Here's the playlist for this chapter: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIEMZ5a__jygXGz_Md5nWe2mmFcUOOTdj

This is gonna be a long one, (4025 WORDS).

Izuku gets up immediately and hugs his best friend, who obviously hugs him back. When they pull away, You Have Been Loved by Sia comes on the speakers. Everyone who was paired up together get into position and begin to slow dance. Izuku and (Y/N) though, they look like they're about to pass out. The green-haired boy's face is bright red, while (Y/N) looks as white as a ghost. Eventually, Denki and Kyoka (who got paired together) dance close to the two lovebirds and push them together.

Shyly, Izuku wraps his hands around her waist, while (Y/N) places her hands on his shoulders. They move in sync slowly with the song. Other pairs are talking with each other, while (Y/N) and Izuku are as silent as a hospital room. Eventually, one speaks up.

"Why?"

(Y/N) glances up immediately at Izuku, "Why what?"

"Why are you doing this?" he asks.

"What do you mean, Izu-chan?"

"Why are you...helping me?"

Shocked by the question, (Y/N) looks away with a red face, "I-I'll tell you later."

Although confused, Izuku nods and the two continue to dance.

"We'll be going to Disneyworld the week of your birthday, by the way." (Y/N) says to break the silence, "If you want to go, of course."

"Yes, I would love to go. T-Thank you again for the gift."

The two smile, as Sia's song ends and Denki stands back on the stage.

"Alright everyone, it's time to announce the winners of the rapping contest!" He says, "I never mentioned, but the winner also earns 1,000 yen!"

The group cheers and Denki calms them down before speaking the name of the winner(s), "And the winner is...(L/N) and Yayorozu!"

The class cheers even more, clapping as the (H/C)-haired girl is called to the stage and receives the 1,000 yen. When everyone calms down again, it's time for the boys versus girls contest. The two genders split and begin to discuss their chosen songs. They've been instructed to pick at least two in case the first one does not make them win. The two judges are Denki and Kyoka. They give the teams ten minutes, and when it's over, it's time to sing.

The boys go first, their chosen song is I Want it That Way by The Backstreet Boys.

The two groups stand facing each other on the large stage, both got mics in nearby and are ready to sing.

"Yeah!" All the boys sing.

Hanta, though, is the first boy to sing the real lyrics, "You are my fire, the one desire. Believe when I say, I want it that way."

Eijiro takes over, "But we are two worlds apart, can't reach to your heart. When you say, that I want it that way."

The rest of the boys sing together in harmony, "Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a heartache. Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a mistake. Tell me why, I never want to hear you say. I want it that way."

Now Tenya sings, "Am I, your fire? Your one, desire. Yes I know, it's too late, but I want it that way."

The rest of the boys join in, "Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a heartache. Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a mistake. Tell me why, I never want to hear you say. I want it that way."

Izuku takes over, "Now I can see that we've fallen apart, from the way that it used to be, yeah. No matter the distance, I want you to know, that deep down inside of me~!"

Katsuki also does his own solo, "You are my fire, the one desire! You are."

The other boys slowly join in, "You are, you are, you are~! Don't want to hear you say. Ain't nothin' but a heartache, ain't nothin' but a mistake. Don't want to hear you say, I never want to hear you say. I want it that way. Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a heartache. Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a mistake. Tell me why, I never want to hear you say. I want it that way. Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a heartache, ain't nothin' but a mistake. Tell me why, I never want to hear you say. Never want to hear you say it~! I want it that way."

Izuku ends the song, "'Cause I want it that way~."

The girls clap slowly, smirking and telling Kyoka to start their song, which is Trouble by Neon Jungle.

The groups starts singing together on the first few lyrics, "I don't look for trouble, but trouble looks for me. And it's been waiting around corners, since I was seventeen. They say "Here comes a hurricane, trouble is her middle name!" But I don't look for trouble, yeah, trouble looks for me. Hey hey!"

Momo sings the first 'solo', "I just want to live a quiet life, I'll make an excellent wife. Man, I swear, I really try. But some boys they just can't eat it whole, trouble is my name you know."

The other girls join in, "Trouble is my name you know. I don't look for trouble, but trouble looks for me. And it's been waiting around corners, since I was seventeen. They say "Here comes a hurricane, trouble is her middle name!" But I don't look for trouble yeah, trouble looks for me.
Hey hey!"

Mina and (Y/N) sing these lyrics together, "I don't look for trouble, but trouble looks for me. And it's been waiting around corners, since I was seventeen. They say that you, got so many sides. I'm a Gemini, but I don't look for trouble, yeah, trouble looks for me."

(Y/N) drops out of the song for a second, allowing Mina to rap these lyrics, "Lights up let's have a toke. Pour more whiskey in my Coke. Never been one of the herd, flipping everyone the bird. People say that I am heartless, I've just learned to use my heart less. I go hard 'cause I'm the hardest, and we ain't even started yet!"

As the beat drop approaches, the girls are jumping and dancing all around like they are the crowd instead of the singers, "Trouble! I don't look for trouble, but trouble looks for me. And it's been waiting around corners, since I was seventeen. They say "Here comes a hurricane, trouble is her middle name!" But I don't look for trouble, yeah, trouble looks for me."

(Y/N) is the final singer, "Trouble!"

The girls take deep breaths and the two judges ask everyone to step off the stage, while they decide the winners. After five minutes, they speak.

"We cannot choose between you two groups, so there will be a second round, this time, though, the girls will be going first!" Denki announces.

Their second song is Little Me by Little Mix.

(Y/N) sings the first lyrics.

"She lives in the shadow of a lonely girl. Voice so quiet you don't hear a word. Always talking but she can't be heard. You can see her there if you catch her eye. I know she's brave but it's trapped inside. Scared to talk but she don't know why. Wish I knew back then what I know now. Wish I could somehow go back in time, and maybe listen to my own advice."

The rest of the girls join in, "I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder. Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn't see. You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out. And know that right here, right now, you can be beautiful, wonderful, anything you wanna be,~ little me~."

Now Momo sings, "Yeah, you gotta lotta time to act your age. You can't write a book from a single page. Hands-on the clock only turn one way. Run too fast and you'll risk it all. Can't be afraid to take a fall. Felt so big but she looks so small."

Momo and (Y/N) sing together, "Wish I knew back then what I know now. Wish I could somehow go back in time. And maybe listen to my own advice."

The rest of the girls join in once more, "I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder. Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn't see. You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out. And know that right here, right now. You can be beautiful, wonderful, anything you wanna be."

(Y/N) hits the high notes in the background as the melody plays and the other girls get ready to join back in, "Oh, little me~. Little me, yeah~. I'll tell you one thing I would say to her~!"

They come back in a few moments later, "I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder. Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn't see. You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out. And know that right here, right now. You can be beautiful, wonderful, anything you wanna be. I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder. Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn't see. You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out. And know that right here, right now. You can be beautiful, wonderful, anything you wanna be. I'll tell you one thing I would say to her."

They all begin to clap, "I'd tell her to speak up, tell her to shout out. Talk a bit louder, be a bit prouder. Tell her she's beautiful, wonderful, everything she doesn't see. You gotta speak up, you gotta shout out. And know that right here, right now. You can be beautiful, wonderful, anything you wanna be."

"Ahh~ little me~!" (Y/N) finishes.

(I KNOW WHERE YOUR MIND WENT, DON'T SAY SHIT!)

Without even waiting for the boys to do their song, Denki and Kyoka announce that the girls are the winners of this Boys versus Girls contest. The girls high-five each other, teasing the boys, and then Denki calms them down to speak.

"Now, there are no more contests." He says, "The rest of this party will be like any other, full of music from our playlist of Midoryia-kun's favorite songs, or other chosen by the planners. There will be many slow songs, so get ready to dance with your partners! Have fun and enjoy!"

As Denki and Kyoka step off the stage, High Hopes - Panic! At The Disco starts to play. Immediately, the students of class 1-A begin to dance and sing to it. Izuku watches his classmates with a smile. All of them seem to be having the best night of their lives. Eventually, a circle of dancing students forms in the middle of the dancefloor. They take turns dancing in the middle as many other songs, like Come & Get it by Selena Gomez, Burn the House Down by AJR, and Raise Your Glass by P!nk play from the chosen playlist. When those songs are over, time seems to stop.

Izuku glances to his right, where there is (Y/N). She's dancing with Ochaco and Tenya, as well as some other Yuuei students nearby. Somebody to You by BANNERS plays in the background, as the green-haired boy stares at his best friend in awe. Her hair bounces as she dances to the beat of the song, and a smile plasters itself across her face. She seems so happy, even with everything that's happened to her. It makes Izuku smile as well. Eventually, Ochaco notices this and pulls the green-haired boy into their little circle. Seeing (Y/N) and everyone else in such a happy mood, Izuku forgets about his anxiety, social issues, everything that made him hate himself since Katsuki started bullying him in school; and he just dances.

When that song is over, the music dies down and Denki takes the stage once again.

"Time for some karaoke, again!" He says, if anyone wishes to sing, please sign up with the sheet near the food table with your name and song you wish to sing! We'll give you five minutes! Oh, and we will play the other slow songs after all the singers are done, then that will be the end of this party!"

During the five minutes, Kill the Director by The Wombats plays. A few students create a line by the sheet to sign-up, while others are eating, chatting, or dancing with friends. After the five minutes, Denki calls up the first singer...himself? He's singing Come My Way by PLVTINUM.

"Baby, girl, would you come my way? Tell me all the things, that you wanna say. Baby, girl, you can say my name, show me all the ways, you can move that thing. I don't wanna take nowhere, I don't wanna waste your time. Baby, girl, would you come my way? Baby, girl, would come for me? Baila, conmigo. Anoche, contigo. I wanna feel you against me. All night, bodies connecting. Baby, girl, yeah. We can get it in. I can be temptation. You can be my sin. I want the rush of your heartbeat. Those eyes, I know that you want me. Baby, girl, would you come my way?. Tell me all the things, that you wanna say. Baby, girl, you can say my name. Show me all the ways, you can move that thing. I don't wanna take nowhere. I don't wanna waste your time. Baby, girl, would you come my way. Baby, girl, would come for me. Vamos, fiesta. I want you, señorita. I'm gonna kiss all your body. Sharp breath, gripping the bed sheet. Baby, girl, yeah, I'mma put it in. I can make your bed shake. I can be your sin. Your hands scratching against me, one look, I know that you want me."

The class cheer for the blond boy, making him grin, "Baby, girl, would you come my way?. Tell me all the things, that you wanna say. Baby, girl, you can say my name. Show me all the ways, you can move that thing. I don't wanna take it nowhere. I don't wanna waste your time. Baby, girl, would you come my way. Baby, girl, would come for me."

After some instrumental parts and some backup lyrics, he continues, "Baby, girl, would you come my way?. Tell me all the things, that you wanna say. Baby, girl, you can say my name. Show me all the ways, you can move that thing. I don't wanna take nowhere. I don't wanna waste your time. Baby, girl, would you come my way. Baby, girl, would come for me?"

When the song is over, it's Kyoka's turn to sing. She chose How to Be a Heartbreaker by MARINA and the Diamonds.

Immediately, when the melody starts, the girls recognize the song and begin to sing along with their classmate, "Rule number one, is that you gotta have fun. But baby when you're done, you gotta be the first to run. Rule number two, just don't get attached to, somebody you could lose. So le-let me tell you. This is how to be a heartbreaker. Boys, they like a little danger. We'll get him falling for a stranger; a player, singing I lo-lo-love you. How to be a heartbreaker. Boys, they like the look of danger. We'll get him falling for a stranger; a player, singing I lo-lo-love you, at least, I think I do. 'Cause I lo-lo-lo-love you. Rule number three, wear your heart on your cheek. But never on your sleeve, unless you wanna taste defeat. Rule number four, gotta be looking pure, kiss him goodbye at the door, and leave him wanting more, more. 'Cause I lo-lo-love you."

Almost in sync, the girls sing, "Girls, we do, whatever it will take. 'Cause girls don't want, we don't want our hearts to break, in two. So it's better to be fake, can't risk losing, in love again, ba-abe. This is how to be a heartbreaker. Boys, they like a little danger. We'll get him falling for a stranger; a player, singing I lo-lo-love you. How to be a heartbreaker. Boys, they like the look of danger. We'll get him falling for a stranger; a player, singing I lo-lo-love you. 'Cause I lo-lo-lo-love you, at least, I think I do."

Claps and cheers erupt from the class, and the next singer steps up on stage, it's Momo, with her song What Love Really Means by JJ Heller.

"He cries in the corner where nobody sees. He's the kid with the story no one would believe. He prays every night, "Dear God won't you please, could you send someone here who will love me?" Who will love me for me. Not for what I have done or what I will become. Who will love me for me. 'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means. Her office is shrinking a little each day. She's the woman whose husband has run away. She'll go to the gym after working today. Maybe if she was thinner, then he would've stayed And she says... who will love me for me. Not for what I have done or what I will become. Who will love me for me. 'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means. He's waiting to die as he sits all alone. He's a man in a cell who regrets what he's done. He utters a cry from the depths of his soul, "Oh Lord, forgive me, I want to go home." Then he heard a voice, somewhere deep inside. And it said, "I know you've murdered and I know you've lied. And I have watched you suffer all of your life. And now that you'll listen, I'll tell you that I..." I will love you for you. Not for what you have done or what you will become. I will love you for you I will give you the love, the love that you never knew. I will love you for you. Not for what you have done or what you will become. I will love you for you, I will give you the love, the love that you never knew."

Right after her is Shoto, singing Can I Be Him by James Arthur, "You walked into the room and now my heart has been stolen. You took me back in time to when I was unbroken. Now you're all I want, and I knew it from the very first moment. 'Cause a light came on when I heard that song and I want you to sing it again. I swear that every word you sing, you wrote them for me. Like it was a private show, I know you never saw me. When the lights come on and I'm on my own, will you be there to sing it again? Could I be the one you talk about in all your stories? Can I be him? I heard there was someone but I know he don't deserve you. If you were mine I'd never let anyone hurt you, no, no. I wanna dry those tears, kiss those lips. It's all that I've been thinking about. 'Cause a light came on when I heard that song and I want you to sing it again. I swear that every word you sing, you wrote them for me. Like it was a private show, but I know you never saw me. When the lights come on and I'm on my own, will you be there to sing it again? Could I be the one you talk about in all your stories? Can I be the one? Can I be the one? Can I be the one? Oh, can I, can I be him? Won't you sing it again? Oh, when you sing it again, can I be him? Oh, sing it again, yeah. Oh, when you sing it again, can I be him? I swear that every word you sang, you wrote 'em for me. Like it was a private show, but I know you never saw me. When the lights come on and I'm on my own, will you be there, will you be there? Can I be the one you talk about in all your stories? Can I be him? Can I be him? Can I be him? Can I be him?"

For the final singer, it's Izuku, and he's singing, Best Friend by Rex Orange Country.

"I should've stayed at home, 'cause right now I see all these people that love me, but I still feel alone; can't help but check my phone. I could've made you mine. But no, it wasn't meant to be and see, I wasn't made for you, and you weren't made for me. Though it seemed so easy. And that's because I wanna be your favorite boy, I wanna be the one that makes your day; the one you think about as you lie awake. I can't wait to be your number one. I'll be your biggest fan and you'll be mine, but I still wanna break your heart and make you cry. But won't you wait, you know it's too late. I'm on my own shit now. Let me tell you how it feels to be fucking great, I feel great. Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. You need to be yourself, love someone for loving you instead of someone really cool, that makes your heart melt. Who knows what you truly felt? You're still my favorite girl, you better trust me when I tell you, there ain't no one else more beautiful in this damn world, in this damn world. You're gonna wanna be my best friend, baby. You're gonna wanna be my best friend. I said that, you're gonna wanna be my best friend, baby. You're gonna wanna be my best friend. You're gonna wanna be my best friend, baby. You're gonna wanna be my best friend. Best friend. You're gonna wanna be my best friend, baby. You're gonna wanna be my best friend. I say that I'm happy, I say that I'm happy. But no, no, no, no. No, no, no, oh. I still wanna be your favorite boy. I wanna be the one that makes your day, the one you think about as you lie awake. And I can't wait to be your number, your number one. I'll be your biggest fan and you'll be mine, but I still wanna break your heart and make you cry."
For the rest of the instrumental parts of the song, class 1-A bobs their heads to the beat until Izuku finishes the song, "I still wanna be your favorite boy, I wanna be the one, I might just be the one."

Despite the obvious message in the song, (Y/N) is clueless to Izuku's true intentions. Many slow songs play from the chosen playlist, but one that sticks out to (Y/N) and Izuku is The Night We Met by Lord Huron. It reminds them of the night that (Y/N) discovered her 'parents' weren't biological, and when she lost her brother, almost losing Izuku in the process. They turn to each other as other pairs of students are already dancing, silently agreeing that this slow song was not one they would dance together with. Instead, they floated in the memories of those who no longer exist in this world.

When the song ends, so does the party. "Thank you, everyone, for coming!" (Y/N) and Denki say from the stage, "Happy birthday again Midoryia-kun, have a fun summer and we'll see you all when summer's over!"

Everyone says goodbye and exit.

Izuku's birthday party was one that the students would never forget. Well...most of them.
