I couldn't help but to jump for joy when the words left my nurses mouth and to make matters better it was right before Christmas too.

"I'm free! I'm free!" I yelled as I spun around in my blanket.

"For now, but if you have another spell-"

"I know I'll be right back here. When is Tonks coming to get me?" I asked happily.

"She said she couldn't. But I contacted that nice boy who came to visit you and he said you could stay with him until then."

Right as she said that the doors opened and Percy walked in, a grin on his face. I bolted towards him and he set the suitcase down, catching me in his arms. My legs wrapped around his waist.

He let out a grunt as he caught me and held me tightly.

"I'm free!" I yelled hugging him tighter.

"I heard. Ready to go?" He asked as he put his arms under my legs.

"Yea, I'm ready." I said as he reached down with one arm and grabbed my suitcase.

He carried me outside to his car and I jumped off of him.

"Thanks for picking me up."

"No problem. I'm going to take you to the ministry first, your guardian can come and take you home.... I don't think he'd give me their address." He said with a frown.

"I could." I said with a laugh.

"I would have to arrest them."

"Right forgot." I said as I set down.

He shook his head and drove us to the Ministry. We made it inside and he carried my suitcase for me.

"My office is this way."

"You have an office?" I asked in shock.

"I know, even have my own personal stapler." He said playfully.

I let out a laugh and shook my head. He carried my bags inside and then set them down, while I plopped down in one of his guest chairs. I spun in it, causing him to shake his head.

"I wish that I had some of the boys pranking devices. Would love to prank Lucius Malfoy." I mumbled as I picked up a pen.

"I'd actually let you. He's a dick." Percy said as I spun in his chair.

I let out a laugh and shook my head.

"It's funny, use to I would be stuck at the twins side. Third year I finished their sentences. Now... we don't even talk anymore. They won't even stay in the same room as me. Your dad won't either. Matter of fact when he was in the hospital, he requested that I not be allowed near him, that was the worse pain ever and I felt bad for the nurse that told me." I said leaning back in the chair.

"I think they blame themselves. They think maybe if they were there you wouldn't have been hurt so badly. I know sometimes I think the same thing. Last year was a horrible year for you. You lost so much."

"Yea. Lost my friends, my grandmother, and my sanity. All in one month and I still think that I'm going to loss more before I graduate." I said as I leaned back in the chair.

"You won't lose me. I'm here to stay." Percy said taking my hand in his.

"Of course if get to keep the filthy blood traitor." I mumbled making him laugh.

I shook my head and he sent me a smile as he moved his hand away from mine. Percy set down in the chair beside me and leaned forward.

"Ebony... I have a confession to make." He said with a sigh.

"What is it?" I asked as I crossed my legs together.

"I-"

A hard knock cut him off and Percy stood up. He walked over to the door and stiffened up upon seeing Bill.

"Mum sent me to collect Ebony." Bill said calmly.

"Of course. Here is her... bags." He said as Bill tore them from his grasp.

"Let's go." Bill said sternly.

I nodded my head and stood up. I have Percy one more hug, which he instantly returned with a kiss on the head.

"See you later, Perc!" I called to him.

"Don't be a stranger!" Percy called as I was dragged away.

"You didn't have to be so mean." I mumbled crossing my arms over my chest.

"Ebony, you shouldn't have left with him. You could have given everything-"

"Percy wouldn't use me like that. Okay, he would use me to get to The Order, because he doesn't care about The Order! He cared about how I was! Has since last year! He is the only fucking person who cared about me before I lost my Gran!" I yelled angrily.

Bill looked at me shocked and I closed my eyes.

"You all are treating me like I'm glass. But Percy has treated me the same... he knows all I want is for everything to go back to normal. He knows all I want his to have my family back, but non of you have been there for me. Not you, not the twins, not your mum, not your dad, not my cousin, and not my own parents. You all left me alone in a dark place, and I'm still climbing out of there. Percy is the only one who sees that." I said sadly.

"I'm sorry, we are all stressed out about everything happening."

"I know, don't you think I am too? My mom is in the hospital out of her mind. My gran died last year. I was tortured for months last year, I just left the same hospital my mum is in and your brothers won't look at me. No one wants to look at me." I said sadly.

Bill nodded his head and I pushed past him. When we arrived at the house I saw Molly cleaning the place.

"Ebony! Oh you're back!" Molly exclaimed.

She went to hug me, but I took a step back, causing a look of pain to flash across her face. She instantly covered it up and smiled softly.

"Yea, Harry here?" I asked looking around.

"Living room." She said with a nod.

I pushed past her and walked into the living room, to see everyone there. Remus and Tonks were talking to Sirius and Harry while Ron and Hermione were talking to the twins. I took a step inside but stopped.

"No one can hear you. I charmed the room. Scream as you might, no one is coming. No one is looking for you. No one cares."

I turned and walked out of the room, in a way he was right. No one actually seemed to care about me. I was a shadow in this house, and there was no light strong enough to bring me back.
