That afternoon, I got a text message from him. I read it carefully and packed all the things he needed; like his stationary, scientific calculator, his project sheets etc. After packing all that, I sneaked into the kitchen. I found ma doing something there. I slowly approached her.

Ma: Good that you are here. I have to tell you something important.

Me: What?

Ma: Revati wants to go to her parents'.

Me: Hmm...

Didi: Hey Radha!

Me: Didi I am happy. At last you decided to take a break. In this one year you never left this house. But why so suddenly?

She blushed. Ma smirked. I felt something fishy.

Me: Are you people hiding something from me?

Didi: We are not hiding. We just are finding it difficult to express ...

She was fiddling with her fingers. Ma placed a piece of laddu in my mouth. I understood.

Me: Really?

She nodded and blushed.

Me: When?

Didi: I went to hospital in the morning after breakfast since I felt uneasy. They confirmed it then.

Me: WOOOOOOW!

I started jumping around in excitement and found Bhai was standing near the door, grinning widely.

Me: Bhai! Bhai ...

I could not speak due to excitement.

Bhai: Actually it is really difficult for us.

His face became grim suddenly. I feared something big coming up. There was pin drop silence. Pa also joined us meanwhile.

Bhai: The problem is, first there was a naughty kid. Then one more joined him. It is already difficult to handle these two kids. So one more will make our house a jungle ... I suppose ...

Everyone started laughing out loud. I did not understand.

Ma: Why are you teasing my little baby?

Everyone laughed. He pouted. Didi was laughing too, but deep inside, I could see uneasiness in her. I immediately left his ear.

Me: For the sake of didi; I will leave her husband unharmed.

I winked at her. The uneasiness inside her was wiped off. {How much they loved each other! They could make fun of each other but no one else had that right.}

Me: Thank you! My wish for an elder brother has been fulfilled today. All because of you.

Bhai: Don't say that. We are a family. 'Thank you & Sorry' should not enter our family.......
I wish Krishna was here too.

Everyone became silent.

Didi: If you are done with this family thing; I want to see my family too.

The seriousness had been lifted. Didi is an expert in lightening up any heavy emotional situations. {I love her for that. She made the family complete with her enthusiasm and excitement.}

Ma: Radha! Come on. Pack your bag.

Me: Why? Where?

Ma: We will stay at didi's parents' house for a few days. They have been insisting. You have holiday right, so we thought it would be a kind of break for you too ... to spend some time with them.

Didi: Yeah! It has been ages since we have all met.

Me: Umm ... sorry ... I have lots assignments to complete.

{Actually I can't leave him.}

Didi: You can do it there.

Me: Sorry, I need to visit college in between. You know ... I need some books from college library ... please!

Ma: Okay! Your wish. But then why don't you go to your parent's home? They have been asking if you had forgotten them. You can't stay here alone!

They left within an hour after giving me half an hour lecture about being safe and instructions to follow. I agreed to everything like a good girl.
