Chapter 2

"Ni... I'm not ready."

"Hari shush. Everything will be okay, just trust in me."

"Alright."

Both girls looked up at the school sign above the entrance to the main building, the taller girl of the two uncomfortably trying to tug her skirt down so it had no chance if flaring up from the slightest of breezes.

"Welcome to Doncaster College," Nila read out before snorting when she read on. "Home of the Honey badgers."

"I like Honey Badgers." Hari pouted. "We'll be like Raven Claw! Aren't they honey badgers?" She added, eyebrows scrunching up as she thought.

Nila rolled her eyes. "I don't know, nor do I care. And why Raven Claw?" She huffed as she tugged her best friend into the school building, walking straight to the office with confidence that Hari envied. 'Nope, she belongs in Slytherin.' She thought.

"Hi, I'm Nila Horan and this here is Hari Styles. We're new students starting today, so I was wondering if we could have all the necessities." The Irish girl spoke. It was amazing to Hari how Nila just knew what she wanted. Even if she didn't, she would act like she would, always confident and bubbly and making people laugh.

The office lady looked up, raised an eyebrow and then nodded with a light chuckle. "Alright. This is the map of the school and these are your timetables. You have five classes a day. Since you're juniors, first break will be at 10:40 and lunch is at 1:30," she handed them pieces of paper.

"The numbers at the top of your page is the code to your locker." She tapped the top of the paper, and Hari was getting slightly overwhelmed with what this lady was saying.

"You both have Home Economics first, its on the other side of the school, all you need is to walk straight down this hall and walk out the building and you'll see the sign. So you girls should get going."

"A'ight, thank you ma'am."

💋

Hari was glad that the first two classes were done, sticking close to Nila as she could, walking close to her as they made their way to the cafeteria.

Once the girls passed through the doors, Hari gulped as people looked over at them and tugged her skirt down self-consciously. "Ni, I don't know if I can do this."

Nila sighed. "You'll be fine."

"But-"

"You'll be fine." She repeated.

Hari pouted again. "Okay." She nodded and looked around the cafeteria and sighed.

It was all quiet until...

"Oh my god, they're hot!" A shout was heard and Hari could feel heat rise to her cheeks; both newbies turning their heads toward a table occupied by three girls. One girl with glasses that accentuated her blue eyes was the only one gawking.

Nila smirked, turning her head to face her tall best friend and nudged her with her elbow. "See, not such a bad school after all."

💋

Hari ran out of the school as soon as the last period bell rang, going straight to where her mum was waiting in her family four wheeled drive, shutting the door and slumped in her seat.

"Bad day?" Her mother asked, brow raised as she watched her daughter slouch and peek out the car door.

"Bad day? No. Overwhelming, yes definitely. If it was on a scale of one to ten, I would be a thousand." Hari muttered, seeing Nila walk out of the school building with a exasperated look.

"Thanks for waiting, Haz." Nila huffed as she climbed into the back seat, lightly kicking the passenger seat.

"Sorry..."

The Irish blonde rolled her eyes, clicking in her seatbelt as Anne started the car.

As Nila and her mother conversed as they slowly made their way out of the congested carpark, Hari zoned out as her eyes caught sight of a certain blue eyed brunette. She watched as the girl waltzed up to two others, fist pumping one with black hair and ruffled the brown eyed one's hair. Her eyes trailed down her body, cheeks turning pink when they grazed over the curves and lines this girl possessed.

She bit down on her lip, noticing how plump her bum was, and appreciated her thick thighs and perky breasts.

You can't blame a girl for appreciating another girl, seriously.

Hari turned away, clearing her throat even though Nila and Anne weren't paying her any mind. 'Calm down H, you haven't even met this girl.'

"So Haz, sweetie, are you going to apply for that job at the bakery?" Anne asked and let out a small cheer when the carpark cleared up and could finally drive out onto the main road, Hari's eyes lingering on the three girls before they were too small to watch from the side view mirror.

"Huh? Oh, yeah I guess so. Need the money." The curly haired girl muttered, shutting her eyes as she relaxed into the passenger, listening to Nila sing along to Justin Bieber.

💋

Nila groaned from where she was laying on her bed, smacking her head into her textbook, whining into it, her best friend watching quietly in amusement.

"That's what happens when you choose hard maths." Hari quipped, giggling when the (fake) blonde just flipped her off in response.

"So you know that girl who called us hot? Yeah, well she's in my Geometry class. Her name is Louise." Nila spoke nonchalantly, rolling onto her side to watch Hari's reaction.

"Pretty bird too. Wouldn't mind getting between her legs too, if you know what I'm saying." She added on, smirking when Hari blushed and squeezed her pencil tightly between her fingers, brows furrowing as she tried focusing on her work.

'She's so into her. And they haven't even met.' Nila thought to herself.

Hari tried to ignore the blossoming feeling of jealousy in her stomach, focusing as best as she could on her homework.

💋

"So I'd like everyone to partner up for this activity. Hurry along now." The teacher, Mr Martin ushered. It was the second day of school, and probably worse than the first day.

Scraping sounds of chairs being pushed back started echoing around the room, people quickly finding partners with their friends.

Except for Hari as she stayed in her seat, her head ducked down as she focused on the book in front of her. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest at the thought of talking to a complete stranger.

The slight sound of the door opening reached her ears. "Ah, Ms Tomlinson, how nice of you to join us..." Mr Martin replied sarcastically as he marked her off the role.

"Sorry I'm late, Liann needed help with her chem experiment." Was heard in Hari's ears, the curly haired girl risking a peek up at the voice.

Her breath caught in her throat. 'It's the girl!' Was chanted in her head. If you could look inside her mind, it'll probably have sirens going off with little people running around in panic. Hari's eyes quickly darted back down to her book.

"Alright, go sit with Ms Styles, Louise. You can catch her up on the subject."

A few mumbles were heard, and the awkward girl squeezed her eyes shut when soft footsteps made their way closer to her.

"Styles right?"

She nodded, trying to muster up the courage to look up. And once her confidence had been gathered, her eyes met with the prettiest blues she had ever laid eyes on, her hand accidentally hitting her water bottle and hit the pretty girl's leg as it fell.

"Oops." She gasped, desperately trying to catch it.

Pretty just chuckled, reaching for the bottle and placed it back on its rightful place on Hari's desk.

"Hi." Pretty smiled. "I'm Louise and sometimes people call me Louis, but you can call me any time." She winked, sitting down opposite her
