Three days drift by in the blink of an eye. Amber wakes up to find Shu drooling all over her hand while he pleasantly sleeps. And as expected, that ended up in a big fight among them. After several trials, Audrey, Ashlee and I concluded that the body switch between us may be due to overlapping thoughts that inturn disturbs the game system.

Meanwhile, the venue for the Halloween event was decided to be at The Red Dragon's estate as it was enormous! It could fit an entire fleet! There was an enthusiastic atmosphere around us as we begin decorating the manor with numerous Halloween decorations. But that enthusiasm didn't last long as a lot of conflicts arose when group decisions were involved. Soon, the entire place was upside down by people throwing objects in all directions. The preparation itself seemed like an haunted house, where even the ghosts wouldn't dare to reside.

Next, we decided to buy our costumes from the next town. Few stitched their own while the others were too lazy to even pick up the needle! We splited at the Halloween stores chain and searched for everything that would make the event further interesting! And in order to save money, each one was given a task to buy an item from the list, apart from the costumes which was solely our own decision.

But the most fun part comes in where Ashlee and I switch once more, in the costumes section. And what really surprised me was the fact that Ashlee thought the same thing as me. And what was in my mind at that moment? "Ashlee would look extravagant in a bunny costume!" And then, the switch occurs. Oh no! could that have been really the trigger this time?

But I didn't even hesitated when I locked my eyes on the bunny costume and place it at the cashier. Once we exit the shop, she pokes me on the back as we switch back to our bodies again. After the swap, Ashlee runs away, giggling. I wonder.. "What could she have bought for me?"

Brimmed with curiousity, I run back to the Black Knights's cottage to find a costume with bunny ears and on the package a ticket.. "a costume that can reverse your age and make you look cute and appealing to everyone around you" wait... What?! That's the same outfit I bought for Ashlee!

The day ended with that surprising revelation! The next day Halloween finally arrives! The upcoming day will be compose on two events: In the first, we will wear the costumes we chose until night falls. Whereas the second is the major event everyone's been waiting for! We will have to wear formals for a ball. And as to be expected.. many were left without a partner, while few like Shu and Amber ended up pairing together after several fights.

So the big event is finally here! I wake up in the morning and stare outside the window, glazing at the beautiful lake that stretched far and wide, and the bright sunlight dazzles on it's crystal water.

I bury my face in the pillow, embarassed as recall the day I asked Ashlee for the ball. "A dance with Ashlee..." Even among all the teams, Ashlee is treated as an innocent cookie princess and dancing with her is like a dream for many. And me inviting her... I'm sure that I would be getting quite the number of stares today, but I hope I wouldn't be beaten to pulp.

I hear a knock on my door as Amber shouts, "Nuke wake up! We have to start early today, remember?!" That's right! The preparations aren't complete yet. And oh lord.. I just can't wait to see Ashlee in her costume. But before that... I lay my eyes on the bunny ears on my bed, "I would definitely be treated like a kid if I put this on..." I groan.

With the ears well hidden in my pocket, I push the door open to find the others in their costumes already. Anderson looked taller and equipped with a scythe. A grim reaper perhaps? Amber, a devil with long hair and large wings. And Sarah... An autentic white fluffy cat that could walk on two legs! And Matthew and Shu are still holed up in their room.

Amber kicks open Shu's door to find him still curled and well hidden under a thick pile of blankets. "Hey!" Amber walks in, glaring at him with ferocious eyes. Her eyes turn red which makes her look more of a devil than she already is. Is she planning on killing him?! I pick up a black magician hat beside the door and examine it.

Meanwhile, Amber raises her foot and smashes the bed, tearing it down till the bottom. She really did have the intent to kill him! But what's under the blanket? Is a bunch of pillows! So... Where's Shu?

Suddenly, the hat in my hands begins to wriggle as Shu pops out of it and taps my forehead. I stare at him for a minute, petrified. I scream, throwing the hat at Amber. Shu jumps out of the hat and falls over her, throwing both of them down. Shu who's dressed as a magician stands back up and lends Amber a hand. "Now, that was fun!" he chuckles. Amber bites his finger and squeals "No, it wasn't!" She equips her scythe and chases Shu all around the house. "These guys will never mature..." I sigh.

"Nuke, where's your outfit?" Sarah asks, looking at me, eagerly. Sarah being a cat, could only reach halfway up my knee. Okay, maybe being a bunny boy wouldn't be that bad... I pull out the bunny headband and take a deep breath. It's going to be fine.. it's going to be fine...

I put it on. And then... I start to... shrink?! It's not just my body! But my clothes shrinked as well! I look up to find Amber and Shu gazing at me with longing eyes. "Nuke, you are so cute!" Amber squeals. Oh god! I have a bad feeling about this.

Amber picks me up and pats my head. "Put me down!" I retaliate. And once she does, we bang on Matthew's door once more. "Brother, come out this instant!" Amber shouts.

"Uhhh.. there's something wrong with my outfit. You can go without me" I hear Matthew saying. But why does he sound more feminine?

I hop onto Anderson's shoulder as we head out to the red dragon's estate. And outside the gate, a man with hair in the colour of a juvenile leaf and as tall as Anderson, greets us. "Where's Matty?" Is the first question the man asks, while dusting his grey shirt with a plain green tie. Not to mention, the cyan borders along the shirt, with the casual black jeans gave him a stunning yet familiar appearance.

"Who are you?" Sarah questions.

"Sarah, is that you?" The boy looks down, amazed.

"Yes, and answer my question!" Sarah growls.

"Am I that hard to recognize? I'm Ashley" he laughs. Now, that was unexpected. Although I did think of that possibility when she asked for Matthew, but... Thank goodness, I'm not the only one who looks weird. And then, Ashley looks at me.

"Nuke...?" Her eyes sparkle as she lifts me up and snuggles me. "Stop it!" I cry, resisting her cuddles.

"But why did you choose that outfit?" Anderson asks Ashley, curiously.

"Well, I always wanted to swap genders with Matthew. I wanted to be a man and he my lady" she chuckes. Wait... Then...

"Matthew is disguised as a girl?!" Shu bursts out laughing.

"Didnt you see him?"

"Nope, he was too afraid to show up I guess"

"No, I'm not afraid anymore!" I hear a girl shout behind us. A young slim girl with short jet black hair and her clothes similar to the ones Ashlee is currently wearing, except for the short black skirt with a cyan border and long black leggings. She steps forward swiftly and hides behind Ashley. "I knew this would eventually happen..." The girl groans.

"Matty..? Pfft" Ashley pats him as she laughs "Hello, my gorgeous"

"Idiot" Matthew pouts. He turns around and walks away, stiffly.

"Matty, wait for me!" Ashley tallies.

The black Knights march ahead through the gates. The team disperses a minute later and I increase my pace towards the mansion so that none notice me. And then, it comes into view. It isn't about the Frankenstein I've seen earlier or the skeleton who was juggling with his own bones... It's the jewel I've been seeking for ever since I woke up from my bed. Something that I would treasure more than the dazzling scenery outside my window.. And there she is. A cute girl with a bunny hairband and her height, the same size as mine. She wore a black, extravagant dress without any sleeves. A cute little husky jumps on her as both play their little game, catch.

"Hey Nuke!" She greets as she finds me gazing at her. "You are so cute!" She giggles. I hide my face as it turns deep red.

"Yo..you too.." I say as she hides her face as well. And then, we laugh at each other. The husky pounces on me as it licks all over my face. "Thelma?"

"Yup, that's me" the dog barks, snuggling it's furry cheeks with mine. I pat Thelma and then help the others finish their final preparations.

A few minutes later, the four teams- the Black Knights, the Red Dragons, the Brazen Eagles and the Brawlers are called to the living room. We stand before a huge stage, with the hall filled with a lot of commotion.

"Where's Matthew?" Sarah asks, swinging her tail while scratching her ears.

"Ashley's missing too!" I hear someone.. But who is it? I turn around to find... no one?

"I'm here!" The voice calls out again. Suddenly, Thelma hides behind Ashlee and me, whimpering. She points at Sarah and shrieks "It's a Spider!"

"That's not a spider. Sarah's a cat!" Ashlee laughs.

"Not that! I'm talking about the spider on her head!" She says trembling. I look closer to notice a tiny spider with large beady eyes on Sarah's head, waving at me.

"Lucas?"

"Yup, it's me" he says, adorably. Thelma contracts further, "Bu.. but I hate spiders..!"

We all laugh at Thelma and Lucas's meeting. And then, Ashley and Matthew appear on the stage. He stumbled as he hears Preston shouts "Isn't that.. Matthew?!"

"Miss Matthew, please be my wife" Milan laughs.

"Oh god.. I wish I never listened to your request.." Matthew mumbles to Ashley.

"Okay everyone, It's now time for a Halloween surprise!" A Halloween surprise? That wasn't in the schedule I've seen.

"Is Matthew going to dance in that outfit?" Shu taunts, making Matthew angry. He pounces over Shu but immediately held back by Ashley.

"The surprise is...." The whole crowd silences.

"A Halloween hunt!"

A hunt? Isn't that supposed to be an Easter activity?

"It isn't any ordinary hunt that you may presume. Let Matthew speak the rest"

"Ummm..." Matthew steps forward, unfolding a piece of parchment as there's an encore. Annoyed, he coughs twice. "Firstly, everyone would be placed in a group of two. It's up to you to choose your partner. Secondly.."

"Can I pair up with Mat?" Shu squeals.

"He's mine!" Ashley shouts back, making Matthew cough again.

He reads the paper like a really quick monologue as though he has a flight to catch up to. "Secondly..., the objects could be anything and will be well hidden all over the estate. The type of object, depends on the location its present in. The objects are enchanted with spells in such a way that everytime you touch one, a voice will be heard which would ask you to choose a question between either truth or dare. If you answer it the object will appear before your eyes. But if you don't then the two players will be disqualified."

Everyone stare at Matthew, baffled as he, or I would rather prefer calling 'she', steps back as Ashley takes his place again. But an object hunt proceeded by truth or dare? That sounds amazing!

A screen appears in the sky with a three hour countdown being shown. "The time limit for the game is three hours. The winner will receive a special prize along with being the first to dance in the ball! But.."

"Choosing truth or only dare all the time isn't permitted! Every time you choose one, the option will be locked for the next round"

There's a huge uproar as the crowd begins to pair up. I turn towards Ashlee and so does she. But before I could let a word out of my mouth, Brandon, marches in between us and looks down at Ashlee. And he was in the disguise of a clown.

"Ashlee, will you pair up with me?" he asks, politely. I look at him, surprised.

"Uhh..."

And then he gazes at me for a moment and looks at her again as he chuckles "I was just joking around Haha! I'm totally not interested in these little games"

Brandon pats Ashlee on her head and walks away.

"Are you sure he was just loitering around?" Thelma questions.

"Probably? He's always like that with me"

"Though he is the leader, I always felt a suspicious vibe rising from him." Thelma sighs. "So, are you both a pair now?"

I look at Ashlee once more. "We haven't decided on that" I say, rather bluntly. "Thelma, are you paired with someone?" I ask.

"Of course, I am! The guy isn't that hot, but sure is funny sometimes" she says, winking. Who could Thelma be talking about?

A pink balloon creature with green pair of shoes and as tiny as Thelma appears. A Kirby?

"Hey there chungoos! Please may I know where is my butler?" He asks.

"Your butler? Who are you?" I question back.

"I'm Kirby" he blurts.

"No, I meant the other you"

Thelma jumps on his head as she introduced. "This nutcase here, is Preston"

Preston?! His accent did seem familiar. Preston puts her down and they walk away together. We stare at the empty space for a minute where Preston and Thelma once stood. "Now, that's a weird combination..."

"Totally weird" Ashlee agrees. We laugh at the unexpected pair until an announcement is heard, "The game's starting in a minute. Your range is anywhere within the Red Dragon's lair"

There's a tiny pause, followed by four words "You may now begin!"
