The Golden Quill Academy:The Andrew Files
ChapterOne
Andrew stared at the building in front of him. He got a letter saying he was invited to attend this weird school called "The Golden Quill Academy." It was right before he went on tour with his pop band, UTurn. He remembered the day he got that letter.

FLASHBACK-June 2006
Dear Andrew Hawthorne,
You have been selected to attend The Golden Quill Academy. Based on your grades and your growing international presence, we feel you would be a great addition to this campus.
If you feel there might be a conflict of interests, please report to us on the first of September, 2006. Please bring this letter so you may be allowed into the school.
The Dean.

FLASHFOWARD-September 1, 2006.
Andrew stared at the letter in his hands. Why would he get this letter? He was already attending Beacon Hill Secondary. He was already in great standing with his grades, though his behavior in the hallways weren't that great.
He needed to make accommodations. He already had three music videos, four months of recording sessions, and numerous gigs in North America and Europe under his belt.
So he decided to show up to the school. It is in his contract to finish high school on time, so he might as well, right?
He entered the halls, and was immediately hit with the weirdness of it all. Most people looked normal, but a few seem strange-looking. It was like they came from other planets!
He also noticed weird things in other people's hands. They looked like phones, but he couldn't tell. Did I just step into the future?
As he looked for the dean's office, he bumped into a girl. He needed to act cool. What if she was a fangirl? Then again, is UTurn considered as an iconic group in the future? He would hope so.
So he ran his hand through his raven black hair, and said arrogantly, "The name is Andrew Hawthorne. I'm pretty sure you know my name. You've probably seen me on YouTube!"
The girl looked at him, as if he was full of himself. She said warily, "I've heard of you. I'm Cora."
Andrew smirked, though he was hiding his fears behind it. He walked away. Maybe I should try to make a friend here.
He noticed a guy with long silvery hair. He could be pretty, but he wasn't into guys with weird hair. No, he preferred guys with hair as short as his, in the style of Zac Efron but messier. Yet with girls, he loved to play with their long hair. I miss my Aly.
As he walked up to the dean's office, he saw a woman who seemed a bit older than him. It seemed she worked here.
"I'm here to see the dean," he said. He added with an air of arrogance, "I'm Andrew Hawthorne. I have a busy schedule, so I need accommodations."
The woman replied, seemingly annoyed with him, "I'm Sapphire. He's in his office. I'd drop the attitude if I were you."
Andrew rolled his eyes, already over this new world he's in. He opened the door, walked towards the dean. He sat down, hoping he'll get that man's attention.
The dean turned around, and said, "Mr. Hawthorne, I'm already getting complaints about your behavior."
Andrew sighed, "I'm sorry, sir. This whole thing is unexpected. I'll do my part, but please understand that I have my job as a member of UTurn. I have to leave this campus from time to time."
"I understand. We can send you a tutor upon your request, but you must stay here for a month. Understand?"
Andrew sighed, "Yes, sir."
"Have you packed your belongings?"
"I did, but not everything. I'll call my assistants to send them to me."
The dean nodded his head, and added, "And please, be nice to the other students. I'm aware of your bullying past. We do not tolerate that here at The Golden Quill Academy."
Andrew felt his face flush with embarrassment. He knew there were videos of him being a bully that threaten empty lawsuits circulating all over YouTube. He'll need to play nice, though he couldn't help but feel the need to hide his fear.
"Your major is Young Adult and New Adult Drama," the dean told him as he gave him a key and a paper. "You are dismissed."
Andrew scrunched his eyebrows, confused by it all. He was a high school student, not a college guy. He saw his department, "Hummingbird"; and his residence, "Delta."
Andrew sighed as he slumped in the chair. He felt like he was dropped into some futuristic version of Harry Potter. He could feel he was in for a very long month. New year, new me, I guess.
