Chapter 6

I let out a sigh as I woke up and got ready for the day. Halloween was today and I was thrilled to get to spend it with my friends.

"You okay?" Pansy asked as we set down in Charms.

"Yea, just tired." I said with a small sigh.

"You sure? You seem to be out of it."

"I'm fine, really." I said as I set up straight.

I looked forward and saw Professor Filtwick standing on a bunch of books, with his wand in his hand and a feather in the other.

"One of a wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation the ability to make objects fly. Uh, do you all have your feathers?" He asked calmly.

I raised my feather up and he nodded his head. I leaned on my free hand and tried to keep my eyes open.

"Good. Now, uh, don't forget the nice wrist movement we've been practicing, hmm? The swish and flick. Everyone." He said as he made the motions.

We all practiced the motions with our wand, me lazily doing it.

"Good. And enunciate. Wingardium Leviosa. Off you go then." Flitwick happily explained.

Everyone started to do the motions and tried to raise their wands. I laid my chin on my hand and watched as everyone failed. I was to tired to do a spell that I knew by heart, so I didn't even try. I simply closed my eyes and tried to fight against sleep.

"Wingardrium Leviosar!" Ron said waving his wand fast numerous times.

Hermione let out a groan and shook her head as she stopped him.

"Stop, stop, stop. You're going to take someone's eye out. Besides, you're saying it wrong. It's Levi-o-sa, not Leviosar."

"You do it then if you're so clever. Go on, go on." He said sending her a look.

Hermione straightened up and swished her wand.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

We watched as the feather glowed and then lifted up into the air, a smile spread across Hermione's face.

"Oh, well done! See here, everyone! Ms. Granger's done it! Oh, splendid!"

Ron put his head on his books and let out a groan as I held back a laugh. Seamus then started to try and lift the feather but said the spell wrong, causing the feather to explode.

"I think we're going to need another feather over here, Professor." Harry said as I covered my mouth.

Class was finished and I left to meet up with the twins.

"There is our third musketeer." George said as I walked up to them.

"Okay, so can we please prank your brother?" I asked with a smile.

"You're trying to steal my heart." Fred said as a smile spread across his face and he put a hand over his heart.

I loved the twins, I really did. Out of everyone here they were the ones I was closest to. They also were the first ones of the Weasley family, I had met. With me being only two years younger than them, they had become my closest friends and my prank partners.

We made it to the Great Hall and decided to play a small harmless prank on Ron, which made him stuck to his seat.

"I can't move, why can't I move!" Ron asked in shock.

"Weasley's! Unstick your brother." McGonagall ordered glaring at the twins.

"Waddiwasi." I mumbled unsticking him to his chair.

"Thank Merlin." Ron grumbled as he stood up and stretched.

We went back to eating, and I looked around for Hermione. I snuck over to Neville and set down.

"Where's mione?" I asked with a frown.

"Parvati Patil said that she wouldn't come out of the girl's bathroom. She said that she'd been in there all afternoon...crying." He said as Harry glanced at Ron with a disapproving look on his face.

Ron shrugged and I crossed my arms over my chest, ready to chew him out, but before I could the Great Hall doors were thrown open and Professor Quirrell came running in.

"TROLL! IN THE DUNGEON! T-TROOLLL IN THE DUNGEON!!" Quarrel yelled causing everyone to go quiet.

Dumbledore stood up from his seat in concern and we all turned to look at Quirrell, who stopped and went quiet.

"Thought you ought to know." He said before falling to the ground.

For a second the room was quiet, but after a couple seconds everyone screamed and started to panic.

"SILLLLLEEENNNNCEEEEE!" Dumbledore ordered making us all stop screaming and calm down.

"Everyone will please, not panic. Now, Prefects will lead their houses back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons." Dumbledore said calmly.

I followed Draco to our dorm and found myself looking around for Hermione, who still hadn't returned. When we made it to our rooms, I plopped down on the couch and pulled my Potions out, to write some more in it.

"What are you doing?"

My head snapped up and I saw Draco watching me, a frown on his face.

"Taking notes in my book." I explained as I flipped it around so he could read.

"How do you know all of this?" He asked annoyed.

"Potions is my favorite subject. I spend all my free time studying it." I explained with a smile.

Draco thought it over for a second and then let out a groan and plopped down beside me.

"Think you could tutor me, sometime?" He asked nervously.

"Sure." I said shrugging my shoulders.

Draco wasn't a bad guy, but he was a spoiled brat. I could tell that most of the reason he acted out was because he was trying to make his parents proud, and I felt that if he was actually just being himself, he would be a nice guy.

When we finished I threw myself down on my bed and closed my eyes, silently hoping for sleep to take me. But it didn't, and I spent the night wide awake.
