Zero Percent

???: 30%... no, 20%?

Two males stood before each other, one silently listening while the other slipped his jacket back onto his frame.

???: That's the probability you'll beat Mori. Your blue dragon skills are commendable but are too much of a strain on your body. Lethal moves are a technique themselves. The skill gap between you two is just too large.

The silent listener finally revealed themselves to be Dawei. The fighter going up against you and Mori in an unprecedented triple threat finale.

Dawei: Hmm... what about (L/n)?

The other male took a moment to push up his glasses before tilting his head to the side in thought.

???: (L/n) is a foreigner and doesn't use any typical fighting style. He relies on sheer brutality and quickness to overwhelm his opponents. Every match he has one was either over within the first couple minutes or while his opponents were off guard. With your full attention on him and your focused form...

The male lifted his fist, closing his eyes to do a silent calculation before lifting up one finger. 1% really? Of course, his words betrayed this. It wasn't 1%, it was to make a point.

???: 100%

Announcer: Now! The long-awaited... GOH Capital Area Final Match Begins!

The crowd came alive with a roar of cheers, rattling the building almost as the three of you walked out. Mori and Dawei were shoulder to shoulder, stiffly walking forward while you trailed a few steps behind, wrapping a bandage around your knuckles. Truthfully you had no idea how you would beat these two. Mori seemed like a monster and Dawei was certainly no push-over. Your mood soured, your mind fading back to the unnecessary beatdown he gave to Mira. One you should repay in kind. The three of you stepped into the ring all three taking to a corner. You could feel the cloth of your shirt clinging to your muscles. Winning was a long stretch but if you were going to fail anyway it might as well be before the finish line.

Mother: (Y/n) (L/n)!

The crowd responded in kind to your mother's chants. She seemingly revied a hidden fanbase for your victory in between the shouts for the other two competitors. Your mother was smugly proud of this before plopping back into her seat next to your yawning father.

Mother: How are you not excited?! Our son is about to win the tournament!

Father: I am excited, I was just up worrying about work.

Mother: What they sent you another email late in the night again?

Father: Yeah, but I'm also worried about (Y/n). He is tough but those two are monsters.

Mother: Well... that's true but it's our job to believe in him no matter what! What do you say, honey?

Mia silently watched, her eyes scanning the figures of your two opponents and your own before softly deadpanning.

Mia: Why is he wearing pool shorts?

It was then your mom and dad turned and also deadpanned.

Unlike Mori and Dawei, you took the time to run to a local store in the hopes of something to fight more loosely in. That and you had just down your laundry, but let's go with the cooler first reason. You desperately just wanted some boxing shorts, but as time drew closer, you grabbed the first thing you could find. And that just so happened to be a pair of black pool shorts with white speckles on the left thigh and a white flower on the right, to go with your black t-shirt. You already looked weird so throwing your dress shoes on that would just worsen the environment so for the final match you simply wrapped boxing tape around your lower calf and ankle to simulate some sort of fighting style. You look completely stupid in your opinion but maybe you cou-

Announcer: READY!... FIGHT!

The fight was suddenly underway though no one moved. The three of you stood seemingly frozen in place. It was Dawei who broke the freeze first by raising his fists with a huff.

Dawei: Do me a favor... I don't want you two to fall from just one or two punches like somebody we know...

This snide little comment managed to alight the furnace in your body, your muscles ready to move. It was Mori that moved first though, laying into Dawei with kicks and knees that staggered the technical style Dawei used.

Mori: Hey... what are you doing?!

Mori was growing frustrated with his continued offense of Dawei while you could only watch. The slight murmurs of the crowd brought you away from the ring in a moment of almost clarity.

???: Why is he standing there?

???: Maybe he wants those two to tire themselves out.

???: Eh, it's smart but doesn't exactly spell champ to me.

Gulping softly, you glanced down at your hands, bruises hidden by the pristine tape. Your hands were... shaking. Was it adrenaline? Rage? fear? You didn't know but as Dawei used a lull in the fight to strike Mori's foot, he set about a counterattack. One of which you would not allow.

Dawei's fist collided into the stomach of Mori, lifting him off the ground from the uppercut before sending him reeling. It was in this moment, as his muscles burned as he forgot about the pain building from Mori's assault that he was surprised. That's right... this wasn't a one v one... it was a three-way. His left shoulder was gripped and he was pulled back spinning into a vicious right hook, malice lacing the  (E/c) eyes of his second opponent. Dawei staggered softly lifting his hands to block another incoming punch. Your hand sailed forward though that wasn't your goal. As soon as Dawei's palm wrapped tightly around your fist you pulled back with all your might. Dawei's grip was still tight, forcing the male forward into a knee that buried into his stomach. The male let out a puff of pained air. This was your chance as you wrenched your hand free and wrapped it behind Dawei's head. Connecting with your free hand, you forced Dawei's nose directly into another knee, then another. You cocked your knee back for a third knee, aiming to restructure the male's nose before you were hit with the force of a train on your face. A powerful kick connects with the side of your head causing you to release the hold on Dawei and retreat a few steps. Mori wasn't going to sit back in this fight either.

Mori's eyes couldn't help but widen as you noticed the distinct knee strikes used in muay Thai. But you didn't practice that or any style in particular. Maybe when (L/n) was on the sidelines at the beginning of the fight he noticed Dawei's aversion to kicks. Mori set his foot back on the ground but noted the pain resting in it from Dawei's strike earlier. For now, he would need to focus on Dawei to knock him out of the fight (L/n)! Dawei wasn't waiting for the Mori to think as he launched another fist into his stomach, releasing some sort of shockwave with it sending Mori staggering. Mori watched as you stepped back forward, fists ready for another strike only for Dawei to unleash a kick of his own, using the preparation of the move to twist and launch a nasty sidekick into (L/n)'s ribs. Mori decided now was a proper distraction to unleash another re taekwondo kick and thus he struck forth.

Your eyes examined Dawei and Mori. Taekwondo and Kyokushin Karate. You had never fought the two before back home, but you could see one thing clearly. The strikes that broke through were shattering your defense. Brutality was one thing but a loose form like yours was putty in the face of these monumental strikes. Dawei was even producing these sort of shockwaves with his strikes and kicks while Mori moved so fast you couldn't even keep up. You were being left behind in this fight. Something had to be done before you were isolated. Dawei seemed the weaker of the two but he has done substantial damage to Mori so far that could spell trouble for you. Shit... how the hell did you even make it this far? Your first collided with Mori's nose once more though Dawei caught your chin with an uppercut. This three-way fistfight was growing nastier. the lack of movement and impact was making your hits do nothing to these two monsters. But you would be damned if you didn't do the best you could. Even if...

The fight kept dragging on. Mori would land a kick only for Dawei to deflect with a punch. You would catch Dawei with a brutal strike only to be punished in kind by the agile Mori. There was no deciding factor as the three of you squared off. Finally after clashing for a least a few minutes straight the three of you back off. The three of you were coated in bruises, your nose, in particular, leaking out blood from a severe kick from Mori. Gulping softly, you watched as Mori went for one more kick on Dawei only for the male to pull some sort of move.

Dawei: Wave of...

The strikes clashed so quickly that they actually kicked up someone or dust. Though it settled quickly. The two stood still, stuck in time as Mori had missed his kick and Dawei missed with his strike. It was only then that your (E/c) gaze looked upon the crater now behind Mori.

(Y/n): What the hell... what the hell...

Those words were all you could muster. No ordinary strike could do that. What the hell martial art did they learn in Korea? All at once slashes appeared on Mori's skin and clothes, the damage adding up quickly as he fell backward. Dawei was in greater shape as he fell to a knee. However, he got up much quicker than usual, probably due to your interference. Dawei's gaze turned from the collapsed Mori... to you.

Dawei: Stand... down. Unless you want me to send you to Mira.

You couldn't even muster a response. Hah... he was a monster in every sense of the word, huh?

(Y/n): Bastards like you are the reason I can't fight anymore. Stretching these old muscles brought back a lot of memories. Ones I wanted to forget. But if you want to seriously do this. Seriously try to break me... well...

You let out a cool breath out of your nose, feeling it graze the sweat-covered skin of your face. Your left leg stretched out softly, planting your foot onto what was left of the ring while your right leg planted itself firmly underneath you. Bending at the knee, you lowered a bit closer to the ring and raised your arms. Discarding the battered and bloodied tape on your hands with simple pulls of the fabric, your right hand curled back into a fist while you extended your fingers of your left and held it before you.

(Y/n): I'll just have to break you first...

The eyes of the audience were utterly confused. Some were calculating. Surprised by the results and ever intrigued to see where this went. Two pairs of eyes, in particular, were in utter devastation, realizing the significance and history of that stance. Another next to those two was merely confused, curious of the meaning. While one last pair rested behind a pair of glasses knowing that all of his calculations just went flying out the window.

Mother: I... never thought I would see that again.

Father: This must be more serious than I thought.

Mia: What are you talking about?

Your younger sister was clueless but noted the disdain, fear, and sorrow in their shining eyes. Just what was this...? Meanwhile, the group of GOH individuals from before watched.

???: I thought you said (L/n) didn't have a fighting style?

???: He didn't register with one. Maybe he had this on the backburner?

???: Or he could have learned a couple to keep up with those two.

A certain man in this group watched in a certain exquisite curiosity. Wandering what mystery would finally unravel that he had questioned since your first match.

Dawei didn't say anything, watching your body sink into a fighting style. This one was much more grounded than your first like a worm revealing its teeth as a viper. The pressure and aura exuding off your form was mounting. Dawei assumed his own stance once more ready to end this once and for all as Mori struggled to get back up. He knew you had strength but were not agile like Mori. So this would be more of a standup fight if he predicted this properly. Thus, he engaged quickly lifting his leg for another surprising kick to the ribs.

Dawei had predicted you blocking the kick but was startled as your arm coiled around the leg with crushing force. Your raised fist had been building momentum and launched forward with destructive intent. No... Dawei could tell... you were no mere viper. But a python ready to end him with one swift strike.

DING DING DING DING

Announcer: Ahh! The 1st round is over! As explained before the match, the finals will be conducted in 5 rounds!

Your fist was a finger length away from Dawei's chest, just above his heart as you pulled back from the assault, releasing his leg before returning to the corner you had selected in the beginning to be tended to by a cute nurse. Mori had also pulled himself up and simply watched the match to see your new attack only for the match to end so his wounds could be tended to. Dawei let out a cough, the mere shockwave from your fist causing his chest to ache. So you had some bite to your moves as well.

Nurse: Don't worry honey I'll get this bleeding cleared up for you~

You could only gulp softly, looking upward at the lights as the nurse tenderly looked after your nose which only nose stopped bleeding. Your shirt was coated but at least it was black to cancel it.  The intermission didn't last much longer as the second round commenced quickly, the nurses leaving the three of your to batter each other once more. You, however, had no plans to drag along anymore. You wanted to be done. You wanted to avenge Mira. Especially... uh... considering the gift she left you.

(Y/n): Dawei. I want you to fight me.

Dawei: This is a three-way.

Your gaze turned to Mori. His own cold gaze was hard to calculate but he seemed to relent, nodding softly much to the surprise of Dawei.

Dawei: Huh... what happened to that love of fighting Mori?

(Y/n): You remember that line you said? "I'm gonna send you to Mira".

Dawei: What of it?

(Y/n): Come at me.

You didn't assume the stance from once before, simply waiting for the male with your arms at your side. You were exhausted and even now let out heavy breaths. Dawei and Mori were not in much better shape but Dawei concluded that he shouldn't approach you.

Dawei: You wanted to fight me.

With a breath, you obliged. You didn't sprint or even run but carefully walk forward. your muscles ached and it seemed like your bones were on the verge of collapse as the only thing puppeting your body seemed to be the adrenaline and lust for vengeance. Never once raising your hands, you waited for Dawei to throw out a punch or a kick but you were now surprised yourself. Dawei's hands rested above your head and just before your stomach ever so gently.

Dawei: Wave of Blue Dragon...

"Wave of..." Those words floated back into your memory as you quickly sidestepped to the right feeling razors cascade over your body. Your left arm and stomach were torn up, long slashes appearing on your side and arms with one running from your cheek up to your forehead over your left eye. Closing the eye for fear of the blood pouring from your face, you needed to attack now! Dawei needed a moment to recover and by then it was already commencing. Your right knee folded and delivered a crucial blow to the side of Dawei's right leg. The male tried to stay up but the exhaustion and pain filled him causing him to buckle forward. Using this chance, your right foot planted onto the ring, and your injured left leg shot out. Hooking around Dawei's ankle, you pulled the buckled leg in the other direction further staggering the male. This was the moment of truth.

Mori could only watch in silent contemplation. He didn't know the true reason he felt you fight Dawei on your own. You were much angrier about Mira than him since he managed to speak with her though he didn't have time to tell you her message. Then again another part of Mori couldn't help but admit a giddy feeling of seeing you finally break down from your use of raw brutality into some sort of style. He watched you land a nasty uppercut to Dawei's nose forcing his head back only to cock it back and throw another one into the middle of his chest. Dawei let out an agonized cough as he fell back only to have your right hand reach out and catch the collar of his shirt. You solidified your hold and turned to him gripping the collar with your left hand before lifting the male up with all of your strength to land a headbutt to his nose.

Dawei: Gah! H-Hah...

Dawei let out another cough as your right leg swept out his feet from under him letting him fall to the ring beneath you. Staggering back, you let out your own series of coughs, watching Dawei stumble back to his feet with the assistance of the ropes. He glared at you softly, his gaze exhausted, angry, and yet also sad. A part of you knew if this went on any further then you would be out of the count due to Dawei's sheer strength let alone trying to take on Mori who was getting a free breather. So now it was time to end this.

Dawei was a mess of emotions and simply lifted his left leg to throw a kick to your ribs. However, like at the end of the 1st round, your arm coiled around his leg, holding it in place as your right foot hooked behind his right ankle and pulled forward throwing the male off balance. So... you saved that punch from the first round for now... huh? Dawei thought this as that malice-filled punch was thrown forward. It connected with his chest almost in slow motion as Dawei's eyes widened. a series of tremors and shockwaves filled his body and you released his leg to let him fly back into the turnbuckle. Dawei tried to reach for the rope one last time. One last bout of strength to end this. But his fingers missed and his feet couldn't plant onto the rind as he slide down.

Dawei: Huh... that's...

The punches and sweeps... Dawei finally got it. Looking up at you one last time, His gaze met your (E/c) eye before he slipped into unconsciousness. Dawei had in fact gotten it. You didn't just beat him with brutality. Sure you were brutal but you had a technique in this fight. this match brought it out of you. But he was wrong to prepare the way he did because...

You didn't use one fighting style, but two.

Announcer: Han Dawei is down! Jin Mori and (Y/n) (L/n) are the last two standing! Who will win the finals and claim victory in the GOH tournament?!

You let out a breath, surprised by the calm coolness to it as you turned from the unconscious Dawei to focus on Mori who tapped his foot against the ring twice.

(Y/n): Don't go easy on me.

Mori: I would never dream of it.

And just like that, the two of you raced toward each other ready to end these finals once and for all...
