*Wyatt's POV*

(Y/N) took my hand, smiling—her fangs shown brightly in the moonlight, which made me smile. Holding hands, we jumped down the hill together.

"That was so cool!" Her face lit up, "we just jumped down like 20 feet!"

I just laughed, "we can do so much more than jump. But come on, we need to get the pack."

I started to pull her by her hand. She caught up and started walking by my side. I glanced at her out of the corner of my eye and smiled at her cheery face. We walked inside the den together hand in hand. My hand felt cold once she let go to talk to Willa, who was in the back. I looked at my hand, remembering how warm hers was, I didn't realize how happy it made me until she left. Wynter walked up to me with a smile on her face.

"So Wyatt, ya got the wags for the Great Alpha?"

(So, since they're werewolves and they have some of their own slag, I wanted to make something up for when a wolf likes another wolf. And wolves wag their tails when they're happy. So if werewolves had a tails, it would be wagging around that wolf. So they call it 'the wags' instead of 'the hots')

Heat rose to my face, "I do not have the wags for anywolf!"

Both Wynnifer and Olyvia came over to us and stood behind Wynter.

"Ya totally have the wags!" Olyvia smiled.

"Mhmm." Wynter and Wynnifer nodded their heads together, smirking.

"You girls don't know what you're talkin' 'bout." I cross my arms.

"It only makes sense," Wynnifer shrugged, "since you've been obsessed with finding the Great Alpha, it's like you've had a paw on her your whole life!"

('paw' is the equivalent of crush. I'm making this up as I go. I got inspired after watching a video of a dog putting its paw on his favorite toy whenever his owner asked who was his best friend. When a wolf had a 'paw' on somewolf it signifies that the other wolf if their favorite wolf)

"I do NOT have a paw on anywolf or the wags!" I snapped.

(Y/N) is the Great Alpha, she's nothing more and nothing less. I walked away from them, my face cooling down. I couldn't help but think about what they said.

'I do not have a paw on (Y/N); she's just the Great Alpha. I'm happy around her because she's gonna save the pack.' I nodded to myself with this conclusion.

'Yes, all I'm doin' is welcoming her to the pack. We're as close as any other wolf here.' I sighed a breath of relief.

(Y/N) and I are pack mates. She'll lead us to the moonstone and heal our pack, and she'll become the new alpha.

"Gah!!"

I was abruptly taken from my thoughts as I bumped into somewolf, then I saw it was (Y/N).

"Sorry Wyatt, I didn't see ya!" She apologizes while rubbing the back of her head, and her face grew into a slightly darker shade.

My heart skipped a beat seeing her blush, and it made me think about what the girls were talking about. I felt heat come rushing back to my face.

"I-it's okay! I should have been payin' attention." My mind was a mess, and my heart was racing.

'What's wrong with me?! If it weren't for those girls, I would've been fine!' I thought angrily.

"Wyatt, are you okay?" (Y/N) lightly touched my shoulder, making me jump. My heart was beating faster.

"Yup! Just comin' to see if ya found Willa," I saw Willa come out from behind (Y/N), "and ya did! Great, let's go."

As I hurried off, I heard Willa ask, "What was that about?"

(Y/N) replied, "I don't know..."

My face was burning, and I quickly made my way outside. I stood there for a second, then shook my head. I clutched the fabric of my shirt around my chest. My heart was still beating uncontrollably as I huffed.

"Aw nuts," I muttered as I looked up at the full moon, "I do have a paw."

"You just realized?" Willa came out of the den alone.

I looked at her, shocked, "you knew?"

"I'd have to be a human not to notice, even then I'm sure they can tell too. You're that obvious." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.

I gasped, running over to her and grabbed her by the shoulders, "Do you think (Y/N) knows?"

Willa looked at me like I was crazy, "Calm down, brother, you're acting like a crazy wolf." She brushed my hands off her, "but judging by the way (Y/N) looks at you. She does."

My face flustered, I put my hands on my cheeks, "What am I gonna do?"

"Just tell her, she obviously likes you back."

"Really?" I perked up, my heart skipped.

"You two are so obvious it makes me sick."

Suddenly, "what are ya wolves talkin' about?" (Y/N) came out of the den along with the pack.

"Just tal-"

"Just talkin' about the plans!" I cut Willa off and stood in front of (Y/N).

'I'm not trusting Willa, for all I know she's just trying to get a good howl by making a joke outta me.'

(Y/N) smiled sweetly, "Oh, okay! We'll have to go through Zombietown to get to the power plant."

"Alright! To Zombietown, we go!"

Willa growled slightly at me but joined (Y/N) and me as we led the pack out of the woods. We came to the broken gates and Willa, and I held them open enough for everyone to go through as (Y/N) led the pack through. We joined her in the front afterward. I ignored Wynter as she gave me a smug look.

"We'll have to be cautious," (Y/N) warned, "The Z-Patrol will be everywhere. We'll need to split up."

We all nodded.

"See that big building?" She pointed to the biggest building in the run-down town, "we'll meet there. Split into groups of 2-4. And break!"

We all went off in groups. Willa and Wynter went off with some of the others as I went with (Y/N).

We ran through the allies, in between houses and shops. We came up to a home with the lights on, she stopped and stared at it.

"Come on!" I whispered to her, once I saw she wasn't budging, I went by her side and looked at the house.

"This is....was my home. I didn't think about my parents when I chose to become a wolf." She had a sad look on her face.

"You're parents, huh?" I put my thumbs through my belt loops, "well, we got some time. Wanna drop in?"

She looked at me, wide-eyed, "Can we?"

I smiled at her, "of course!"

'Anything for you.' I blushed slightly as I thought this, I was starting to accept the fact I have a slight paw on (Y/N).

We made our way up the steps (Y/N) took a deep breath as she put her hand on the door handle.
