Dad: Do you think this is a game? You scared the hell out of me. You are not a kid anymore.

He opened the door and invited the stranger. I was utterly shocked, both by his words and his gesture. I ran into my room and locked my door.

I could hear a heated conversation outside. But I didn't bother about it. {Maybe, that stranger was telling the truth. Maybe, he was not a stranger. Maybe, I knew him before the accident.} My head was bursting.

Mom: Radha! Open the door! We want to tell you something important.

I didn't open the door. I was confused.

Dad: Radha! I am sorry! I didn't understand your situation then. Krishna explained us everything. Forgive me and open the door.

I slowly opened the door. My mom gave me a hug. She must have been crying. I found tear stains on her cheek. I looked around. That stranger was nowhere to be found. I sighed. My father patted my head.

Dad: I am sorry dear! I thought it was one of your pranks. I feared if he would feel offended. After all; he is the one to marry you. It is not a good idea to anger him! But you are very lucky. He understands you, better than anyone. He will take good care of you.

My father's words took ages to enter my head. I was never this confused; in my whole life. I was clueless. I felt like this is not my life. I felt like I was a guest to my own life. I dozed off in my mother's arms.
