Reader POV

Well, everyone took my arrival better than expected, I'm being introduced to the village tomorrow and-

CRASH!

I jumped and let out a small scream waking up.

It was pouring, there wasn't even the slightest bit light. Except for the flashes of lightning every now and then.

Usually storms don't bother me, but when you actually see lightning hit the ground it's pretty scary.

My scream woke Hiccup up.

"Since when we're you scared of storms?"

"I don't know- ah!"

I jumped as thunder rang through the air.

Hiccup sat up slightly and hugged me.

I snuggled up to him and hugged him tightly with fear.

"Hey its ok, I know storms can be scary but its just noise"

"Not when you see lightning hit the ground" I wimped.

"Ok that's pretty scary, but I'm here nothing's gonna happen" Hiccup said "just go to sleep, I'm here"

I nodded and snuggled up to him.
It's warmer here on Berk, the ice has been off for a while, maybe thats why.

I used Hiccups shoulder as a pillow and wrapped my arms around him.

He put his head on top of mine and hugged me tightly.

My tail stuck out from under the blankets at our feet witch were tanged together.

Soon I felt safe and fell asleep in Hiccups arms.

-the next morning-

"Young love"

Great people watching us sleep.

"They found the one"

"I can't wake them up it's so cute"

I recognised the voices as Hiccups parents. Awkward.

"I'll wake them up"

Uh oh Astrid's here, she better not set Stormfly on us.

Suddenly I felt the blankets be ripped off exposing my skin and silk nightgown to the cold air.

"WAKE UUUUUPPPPPPP'" Astrid yelled.

"No" I groaned.

"Go away I'm tired" Hiccup said.

"WAKE UP. WAKE UP. WAKE UP"

"Why?" I moaned burring my face in Hiccups chest.

"Because the village needs to meet dragon girl" Astrid said.

I could hear Hiccups parents laughing in the background.

"Can it wait?" Hiccup groaned.

"Nope, come on!" Astrid said pulling on my tail and Hiccups leg.

"Fine! I'm up" Hiccup said sitting up and making me slide onto his lap.

I heard him yawn and shake my arm.

"Get up sunshine" he said.

I groaned in response.

"Come on"

"No"

"You'll get a kiss"

"Fiiinnee"

I rubbed my eyes and sat up.

"Meet us at the great hall" Astrid said walking out with the others.

"Where's my kiss?" I pouted.

Hiccup kissed me and stood up.

"I wish we could have a pj day" Hiccup said.

"Same" I said rubbing my eyes and stretching.

I got up and got changed and met Hiccup at the door.

We walked hand in hand to the great hall though the muddy ground.

When we reached the hall everyone was sitting in front of the stage.

Hiccup pulled me up onto the stage and we sat behind Stoick and Valka who were talking.

Soon it was our turn to talk.

Hiccup kept holding my hand.

"Well guys this is (y/n) the one that practically saved my life"

"Hi" I said in a small voice.

As Hiccup explained what was happening, I looked out at the crowd and slightly smiled that everyone didn't want to kill me.

My smile faded when I saw snotlout eying me down.

NO WAY. He is not hitting on me.

"Anything you wanna say?" Hiccup asked me.

"Yeah, thanks for not killing me guys, and thanks for letting me stay, sorry for all the panic I caused and uhhhhh..." I trailed off looking at Hiccup.

"Tell them" I whispered.

"And I just wanna say thanks for not killing my girlfriend and scaring me to death guys" Hiccup said.

"Awww so caring" I said kissing his cheek.

I looked out to the crowd, some of the boys my age sighed that their chances with me were gone. But snotlout was glaring at Hiccup.

Haha in your face I'm taken.

Some of the girls our age sighed at the fact Hiccup the hot was taken.

Haha he's mine.

We walked back to our spot while Stoick and Valka spoke.

"Hiccup" I said.

"Do me a favour and stay away from snotlout, he looks like he's gonna bash you up" I warned.

"He's not getting you, you're mine" Hiccup said.

"I'm only yours"

"Stay away from some of those girls, they look like their ready for a cat fight"

"Haha Hiccups mine" I giggled.

Hiccup laughed at my childish behaviour and kissed me on the nose.

After the meeting ended, it was time for breakfast.

Hiccup pulled me to sit with the gang.

"I didn't know people could be half dragon!" Fishlegs said.

"Neither did I until this happened" I said gesturing to my wings.

"It was a shock for all of us" Hiccup said kissing my forehead as I giggled.

"Hiccup. A word" snotlout said.

I shot a worried look at Hiccup.

He quickly kissed me and left to talk.

"Please don't get hurt" I whispered to myself.

"So actually how did you get your wings?" Astrid asked.

"I'm not really sure when I came here I just got them, maybe it's because this is the dragon world?" I said.

Fishlegs said something sciencey that nobody understood.

"Anyway, any idea why it was a night fury?" Astrid asked.

"Don't ask me" I said.

"EXCUSE ME SHES MY GIRLFRIEND!"

I looked over too see Hiccup and snotlout we're now arguing.

"SHE DOESN'T DESERVE YOU!"

I stood up.

Suddenly snotlout threw a punch at Hiccup who fell backwards.

"HICCUP!" I exclaimed.

I started running over as they got into a full on fight.

With another punch Hiccup was sent to the ground.

NO ONE. HURTS. MY. BOYFRIEND.

I jumped into the air and sped over.

Looks like its time to use a new trick I learned.

I charged a blast and my hands turned purple.

I fired a warning shot as I jumped in between them.

My eyes were now slits and my fangs were showing.

"DO NOT TOUCH MY BOYFRIEND"

"Why he doesn't deserve someone like you" snotlout said.

"He may not be muscular, but he is kind, charming, cute, brave and twice the Viking you'll ever be, I'd slap you but then I'd get idiot on my hands"

I fired a blast at his feet.

I dropped down and picked Hiccup up.

"Don't ever hurt Hiccup again" I said and walked out.

I looked down at Hiccup in my arms.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Just pain" he said.

He had a black eye and he was bleeding from his lip.

"No one hurts my baby boo and gets away with it" I said.

"Thanks for saving my butt"

"No problem" I said kissing Hiccup of the forehead.

I took him home where Stoick and Valka were eating.

I kicked open the door and put him down on the coffee table.

"What in Thors name happened!" Stoick said.

"Snotlout" I replied.

"Thats boys going to get it" Stoick said walking out.

Valka sighed.

"Just like the old days, I'll get some ice"

I got some cloth and wet it with warm water. I wiped away the blood on Hiccups lip.

He smiled.

"Thanks milady" he said.

"You're welcome"

Valka handed Hiccup some ice and he put it up to his eye.

"Better make sure theres no violence outside" valka said and walked out.

"If anyone ever touches you, call me and I'll beat them up" I said.

"I love you my badass girl" Hiccup said.

"I love you too my amazing boy" I said.
