BILBO'S POV

Last night after Laci left. Gandalf tried getting Sapphire and I to stay but I knew we couldn't. I had a job to do. I needed to make sure Sapphire was safe and that everyone knew about Laci's.......baby. So after everyone had left, I woke Sapphire up.

"Sapphire we need to leave."

"Momma?"

"She had to leave you must come with me." She nodded and took a hold of my hand. Carefully and quietly we made it back to Erebor safely.

I led Sapphire down to where I knew all the dwarves would be at this time. I smiled knowing it was right, when I heard the singing from down the hall. I breathed a breath of relief when Thorin wasn't there.

"Evening Bilbo, would you like a drink?" Fili asked.

"No, I'm fine thank you. But I do need everyone's attention." He nodded but walked away. "Hello everyone, I have.....news."

"What kind of news?" Bofur asked. Everyone turned to me.

"Well go on Bilbo!"

"Balin I might need your help after I am done but Laci she's um..."

"What laddie? What is it?"

"Her and Thorin are expecting." My shoulders fell as I let that out. I looked around at their faces. They all had mixed emotions.

"When had this happened without us knowing?" Bofur asked.

"Perhaps this is where I come in." Balin announced and came in front of the crowd. "Awhile ago Laci had found Bilbo and I in the library. Then the idea came about her turning to help Thorin's dragon sickness. Also with other things. I feared this would happen. I wasn't to sure, but now I am."

"Well isn't this good news? We should tell Thorin." Kili yelled.

"No!" I stopped Kili.

"Why not?"

"Laci wants to tell Thorin. Expecially with how he has been acting around her. He won't take it lightly if we tell him."

"I agree with Bilbo, if I am the only person he allows to talk to Laci. Then us telling him wouldn't be so great."

"Well is she telling him now?" Dwalin asked.

"No, she said she had to do something. Left without another word."

"She didn't tell you where she was going?" Balin asked.

"If I did then, why wouldn't I know." I felt Sapphire lean against me. "I need to get her bed."

"Do so, we will see you in the morning." Balin nodded then I went off to bed.

It is so early this morning. Balin had awoken me just a mintue ago. I barely made it up the steps as I saw an army of Elves and men.

"Has Laci returned?" I asked Balin.

"No, laddie she hasn't. Thorin has noticed and has begun to think she is the enemy."

"Why hasn't she returned?"

"Your guess is as good as mine."

Looking over at Thorin I saw that he shot an arrow between Thranduil and Brad. "The next one will be between your eyes." Thranduil just looked at Thorin. Suddenly the Elves moved and the archers where pointing arrows at us.

"We come to tell you payment for your debt has been offered and excepted."

"What payment? I gave you nothing, you have nothing!" Thorin shouted.

Brad reached into his coat and took out the Arkenstone. "We have this." He said as he held it up.

"They have the Arkenstone." Kili whispered. "That stone belongs to the king."

"The king my have it. In our good will. But first he must honor his word." Bard replied. Thorin whispered something but I could not hear. So I sunk back more to the back of the group.

"The Arkenstone is in this mountain! It is a trick!!!" Thorin yelled. Well it's my time to step in.

Laci's POV (Couple Hours Earlier)

Last night I felt the urge to go back to my old kingdom. Not that there was much of it. But I went back and stayed the night. It wasn't the best choice in my life, but hey in my mind it was.

I had stayed in my old room for the night. But sadly I was awoken to voices in my room.

"Is she dead?" Asked a man.

"She can't be dead. She is still breathing." A girls voice spoke.

"I agree." Said another. Groaning I opened my eyes to see two girls. One had Auburn hair and a boy and girl with black hair.

"Oh hello!" Screamed the girl. She looked younger then me.

"Forgive her she likes meeting new people." Said the boy.

"Forgive both of them. I'm Nai and this it Dilas and Milas." The Auburn hair girl said. "Their siblings just so you know. Dilas is older than Milas." I just gave her a weird look.

"We know who you are!" Said Milas. "We were told to find our after..." She counted her fingers "one hundred and eighty years."

"Who sent you?" Was the only thing that came out.

"Your parents. Sorry but we where told a day before everything happened that we needed to leave."

Okay I'm still confused. "Okay..."

"Basically were just like you long of the short. Your parents said something bad would happen and we needed to fight with you. Then help rebuild our race." Dilas said. I like him!

"As it seems you have already started on that." Nai said. She went to poke my belly but I slapped her hand away.

"So I'm younger than all of you?"

"No, it goes Dilas, you, me then Milas." Nai explained.

"Why did my parents sent you? I mean they had to have a reasoning."

"One to help you fight in a war or something. Two, to help you bring back our race."

Crap!!! I didn't tell Thorin. I need to get back! "Thanks guys. But I must get going and all-"

"We will come too." Milas shouted. Gosh she reminds me so much of Sapphire it's scary.

"Fine, can you guys turn?"

"We are Dragon-borns." I smiled at Dilas comment.

"Good then follow me." I said and took off out the window. The changing into my snow white dragon form.

They all followed one by one. Dilas was first. He turned into a black dragon with orange eyes. Nai was next she turned into a gold dragon that had emerald eyes. Then Milas, she was hesitant at first but then turned into a beautiful silver dragon with golden eyes.

Once we started for the mountain I could feel Bilbo calling out for me. So that made me hurry.

"No, it's not a trick the stone is real. I gave it to them." No Bilbo what are you doing? I knew he couldn't hear me, but I needed to say it.

"You?" I heard Thorin's deep voice. He was just a tad angry.

"I took it as my fourteenth share."

"You would steal from me?"

"Steal no! I may be a burglar but I believe I am an honest one. I'm willing to let it stand against my claim."

"Against your claim? Your claim! You have no claim over me. You little rat!"

"I was going to give it too you but-"

"But what thief?"

"You are changed Thorin! The dwarve I met back in Bag-End. Would have never doubted the loyalty of his kin!!" Bilbo yelled. We had finally made it over head. I could see all the Elves outside of Erebor.

"THROW HIM FROM THE RAMPART!!! no one moved, guess it was time for me to intervene.

I roared as loud as I could. Almost every man, Elve and dwarve. Looked up to the sky. I could see Gandalf moving towards the mountain.

With a loud thud I hit the ground. The three all went to one side of the Elves. Just incase.

"IF YOU DON'T LET MY BURGLAR GO, RETURN HIM TO ME!" Gandalf yelled as he stepped next to me.

"THORIN UNHAND BILBO!" I roared still in my dragon form. Thorin looked up and met my eyes. He let Bilbo go.

"Never again will I do deals with Wizards, Shire rats or-" Don't say it. "Dragon borns." He said it. It shattered through my body as cold as ice.

Bilbo finally made his way over to me. I gave him as sad smile as he rested his small hand on my claw.

"Give us your answer will you have peace or war?" Bard asked.

"I will have war." Thorin said, then you heard heavy footsteps near.

Looking over my shoulder I saw an army come over the hill. "Iron Foot!" Whispered Gandalf. Great just what we needed. "Laci go over and spectate the two races. If we can prevent this then we should." I nodded.

"And Laci!" He called after me. "Stay in your dragon form. The baby will be safe that way." I nodded quickly then got to my position. Hopefully this will work.

I updated for you guys!!! And it didn't take months to do so.

Schools been crazy and I'm excited to say that I'll be done in a few months!!! I'm so excited.

But I also have bad news. The next three chapters will be the last ones in this book.
