The same author actually also wanted a cover for a story about a legion without wings. Again this was done through Shut Up and Write, but I made the thing so it's going in my portfolio.

So for this cover I decided to go for photo manipulation and used grunge brushes and ink splatter to really give a gritty theme. I feel like paranormal mysteries are best depicted in darker themes.

This was also super fun to make once I got around finding an image that I actually liked. I'm pretty sure that's the hardest part of photo manipulation.
