Chapter No.74. Relativity

Spring was just a few weeks away, but it was still chilly. Robert had covered the swimming pool with an enclosure. Windows circled the enclosure plus an addition that contained the basketball court and a play area.

Attired in string bikinis, Janet and Sylvia were enjoying the pool, while Robert and James, attired in shorts and sneakers, were playing one-on-one basketball. Over in the play area, Baby Jack was playing with Sparky.

Janet watched Sylvia make a twirling dive from a mid-board. She made a perfect entry and swam over to edge and pulled herself up out of the pool.

"I'm surprised the guys aren't over here admiring us," Janet said.

Sylvie gave her a smirk. "Yeah, we've made our bodies look like the babes on a Swimsuit Sports Illustrated cover."

Janet giggled as she ran her hands down over her shapely torso. "I can't believe that I look this sexy."

"We look like we belong in Victoria's Secret commercials," Sylvia said.

They laughed.

"In a way, it's cheating," Janet said. "There is no way that I should look like a sex bimbo."

"Why not? You deserve it."

Janet smiled. "The question is: do they deserve it."

Sylvia giggled. "Nah!"

They laughed.

Over in the basketball court, James noted their levity. "They seem to be having a good time over there."

Robert smiled. "Yeah, they're admiring their sexy bods."

"I'm not sure that's an acceptable superhero attitude."

"We have no idea what's acceptable," Robert said. "We're experimenting with an experiment."

"Sounds like circular reasoning," James responded.

Robert's eyes grew large. "Oh, oh!"

James sighed. "Yeah, I see it!"

They changed into their superhero outfits and teleported to a location seven miles up into the atmosphere. A twelve-meter sized asteroid had plunged into the atmosphere and was about to get hot enough to explode over the city, which would cause serious destruction.

"Let's just move it up and out," Robert said.

"Good plan," James replied.

The asteroid flew back up out into space and sped off on its merry way.

Robert and James appeared back on the basketball court in their shorts and sneakers.

"Let's get cleaned up and call it a day," Robert said. He and James went over to the shower room but found that Janet and Sylvia were there taking showers.

"You guys will have to wait," Janet said after turning her head to look at them.

"This shower room isn't much good for privacy," Sylvia said. "It doesn't have a door."

"It doesn't need one," Robert said. "We're the only ones using it."

"Are you guys done ogling us?" Janet asked with a mock frown.

"We know what you look like," James said with an ornery smirk.

Robert gestured. "Come on, we'll go watch Baby Jack teach Sparky new tricks."

The women laughed.

Robert and James went over to the play area and sat down to watch what Baby Jack was doing. He was holding a large plastic ring and having Sparky jump through it at different altitudes and orientations.

After several minutes of observation, James had a comment. "You must realize how crazy this looks. A super Infant is training a super dog how to do tricks."

"It would probably make a great YouTube video," Robert quipped.

"Actually, that's not a bad idea. I could use a fake persona to do that and make plenty of money."

"I wonder if people would think it's faked."

"Yeah, that's the trouble with the internet. You never know what's real."

Janet and Sylvia came over and sat down.

"It's your turn," Janet said.

"You gals decide to just wear your birthday suits now?" Robert said with a hint of a smirk.

"No one is watching us," she replied with a teasing grin.

"Don't you guys like looking at us?" Sylvia asked.

"We would be lying if we said we didn't," Robert said. "It's just that you deserve our respect."

"We realize that, but we figured that you wouldn't mind some entertainment."

"You should be careful about enhancing your looks to the extreme," Robert said. "people might get suspicious."

"No one on the outside sees us this way because we resort to our frumpy selves when in public."

"I wonder what the Vestal Virgins would think about this," James said.

"As long as we don't cause any harm to anyone or anything, they would say it's okay," Robert said.

"They'd probably laugh," Sylvia said. "They already think we're hung up on sex."

"Not to change the subject, but where did you guys go?" Janet asked.

"We stopped an asteroid from exploding over the city."

Janet frowned. "Why didn't you tell us?"

"You weren't appropriately attired." Robert said.

"Very funny, dear."

A few days later Janet decided to stay at home and clone herself in the credit union office. She wanted to help design some changes to the house, especially the new additions.

"I think that we need to enlarge this pool and add a body slide," Janet said, looking over the enclosed pool at the back of the house.

"I'm not familiar with those," Robert said. "But I can help enlarge the pool."

"We need to extend the pool about fifty feet towards the back," she said, gesturing.

Robert envisaged that and the pool chamber and the pool began a gradual transformation Janet visualized a curving, half covered and half open plastic body slide in vivid orange.

"Wow, that's wild!"

She giggled. "I think it'll be fun."

"James and Sylvia want a larger area to do their diamond business. I was thinking about extending the basement to go under the basketball court and play area."

"You'll have to extend the electrical and internet for that," Janet said.

"Okay, no problem. We may as well extend the play area to match up with the pool enclosure."

"I'm glad that they're adding to our family budget," Janet said. "My salary won't cover it, and my inheritance is pretty much done with."

"Yeah, all because of me. I'm surprised that you used it for my intensive care."

"You were worth it," she said with a smirk. "Besides, it was probably in God's plan."

He sighed. "You're probably right."

Later that evening, James and Sylvia saw their new work area.

"Way to go!" James exclaimed. "I've started a YouTube gig with videos of Baby Jack and Sparky. My moniker is 'Jack Spark'."

"How appropriate," Robert commented.

They laughed.

"I'm going to go check out the new body slide you created," Sylvia said.

"It wasn't my doing," Robert said. "Your mother came up with it."

"Even better!"

"I'll join you," Janet said.

They made their clothing vanish and ran off to the pool.

James guffawed. "Women!"

"Yeah, I agree," Robert added. He smiled. "I'm glad you came up with a way to legitimately add money to our operation here. I don't think it would be wise for me to have gotten a job, my background being what it is."

"I'm glad that Sylvia and I can make money, especially the amounts we can generate."

"Amen to that. I can see why God decided to make us into a family. It allows us to operate as a cohesive unit."

"Yes, and we may as well get used to it."

Robert knew that he was right about that.
