What the hell did she mean dress shopping and why?

T- Excuse me?
S- We have to go dress shopping for prom.
T- Here's the thing we all except Hayley and Esme don't have dates. Well Brittney has Liam.
HA- And I just got here, why am I being forced to go?
S- Because you're already part of the group.
HA- Aw thanks for making me feel included into something I don't want to do
S- It'll be fun.
HA- Fine. But I'm going to get a dress as black as my soul.
S- Ok...
B- I seriously don't understand why you're making this a big deal.
S- It's in two days.
B- Yeah and I can get the dress tomorrow.
S- No. We're going today.
T- I don't have a date. So what's the point exactly?
S- I don't have a date either.
T- Yeah but you have Freddy and the dance to deal with. I have nothing.
HA- I'll hang with you at the dance. I don't have a date either.
T- Ugh fine.
S- Yay. Ok let's go.
H- To my car.
All except H- To the death machine.

We walk out the school and to Hayley's car. We get to the mall and split up. I was with Hannah.

T- I know this is going to be a weird question but what is your perception on Zack?
HA- Asshole. Weirdo. Gentlemen. Fun. Confusing. Stupid. Intelligent. Crazy. Athletic.
T- What?
HA- Zack is Zack. One of a kind. He is an asshole but also a gentleman. He's confusing. He's stupid when he wants to be. He's crazy when he wants to be. He's just Zack.
T- Is that a good thing?
HA- Do you want it to be?
T- Maybe...
HA- Let's talk about you for a minute. Instead of Zack.
T- Ok.
HA- You're skateboarder crazy girl with a fun personality and is tough but not at the same time. You're rational with most situations. And you don't really think about love.
T- How do you-
HA- I'm not stupid Tomika. You can't be read like a open book but I can open books.
T- Ok.
HA- Why don't you ever worry or think of your love life?
T- Because I don't have one.
HA- Everyone has a love life maybe it's just not as advanced as others.
T- Ok fine. I just don't like to acknowledge any of that really.
HA- Why?
T- No reason really. It's just I don't want to be that girl that surrounds her life around a love life. The girl that acts like if they don't have someone to love them they're worthless.
HA- So you've went to the point that you never think about it at all?
T- Of course I think about it. Just not openly.
HA- Ok. So who do you have a interest for?
T- It's a girl.
HA- Wait seriously?
T- Yeah.
HA- What does she look like?
T- Brown hair. Brown eyes. Short.
HA- Just tell me who.
T- Me.
HA- Be serious. I know you have a interest for someone Tomika. Even if you don't want to admit it.
T- I don't. Can we just drop this?
HA- No. I'm just going to start listing names.
T- Whatever.
HA- Sexuality?
T- Hetero.
HA- Ok. Tyler?
T- Ew. No.
HA- Spencer?
T- What is wrong with you?
HA- Dylan?
T- No. Just. No.
HA- Liam?
T- He's gay.
HA- Hunter?
T- No. There's nothing wrong with him. He's just more like a brother to me.
HA- Jared?
T- I had a fake crush on him but I could never imagine dating or being in live with him. It was a fake little kid crush.
HA- Freddy?
T- Ha. No. Fuck him.
HA- Zack?
T- *Stutters* No.
HA- Ok. Zack?
T- Why do you keep saying Zack? I don't like him.
HA- Lying makes you go to hell.
T- I'm not lying.
HA- I know you like Zack, Tomika. You just won't admit it.
T- I don't like Zack. He's fucked with me too many times before.
HA- That doesn't mean you can't like him.
T- I don't like that arrogant bastard.
HA- What if he likes you?
T- What if he does? It won't change my mind. I'm not Summer. I won't let it change me completely
HA- You know what? I'm not going to argue with a stubborn arrogant person.

She walks away and I stand there in disbelief. What just happened? And why is she mad at me now? Great, I just lost my shopping partner to who the hell knows where?

I get my dress and call a Uber. I don't feel like meeting up with the rest of them. I get inside and go straight to my room. No one was home, that I know of. I flop down onto my bed.

Why did I stutter when she asked me about Zack? I don't like him. He's always been a Asshole to me. Why should I like him? I mean he's not bad looking I guess. And he has gotten nicer.

I've seen the better side to him. Where he's kind and generous and somewhat gentle. I know I could go to him if the girls are in their own worlds and I can't find Jared or Liam. And by hanging out with him, I notice he acts kinda weird and shifts in his seat when I bring up that Sum was trying to sign me up for blind dates. Do not ask.

But that's probably nothing. And I guess he really isn't bad looking? I mean he's really everything I wanted in someone. For some reason I like people with Dark hair and Dark eyes. Blue eyes and blondish hair isn't really attractive with me. No offense to Summer or Brittney. I mean in dating.

I don't really have a clue what happened that time where I woke up in his bed. All I know is that he held me like some teddy bear I guess. Seriously, how did I end up there?

Hannah was right. Zack is Zack. And that's a good thing. I wouldn't have it really any other way. Well except for the time he threw a book at me. And all that junk. I don't like Zack. I just accept him for who he is. That sounded weird.

Hannah's Pov

After I left Tomika, I got my dress and went to coldstone. I took a taxi. I want her to admit she likes Zack. She does. She just won't admit it. They both are totally oblivious for their feelings towards one another.
But they both are oblivious to many things. So what should we expect.

I get to the house but go straight to the basement to see all the boys.

HA- Hola amigos.
L- Why are you here?
HA- That's really disrespectful.
L- Answer the question.
HA- Well it was either you guys or the rest of the school. I have better access to you.
J- What are you talking about?
HA- You'll find out later.
J- Hannah...
HA- Do you either want to listen to me or have broken bones? Make up your choice.
J- Listen to you.
HA- Great choice. Can you convince Sum to change the theme of the dance?
J- The theme right now is the future. We've been working on this for weeks.
HA- I could care less. Change it to purple sunsets.
J- Who is going to do all that work?
HA- I have people in high places. All you need to worry about is getting her to change her mind.
J- Ok fine.
HA- And all you guys need to have purple, blue, or pink ties. All of you.
Z- Why should we listen to you?
HA- Do you want to be forever happy or not?
F- Yes.
HA- Then shut the fuck up and listen to me. When you get your suits give them to me. Not the tie. Just the Jacket.
L- Am I included in this?
HA- Yes. You all are. I'll text you all the color tie you need later. See ya. Wait, I wanna talk to Zackerito.
Z- Why exactly?
HA- Family matters and Brittney isn't here.
Z- Okay Fine.

I grab his wrist and pull him out the basement and to the kitchen. I make him sit down and tie him up.

Z- What the hell is this?
HA- Do you like Tomika?
Z- I mean yeah, she's my friend sorta.
HA- No I mean, Do you like her in more than a friend way?
Z- No. Why?
HA- Then why did you walk away earlier, when Sum brought up finding dates for Tomika and Britt?
Z- Because their was no point for me to be there?
HA- I know you're lying Zack.
Z- No I'm not. Now untie me.
HA- Why won't you admit that you like her?
Z- *mumbles* Cause she hates me.
HA- I can't hear you.
Z- CAUSE SHE HATES ME.
HA- No she doesn't.
Z- Yes she does.
HA- Why would she hate you?
Z- Because she always has. Now untie me.

I finally untie him. He gets up and runs upstairs. Maybe there is a thing as too far. Oops.
