Steve's POV
I dropped down to my knees as I kept staring at the spot Nina disappeared. "That should have been me." Tony said softly. "THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME GOD DAMN IT." He yelled as he kicked rocks. "Strange... did you know about this?" Tony asked and Strange sighed. "Yes I did. She made me promise not to tell you guys. She was the one seeing this solution not me." He said softly and Tony ran towards him with anger in his eyes. "Tony stop." I said as I looked at him. "She made that choice not Strange. She probably had her reasons for it." I said as I got up. "Let's go." Bucky said as he put his hand on my shoulder, I slowly got up and looked at Bucky. "She was pregnant." I said softly and Bucky nodded. "I know." He said softly as he tried to pull me with him. "I can't." I said as I stayed on my knees. "I need some time." I said and looked Bucky. "Then I'll stay with you." He said and sat down next to me. Everybody looked at us before they sat down with us. "Thanks guys." I said as I looked back to where Nina disappeared. "I need to know what happened. Did she just get erased from existence? Is she alive? If she is will she come back? I need answers." I said softly. "I need her." I said as I looked down at my hands. "Oh for your information." I said as I looked at everybody that got brought back. "Nina was no longer Nina Stark." I said and Bucky and Peter looked up. "You got married?" They asked and I nodded. "Congratulations." They said happily, I weakly smiled and sighed. "Now she's gone and I don't know what to do." I said softly as a tear rolled down my face. "Somehow my feeling tells me she'll be back." Bucky said and I nodded. "I hope so." I said as we all got up and walked through the portal. I looked back one more time and sighed. "I love you Nina." I said softly before the portal closed. We all went to the compound and I stopped in front of it. "I'm gonna head home. I need some time for myself." I said and climbed on my motorbike. I drove off and before I knew it I arrived at home. I looked at all the pictures around the house of Nina and smiled a little. She always looked so happy. I walked to our bedroom and stayed in the doorway, I looked at the bed and sighed as I closed the door. I went back downstairs and sat down in the living room as I turned the tv on. Everywhere on the news was the story of everybody coming back. I turned it off as I felt anger taking over. I went down to the basement that we turned into a training area and just hit all my anger out. Anger of not being able to stop Nina. Anger of that it was necessary that one of us used the gauntlet. Just anger of everything. I started to hit harder and harder until my anger turned into sadness, I dropped down to my knees and started sobbing uncontrollably as I heard someone come down the stairs. "Go away." I said and I heard a sigh. "Not gonna happen Cap." Tony said and I turned around. "We'll be needing each other." He said as all the other Avengers came down. They smiled at me with tears in their eyes. "We'll get through this together." Wanda said as they all walked over to me, kneeled down and hugged me tightly. "You're not alone Steve." Bucky said and I nodded. "I know." I said as I got up. "Movie night?" I asked and they chuckled. "Yeah let's go." Peter said and we all walked to the living room. "Okay you guys get everything ready? I'll go take a shower real quick." I said as I ran the up the upstairs. I quickly showered and went back down. "I hope you don't mind but I put Nina's favorite movie on." Peter said and I smiled. "No I like that." I said as I sat down and we watched Fast and Furious. After the movie everyone went home, I sighed and grabbed a blanket before laying on the couch and fall asleep.
