended this story in one of her books, my first book recommendation. When I saw it, it instantly made my day. I can't thank you enough, and I'm glad you enjoyed the book so far. I hope you continue enjoying the book and enjoyed the chapter.

School has officially ended and summer has officially started. I'm going to miss all my friends so much. If I could exchange one maybe two months of my summer just to see them for those one or two months again, I'll do it. But I can't let the pass hold me back. I'll be starting high school, a new adventure, new people to meet, new friends to make, new enemies to make, new crushes to have.

Also remember that essay I had to take a break writing the book for a bit? I just found out I won first place to it! It was so worth taking a break form writing so I can work hard on that essay. I'm $50 richer and the book is 55,000 richer in reads! Thank you all for your support and I hope you will continue reading my book. I started this book with a small an idea and a big imagination. I could never dream that I would go this far with this book, so thank you so much.

And if you all notice, I just double chaptered you. If you never heard of the term (probably because I came up with it a few minutes ago) it means I posted not one, not three, but two chapters at the same time. So stop reading this and continue on to the next chapter! I hope you all enjoyed this one as much as you will in the next one!
