Chapter 3: The Den
*3rd POV*
Wyatt made his way through the broken gate, past the run-down building, and through the forest swiftly. Once he got to the wolf den, he started removing his disguises, put his moonstone necklace back on, and let his pack mates apply his wolf marking back on his face.
*Wyatt's POV*
I feel the moonstone's power flow through me as I bare my fangs. It was weaker than before.
"Well? What did you find out?" Willa asked as if she's done nothing wrong.
"You were seen howling Willa," I was irritated, she can be so careless sometimes.
"Hah!" Willa kept eye contact as she walked closer to me, " Stop being a worry-wolf brother, I was only saying Ahwooo! It's like saying 'hello' or 'chow' or 'I'll rip your throat out.'"
I knew there was no point arguing with her, so I sighed, "We need to get the great alpha to help us find the moonstone."
"If there even is one!" She snapped, everyone around took a step back.
"She was spotted in the woods-"
"There were two girls, and besides, it could have just been the light." She snarled.
"She's real! I saw her again in town. She had white hair, she had..." My mind wandered back to when (Y/N) ran into me. The first thing I noticed was her scent...it was a smell I never smelled before. Sure, there is another girl with white hair, but I know (Y/N) is the great alpha. Her scent made me pretty sure, but the fact she heard me mutter proved it. As a wolf we've learned to mutter quietly because of our kine sense of hearing, only another wolf can listen to us mutter, and her confusion proves she heard me mutter, that's how I know-
"Wyatt!! Earth to Wyatt!!" Willa was waving her hand in front of my face.
I shook my head, surprised, "Sorry, I guess I just got lost in thought."
"Okay?" Willa obviously didn't care, "as you were saying?"
"Right! Her scent, she doesn't smell like a human. She's the great alpha, Willa. I just know it. We have to go to town to get her."
Willa made a disgusted face, "I hate that town. It's full of terrible people."
'Well, they'll agree on something...' I thought back to (Y/N)'s face, how I could sense her anger toward them, "Willa, you know we're running out of time." Now I was starting to get angry, "more and more from our pack are getting sick as our necklaces weaken."
Wynter piped in, "We do need the moonstone! So we can recharge our necklaces and remain wolf-strong for another, one hundred years..." The other wolves around yipped in agreement with what she said.
"Okay," Willa was finally giving in, I felt relief wash over me, "how do we even find her, if, she is the great alpha?" Her emphasis on 'if' and 'is' made me sigh.
"I found this in the woods," I pulled out the piece of fabric, "it's hers."
Wynter, all hyper, jumps in, "We can use our kine sense of smell to track her down!"
I just looked at her, "Weelll," I gradually look back towards Willa, "it says Seabrook high on it. So why don't we just go to the place with the same words?"
Willa groaned in annoyance while Wynter looked at me with a face that said, that-makes-more-sense.
"Great!" I smiled at the thought of being able to bring (Y/N) to the den, "we'll go tomorrow morning!"
"We go tonight!" Glaring at me, Willa jerked her head up.
"Orrr tonight works." Willa will never cease to amaze me how much she loves rubbing it in my face that she's the alpha.
The pack howls as the acknowledge Willa's decision.
(((It has come to my attention that the second video might not work for everyone, the video is We Own The Night. I could only find the lyrics and not another video, I apologize for the inconvenience and please enjoy)))
As we run through the school, Willa runs to a metal panel and opens it, "We'll hide here for tonight than find the girl, get our moonstone, and leave this awful school." She spat.
I inhaled, "Well. I wouldn't call it awful..." I give her a smirk as she looks at me, I could just hear her thinking 'are you serious?'
"They have something called Froyo!" I smiled at her. Willa just rolled her eyes at me and joined the pack in the tunnels.
I sighed and just nodded my head talking to myself, "Yep, you're right. This place is the worst."
I quickly glance around before I get in the vent and close the metal panel behind me.
