We were forced to move and I was placed in Sirius's old room. Almost instantly I became close with Nymphadora Tonks, Sirius' cousin. She was a new Auror and someone I could freely talk to without worrying about how she would react.

"You are finally back." I said as Tonks walked into my room.

"Just brought Harry." She explained plopping down on my bed.

"Is he okay?" I asked as I moved closer to her.

"Yea, confused. But he will be okay." She said ruffling my hair, as I laid down on her lap.

I let out a sigh and rolled off of her. I stood up and stretched. My eyes soon landed on a mirror and I walked up to it. I reached up and ran my fingers thru my hair.

My hair was long now, and was almost nearing my back. It would be hard to brush soon and probably would become a pain.

"Tonks... could.. could you cut my hair?" I asked as I stared at my reflection in Sirius' mirror.

"Of course." She said with a smile.

"I want a pixie cut." I said as I set back down.

"Are you Sure? You can't go back from this." She said as she looked down at me.

I nodded my head and she left to get some scissors, sneaking them past Remus.

"Remus asks and you held me at wand point." Tonks said as she held the scissors up.

"Do it." I said with a nod.

Next thing I know my hair is in a pixie cut, it is a little botched but to me it was perfect. It meant that no one could grab me by my hair again, and that I could be prepared this time.

We make our way to the table and I see Harry talking to Sirius. Sirius looked up and his eyes go wide as he sees me.

"Sorry I'm late, forced Tonks to cut my hair." I said as I sent Harry a smile.

Harry's face light up and he stood up. We hugged and I let out a sigh.

"How are you?" He asked softly.

"Better. Think I've had enough mental breakdowns." I said sending him a smile.

He shook his head and I saw Tonks making faces.

"Also meet my emotion support Tonks. She goes with me everywhere now." I said as Tonks put an arm around my shoulder.

"Hoping to become her aunt." Tonks said playfully, causing me to laugh.

"Rooting for you." I said holding my fist up.

We bumped knuckles and Remus shook his head.

"Sit down, and stop encouraging her." Remus said sternly.

"Yes Uncle Moony." I said playfully.

I set down beside Harry. After awhile Harry sent me a look and I leaned back in my chair and sent him a wink

"I might be acting different, heads up it's the drugs I'm on." I whispered to him.

"Ebony has been placed on some fun drugs... to keep her calm. I'm afraid she won't be going to Hogwarts this year. She will staying at St Mungo's until cleared to leave." Sirius explained.

"Yep! And Tonks has sworn to visit me." I said shooting her a look.

Tonks shook her head as I pointed to her. I let out a laugh and leaned back in my chair. Harry had an unreadable look on his face and my smile disappeared.

"Don't worry about me. Think about yourself. I am big girl I'll be okay." I said as I grabbed his hand.

"Better be, cause I need my cousin." He said as he ruffling my hair.

I nodded my head and let go of his hand.

"Just one year, besides Dumbledore told me that as long as I do my work. I can be in your year again next year. I'm going to blow shit up when I get back." I said with a smile.

Harry let out a laugh and I ruffled his hair up.

"Speaking of St Mungo's..."

"Yea! I know, take me to prison. I'll be a bloody saint there." I said as Tonks helped me up.

Remus stood up himself and followed us out of the house. Almost instantly my face dropped and I let out a sigh as I closed my eyes. Tonks simply rubbed my back as she and Remus led me outside.

"You know you can trust them." Remus said softly.

"I'd rather not tell them. Harry has a lot on his plate already." I said as I looked down at my arms.

The scars still burned at times and they hadn't fully healed yet. My nurse said it was due to stress and me picking at them, which I didn't know I did.

"You do too. Ebony, what happened to you was cruel and most witches your age wouldn't come back from that." Tonks said sadly.

"I know... Neville's parents were older than me and... they didn't come back from it."

"But you will and we will be there every step of the way." Remus said kissed my forehead.

The walk was long, but I needed it. Mostly so that I could clear my head and not think about what was going to happen.

When we arrived I saw my mother's nurse waiting for me.

"Hello again, dear. Are you ready?" The nurse asked sending me a reassuring smile.

I nodded my head and turned to look at Remus and Tonks. Tonks pulled me into a hug and squeezed me tightly.

"I'll be here every step of the way." She whispered in my ear.

When she let go of me, Remus pulled me into a hug as well.

"I love you so much." He said as I let out a sigh.

"I'll miss you."

"It's only a year." He said softly.

I nodded my head and pulled away from him. I hadn't realized it but this would be the one year I wouldn't want to be at Hogwarts. Mostly because I'd probably get more scars this year. And I think I couldn't handle any more injures.
