Megatron's P.O.V

"What do you mean you failed to retrieve her!?" I growled out. my predicon growled at Knockout, who stood nervously close by.

"I had your human pet in my own servos when one of your own decided to try and take her from me. I would have completed both of my tasks if it had not been for Knockout." I glared at the medic, and he gulped loudly in reply.

"L-Lord Megatron! I was merely retrieving the femme for you myself..."

"You dare interfere with my plans! You were ordered to track the space pod that was sent down to this wretched planet and you failed to do so. Prediking, though you failed at retrieving the weapon, you did retrieve what I required most..."

I held the dark energon firmly in my hand. I smirked. "I shall have the power needed to defeat the Autobots. With this, and my pet, It shall be a simple task. Knockout!"

The medic's frightened optics grew wider as I walked towards him. "You shall pay for your insolence, but for now, doctor, I suggest you do your main job correctly. I require assistance." I held out the dark energon.

"My lord, I have information that may be of use to your pets capture." Prediking stated. I turned to the mech.

"What is it?" I snapped.

"The human femme is not able to control the dark energon. It will be most useful to you."

With this dark energon running through my system, there is no way for my pet to control me. I grinned at the thought as I exited my throne room. Soundwave stood ready as I entered the med bay.

"Have you required any surveillance on the femme?" I had my most loyal mech track her energon signal as soon as Prediking contacted me on the little incident he had with Knockout and then the Autobots.

I glared at the medic one last time before turning back to Soundwave, who nodded. His visor suddenly brightened and a recent video played. An area full of annoying fleshies walking around and laughing.

Bright lights and the sound of screams filled my optics. A video of the Autobots annoying little pets walking around and laughing. One of the Autobots holoforms was with them. My human femme was with them.

As she walked, she was separated from the group before being approached by an older mech. The mech did not hesitated to attack the girl with enormous strength. He began talking, but with no sound, I was unaware of what was being spoken.

Suddenly, a blue light flashed and the mech was forced backwards. The human girl, shaking and holding herself, stumbled away before stopping and closing her eyes. My optics widened as a groundbridge opened.

"She now has the ability to open groundbridges?" Knockouts voice sounded beside me. I grinned.

"She still changes, and I require her swiftly if this war is to be finished. Knockout!" he jumped at my shout, and I grabbed him by the neck. "Do as I command swiftly, then you will be assigned to retrieve the girl. I will not be failed again. Understood, medic?"

He gargled and nodded frantically. I growled and dropped him before turning back to Soundwave. "Do you have coordinants on her location now. Soundwave?"

He spoke in a mixture of other decepticons voices, "She is now unable to be tracked. Her signature is not online."

I hummed to myself in annoyance. "She must have transported herself back to her base. The fragging Autbot scum must have a protective field to block the signals." I grasped the dark energon harder in my hand before giving an evil smirk and plunging it into my spark chamber.

Knockout gasped. "L-Lord Megatron-n!" I shoved him aside, immediately feeling power surge through me.

"Soon, I will have all power, and the slagger prime will fall to his knees."

Wheeljack's P.O.V

"Are you sure you're up for this, Hope? You just recovered..."

My charge huffed in frustration. "I'm tired of being weak. I have all this power in me, but I can't even protect myself from a human.." she dropped her head, and I vented, kneeling down to her level.

"I couldn't protect myself from Macen.. How will I protect myself from the decepticons?" she whispered.

"Hey, kid! Lighten up! You did protect yourself from Macen! You used your abilities on him and got away. Your not weak." she made a small smile at me, her blonde hair glimmering in the sunlight. I smiled at her.

She was such a sweetspark. I knew that from the start. Always worrying about others, but carrying less about herself. Heck, when we went to retrieve the others from the fair, she was worried about accidentally killing the fragger Macen.

I let her hug my digit. We were standing on top of the base, the hot sun boring down on us. She had insisted on learning self defense. Not that I think she shouldn't know some sort of protection, but I did not like the idea of her working the day after she was injured.

"Come on, Wheeljack? Pleeaasseee? I really need to do this! You won't hurt me! I've been through worse.." she mumbled the last part, but I heard it. I shot her a warning look before setting her down.

"Don't think about it, kid. Let's just get to it." I turned on my holoform and she smiled nervously at me. "Okay, now first we learn self defense." she groaned.

"But I want to kick some butt!" she complained. I laughed.

"You can kick butt when you learn to protect your own. Now come here." she hesitated before slowly making her way towards me.

I wrapped my arm around her neck. Not strong enough to choke, but not loose enough for her to squirm away. She immediately tensed and I leaned down to her ear. "You know, if this is too much for you, I'll stop."

She swallowed before shaking her head. "It sort of reminds me of... him... but I'll manage. I need to learn to defend myself, Wheeljack. I'm tired of being weak."

I chuckled at her eagerness. "okay, let's just get this done before Ratchet asks where your at. He'll off-line me if he finds out I'm letting you do this after injury." she nodded, a short sign for me to continue.

"Okay.. first, let me see how you would try and get yourself out of this." I tightened my grip on her the slightest bit, making her struggle. She thrashed and kicked and even attempted to bite my arm. After a few minutes she went limp and huffed.

"This is so hopeless! I'm too small!" I peeked around to see her face. The slightest pout was planted on her face, making me chuckle.

"Okay, now I see how much you need this. Okay, lesson number one. When you are in a hold like this, the first thing you do is elbow the person right here." I poked her stomach with my free hand causing her to giggle.

"Okay.. Step one is to elbow in the stomach. Then what?"

"Hopefully, elbowing will loosen the grip, then you stomp on the attackers foot as hard as you can. And then when you get free, you turn to them and hit them in the nose." I released her and gave her an example slowly, tilting my palm up to hit the bottom of her nose and go up vertically.

"Never hit straight in the nose, it won't do much damage. And do it as hard as you can. If you're lucky, you'll break their nose." she nodded, a determined look on her face. I grabbed her in a headlock again and she stopped for a short moment.

"What if I hurt you?"

"Hurt me? Please, kid. I'm Cybertronian. Nothing can hurt this wrecke-" I grunted when her elbow hit my middle. It didn't really hurt all that bad, but I was taken back a bit. The femme had pointed elbows.

As I had instructed, she stomped on my right pede as hard as she could. I released her in pain. Maybe her change in CNA made her stronger..

My thoughts were interrupted when her small hand made contact with the bottom of my nose. My head snapped up, and I stumbled to the side. She gasped, both hands covering her mouth. "I thought you said I wouldn't hurt you!" She whisper shouted.

"Kid, you didn't hurt me." Lier. "And why are you whispering?"

"I thought I hurt you!" She whispered back. I laughed. This one is strange.

"Why are you whispering!?" I asked again. She giggled before shaking her head.

"I don't know." She replied. Her face lit up. "What else do ya have to teach me?"

"Lay down." She did as I was told and I climbed on top of her, pinning her hands below me. "Okay, if anyone ever has you in a hold like this, the first thing you do is attempt to free your hands. When your hands are free, do the same as I told you before with the attackers nose. Use as much force as possible. When they are distracted, attempt to buck them off."

(Quick A/N: I have NO clue if these are real defense skills. I kind of made them up as I went along. So if your reading this, realize I am a dipstick. I have no smarts when it comes to this area of knowledge. Now continue with the chapter!)

This time, when she attempted to do as I told her, she failed miserably. But mostly because I was just expecting it. I grinned down at her as she grumbled under her breath angrily.

"You're just so big and heavy! I'm like a stick and your a beefy chicken wing!" I stared down at her, confusion laced in my features.

"Chicken wing?" I laughed. Her face flushed deep red.

"Or a beefy stick of beef jerky.. I don't know how to make comparisons! Your just huge and I'm tiny!" she pouted. I laughed again. "Stop making fun of me!" She grumbled.

"Kid, you are so full of surprises. We should probably be heading back now. Ratchet will throw all of his wrenches at us if we don't show up. I'd rather keep my healm." I returned to my alt form and she huffed, crossing her arms as I picked her up.

"You know, if you want, I can take you to the Jackhammer for a ride. If it will cheer you up." her entire face lit up.

"Yeah! And it would be great to fly again! I'll get into something warmer." When we were back inside of the base, she jumped off of my hand and flew to the ground. Ratchet glared at me as he turned my direction.

"Enlighten me. Where were you two?"

"Chill out Doc bot, we were just talking." he gave me a skeptical look.

"Ready!" Hope sang. Ratchet glared at me.

"And where do you think you're taking her?" he snapped. The old grump...

"Just for a flight in the Jackhammer. Don't worry, I'll keep her safe."

"No flying." Ratchet ordered. Hope nodded quickly before hopping onto my hand.

"I'll open a groundbridge-"

"No! Wait! Can I try and do it? Wheeljack has extra energon in case I use too much! I want to try it again."

"You sure that's a good idea kid?" I asked. She smiled up at me.

"I have all these powers and I never use them. This one is helpful and I'd like to practice." I glanced at Ratchet, who sighed.

"For the love of Primus, I will not be fixing you again if you manage to somehow harm yourself."

She giggled before closing her eyes. A few seconds later, the groundbridge appeared before us. Ratchet let out a breath.

"Amazing..."

"Gotta go, Doc bot! Come on, Hope!" She nodded as I scooped her up and transformed, racing into the swirling vortex.

Hope's P.O.V

For some reason, I couldn't sleep. No matter how long I lay in bed with my eyes closed, mentally hoping sleep would over take me... Nothing ever happened. So that's how I now find myself walking aimlessly throughout the base.

Every bot except Ratchet was in recharge, and I didn't feel like bothering the old grump this late at night. With a sigh, I turned the corner ahead of me. Surprise, Surprise, another metal hallway with large doors.

My wings were out, lazily dragging against the cool floor as I walked. After the flight on the Jackhammer earlier, I decided to fly around a bit, despite Ratchets warnings. I just couldn't take it anymore. And now, I felt like soaring through the sky again, staring up at the moon and gazing at the stars.

It sounds cheesy, but what would you do if you had wings? Stay on the ground forever and never wonder how beautiful a sunset is thousands of feet in the air? Beautiful, by the way. I wonder what Cybertrons sunsets look like...

A large bang interrupted my thoughts, making me jump and squeak a bit. I glanced around the hallway, only to find a large open door leading to a room with its lights on. Eyebrow raised, I slowly made my way to the door, wondering who else was up this late at night.

Much to my surprise, I found Ryan inside of the room, throwing random punches and kicks to the air. He ducked, as if someone was attacking him with fists before jumping backwards and doing several back handsprings.

My mouth fell open, and I was too stunned to say anything. He looked so gracefully and light. After a few minutes, Ryan cursed and stopped what he was doing, turning towards a punching bag and hitting it a few times with his bare fists.

I gasped when he let out a large angry cry of rage and hit the bag so hard it went flying off of its support. He growled angrily and kicked the fallen bag. His tense muscles relaxed after a few minutes of just staring at the bag before he finally turned.

His eyes met mine and I bit my lip in nervousness.

He paused for a moment before making a small smile. "H-hope? What are you doing up so late at night?" he asked wearily while picking up the bag and tossing it to the side. I have to admit, for someone his age, he was actually pretty strong.

"I could be asking you the same question." I eyed his bruised knuckles as he grew closer.

He chuckled. "I asked you first."

"I couldn't sleep, and I just decided to take a walk... are you okay? Your hands are hurt." I pointed to his hands and he glanced down at them.

"Nah, i'm fine. They don't hurt." he sat down on a nearby bench and I did the same.

"Okay..." He wrapped a few white bandages over his hands and we sat there in silence. And not just a normal, peaceful silence. The really awkward kind that makes you want to pull your hair out and scream.

Though I made up with my brother, and he forgave me for denying him as to being my sibling, I never actually found any time to spend time with him. I'm always at school or with Wheeljack.

We may be close by each other, but we never interact. Ryan cleared his throat and glanced at me. "So... I have a question, if you don't mind me asking."

I returned his glance. "Which would be...?" He let out a sigh.

"Could we maybe start over and become siblings again?" a pained expression crossed his face. "I never talk to you, and it hurts because I'm starting to remember, Hope. I remember what Silas made me forget."

Silas' name made me shudder. He is a close second to my list of most hated beings on the face of the earth. The top person is Macen, of course. "I just want to be close to you like we used to be. I might have been young, but it was still something, you know? And I never had friends when I was with Silas... It was always work with him. It killed me."

He clenched his fist and sighed. I took his hand in mine. "I would like to get to know you better, if that's alright." I whispered. "I never got to know you. The you now, I mean." I chuckled. "I know your incredibly smart and your my brother, but that's it."

His smile turned playful. "You should know that I have many distinct and amazing qualities, my dear sister." I giggled.

"And what would that be, dear brother?" I asked. He stood and smirked down at me.

"For one, I am Incredibly smart and handsome."

"you sure about that?" I mused. He looked at me in mock hurt.

"How could you even say that to me, Hope? It hurts. It really hurts." he pounded his chest with one fist and sucked in a breath.

"I'm sorry to crush your ego." I chuckled. "I have a quick question. What was all that you were doing earlier? You can fight?" I questioned. He nodded, smirking at me again.

"One of my many talents." he boasted. I tilted my head to one side.

"How did you learn to fight?" his face dropped and he sighed. He sat on the ground, criss crossing his legs and tucking them close to his body.

"Silas. He taught me at a young age. iT came to the point where I was literally the most qualified soldier on the entire M.E.C.H force... I'm not all proud of that. But I am happy to know I can beat anyone up who deserves it. So, dear sister, if you are ever needing my assistance, I am always here for you."

I smiled at him. "Thanks, Ryan..." my thoughts immediately went to Vince. I shuddered and pushed the thoughts away before glancing at him again. "I was actually wondering... could you teach me how? To fight, I mean. Wheeljack is teaching me self defense right now, but it would be cool to actually learn how to fight."

He looked at me, a smile spreading across his face. "Of course. " I pumped my fists into the air.

"Yes!"

"We can start in two days. I would say we could do it tomorrow, but me and Smokescreen have some plans." I gave him a look.

"You and smokescreen?" I questioned. He nodded.

"He's my guardian. And I'm supposed to show him around Jasper. Tell him how road rules work. How not to transform in front of others, yada yada yada." I smiled at him before yawning. He frowned at me.

"You should get some sleep." I nodded in agreement but pointed a finger at him.

"you do the same, mister." He saluted me.
             "Yes, ma'am

With a small laugh, I stepped away from him and began my way back to bed, a large grin on
my face.
            I have my brother back.
