Chapter 11: What Friends Are For

*Izzy's POV*

I woke up to the sound of howling. I scrambled to my window and opened it. It was coming from the power plant. I saw Z-Patrol cars drive towards it.

"The werewolves!"  I panicked and quickly got dressed.

(Y/N) told me she was going to meet the wolves tonight, and I can only pray she didn't go with them to the power plant. I ran downstairs, my dad was asleep, and he sleeps sounder then the dead. I ran to (Y/N) house, sure I've never gone inside, but we live across the street.

I pounded on their door for at least a minute before her dad opened the door.

"Izzy? What are you doing at this time of night?" He asked, but I ignored him.

"Please tell me (Y/N) is here."

"I'm sorry, but she had to do something with the wolves." He leaned on the door frame, "why?"

"Because the Z-Patrol just went to the power plant where I heard wolves howling!"

His face was a ghostly white, "she's with them." He whispered.

I quickly ran off to get Zed, Eliza, and Bonzo, we never really talk, but I knew they would help. And I knew Zed would get Addison. I started banging on Eliza's door. Once she opened the door, I explained.

"The wolves are at the power plant, the Z-Patrol are there and are going to capture them!" I told her.

"And what does this have to do with me?" She asked.

"Eliza, (Y/N) is with them!"

"Aw snap!" She went back inside and got dressed, once she came back out, she looked at me, "We're going to need everyone."

We went off in separate directions, going to different houses to get zombies to help (Y/N) and the werewolves.

*(Y/N) POV*

We turned around, and there stood the Z-Patrol, all around us, along with the demolition crew. We backed up against the moonstone, except me. I saw Mr. Wells there, Addison's father. I stepped towards him.

"Mr. Wells, remember me?" I asked casually.

"You're that other girl, (Y/N). What are you doing here with them?" He yelled.

I growled at him, "I'm here because this is who I am! I am a werewolf. And these are my people. All we came for is this stone, and we were about to leave!"

"You're not going anywhere!" He waved his hand at me.

Two of the guards came out of nowhere and snatched me.

"(Y/N)!!" Wyatt yelled, his eyes glowed gold as he growled at the guards around him.

I struggled against the guards, but they shoved me against a chain-linked fence as they cuffed my hands behind my back. They held me by the arms as I was forced to watch my pack, but I didn't stop fighting and flailing around.

"Wolves!" Willa called, their eyes glowed gold as their moonstones glowed blue.

(I learned my lesson, and *sigh* I hate to do this, but it won't be as enjoyable if I write it and you don't have any music. So, now all you have to do is pretend Addison is wearing her light blue outfit and that Eliza is Izzy. I hope you enjoy it! I think we all love this song anyway :) Oh! And the moonstone is off to the side somewhere)

I felt tears roll down my cheeks as I gawked at them. Izzy, Zed, Eliza, Addison. Almost everyone from school was there, and they came to stop Seabrook from locking us away. I was so happy and thankful for them. I looked around at my fellow cuffed wolves. I could tell they were also satisfied as they cheered for them all. Wyatt, Willa, and Wynter were in front of the pack while I was in the back since I was the first caught.

"Dad! You can't do this to the werewolves! They're people just like us!" Addison went up to her father. He huffed as a thin line formed at his mouth.

"Dad, please, I know you worked hard for this job, but the wolves don't deserve this. (Y/N) and her parents don't deserve this." Zed also went up to his dad, who sighed and agreed with his son.

"You're right, Zed, if (Y/N) wasn't with them, I wouldn't agree, but the Zambia's shouldn't watch their only child be locked away." He turned to Mr. Wells, "We need to let them go, sir."

Addison's dad sighed, "You're right....you're all right." He turned to the officers and held up his hands, "let them go."

Freedom never tasted so sweet as the cuffs were taken off my wrists. I quickly looked around for Wyatt among the cheery chaos; at the same time, he was looking for me. Once we saw each other, Wyatt and I ran up and wrapped our arms around each other in a tight embrace, laughing. The pack was also celebrating. We just got our moonstone back, which meant our pack back in the den was going to be saved.

Once I realized what I was doing, I began to let him go slightly flustered, "Sorry, I-"

"(Y/N) you don't have to be sorry for anything." Wyatt grinned with his eyes closed, my heart fluttered, seeing how happy he was.

"(Y/N/N)!!!" Izzy ran up to Wyatt and me and shoved her way between us, "you have to share boi!!"

"Izzy! You're the best! I know you were behind this!" I squeezed her back. We were hopping up and down together, Wyatt just backed away to give us space.

"Of course, girl! What are friends for?" She pulled away too look me in the eyes, still hugging me, "but you are so lucky I don't kill you. Do you know how anxious I was?"

I laughed nervously, "But, I'm fine now because you made sure I was safe?"

She sighed, "I know, and I had a lot of fun doing it- wait a minute." She pushed my hair out of the way and looked at my ears, "what's wrong with your ears?"

"Yeah, about that... I'm a werewolf now, I put on the necklace and transformed." I beamed at her, "This is who I'm supposed to be."

"Are ya sure it's not simply because of fuzzy head over there?" She jabbed her thumb over her shoulder.

I turned red and covered her mouth, "Yes, I'm sure! Trust me, when I was with them, I just felt like I belonged, okay?"

She peeled off my hand and smiled softly, "well, I know how long you've wished to find your place. So I'll be happy for you, but if anything dubious happens, just tell me, I won't be afraid to go full zombie on him." She whispered to me.

Laughing nervously again, "don't worry, I'll tell you."

She finally let me go; we all walked over to the moonstone.

"We're gonna need some help!" I cried out to the others standing around.

They gathered around and helped us all get the stone out of the power plant. We managed to get it to the edge of the woods before one of the demolition crew guys came running up.

"Boss! Boss!" He huffed, "I can't get the remote to turn off!"

They argued about it for maybe thirty seconds before several other bangs followed a loud explosion rang through the air as the old power plant crumpled to the ground.

"At least we got the moonstone," Wynter said.

The pack agreed with her. I walked up to Addison and Zed.

"Thank you both for assisting us, but I'm afraid this is as close as we can take you to the den. Maybe another night after I make sure everywolf is okay with visitors." I explained to them

"We're just glad to have helped," Zed pat my shoulder roughly, "Hey guys! Let's go!" And with that, the zombies left.

"Take care (Y/N/N)." Izzy gave me one last hug before heading home.

"You better invite us soon (Y/N)!" Addison hugged me, "and I love your new look! Did the wolves do everything?"

I giggled, "Yup! We're the best at hair." I tossed my white locks over my shoulder.

"And we know manicures!" Wynter said, holding out her nails, and the pack nodded in agreement.

"Mhmm!"

"See ya (Y/N)!" And with that, the rest of the crowd dispersed.

I whirled around to face my pack; they all stood there waiting for me to tell them the next move. I smiled at the wolves, Wyatt was the only one who's fangs sparkled in the moonlight the most, he way only his could.

I howled, the pack happily joined in. It felt so right.

"Let's take the moonstone back and heal our pack!" I yelled, they all cheered in agreement.

We all picked up the stone and carried it back to the den. There wasn't much conversation as it took most of our strength. Once we brought the moonstone inside. Wolves were running left and right recharging moonstones of the sick. I walked up the stairs and watched as I leaned on the railings. I grinned at them, and I could feel my pack strength return. It was a marvelous feeling. Wyatt made his way up to me.

We smiled at as other as he came up to me, "Hey there, great alpha, looks like you did it."

"Yeah, I can't believe it, " I looked back out over the pack.

"So, ready to officially become part of the pack?" Wyatt's eyes twinkle.

"Sure!" I grinned.
