Chapter 8

The three of you walked there in silence. You hung back looking at the back of the guys heads. What exactly had happened back there? You looked down at Ryuu who walked beside you as if nothing was wrong. You sighed, you really needed a should but at the same time it was important that you see the Dry Juice hideout. You wanted to help Aoba and Koujaku with his missing friend. You had never met Mizuki but you knew of Dry Juice and you had a lot of respect for him and his team. That was what you wanted for Black Dragon. A place where you members could feel safe and that one could do to another for help if they needed it. Really your biggest fear was it becoming like Venom Strike. Were it's members treated each other like enemies instead of comrades, they didn't help each other and there were even accounts of one member killing another. Purely because he got a little angry, you didn't want that for Black Dragon. You wouldn't have that for Black Dragon. You'd do anything to make sure that didn't happen to them. Everyone in your team was under your protection and you took your job as both their leader and protector very seriously. Aoba and Koujaku silently turned a corner, knowing where they were going. You followed them and looked around at the eerily empty streets, there was no one around and the place was a mess. You spotted a Morphine symbol on the wall, covering what used to be the proud symbol of Dry Juice. Aoba and Koujaku suddenly stopped outside a door and Koujaku went to open it, he tugged at it but it wouldn't budge.

"Damn, it's locked from the inside. The police must have locked it after we left last time." He told them with anger on his face.

"Then I guess we can't get in right now." Aoba said but part of him sounded a little revealed. You looked above you at the building and noticed and opened window. You looked around a little more, planning a route up to it in your head.

"Sorry to tell you this Aoba but you'r out of luck." You told them. When they turned to face you, you pointed to the window above them. Koujaku smiled when he saw it but Aoba looked at you worriedly.

"You not seriously going to try and get up there are you?"

"Of course."

"What if you fall? You'll really hurt yourself." You sighed and walked past him moving closer to the building.

"Have a little more faith Aoba." You told him as you began to climb the building.

"Koujaku you'r okay with this?" You heard Aoba ask from behind you. You continued to climb, though your eyes were listening for Koujaku's response.

"If (y/n) thinks she can do it then I'll believe her."

"And what about your whole 'woman are to be protected' policy? Are you saying you don't believe that now because you letting one risk getting seriously injured right in front of you."

"I do still believe it but (y/n) isn't just any ordinary girl. She's the leader of a Rib group and to be someone like that she's got to know how to handle herself. Have a little more faith." Koujaku said with a smile on his face using your words. You laughed slightly to yourself and stopped halfway towards the window and looked down.

"Does he always worry this much?" She asked Koujaku hanging off the building just to mess with Aoba. A look of pure panic flashed across his face while Koujaku just laughed lightly.

"Focus on what your doing." He shouted up at you. You turned back towards the building and continued to climb. You reached the window and pushed yourself through it. You couldn't see a thing down there.

"Hey Ryuu, come and give me some light." You called to your AllMate. Ryuu spread his wings and flew towards you. He glided past you, straight into the building and lit up the room with a soft blue glow that came from him. "Thanks." You said as you jumped down. You rolled on the ground, making your landing smooth and then jumped back up.

"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" Said the worried voice of Aoba through the door. You rolled your eyes at him.

"Yep, perfectly fine." You assured him. You walked to the door and Ryuu hovered next to you so you could see what you were doing. The lock looked pretty heavy duty but with the right amount of force it would come off. You frowned and looked around, you need something to bust the door open. You spotted a large piece of metal lying on the ground, it looked like it had fallen from the ceiling. You walked and picked it up, remembering to lift with your knees and pointed it at the door.

"Are you sure that that will work?" Ryuu asked you seeing what was happening.

"Not really but you got a better idea?"

"I do not. This does have a chance of working." He told you as he moved backwards a little more. You lifted the metal bar up and ran at the door. You heard a crack but it didn't open, you went back and ran at it again. The locked looked pretty weak now. You threw the metal bar on the floor breathing hard, it was a lot heavier than it looked. You lifted you leg up and you kicked the lock with all your might. It broke and fell to the floor and the door flung open and light poured into the abandoned hideout.

"Um, a little warming next time (y/n)." Aoba said as you noticed he had jumped right back.

"Right...sorry." You apologised. Koujaku nodded at you politely and walked into the hideout followed by Aoba. You looked around, the light filling almost every corner of the room. You saw the mess the room was in, scuff marks on the floor, wooden chairs smashed everywhere. It was then that you saw the stairs, Morphine's mark painted over Dry Juice's and covered in blood. You walked over to it and bent down looking at it. You could feel the eyes of the two boys burning into the back of you head.

"Can you see anything?" Koujaku asked. You sighed and stood up.

"Well it's clear that a rather large battle occurred here. It's highly possible that you're friend was tricked."

"Tricked how?" Koujaku asked.

"Simple really. He thought these people were friends of Dry Juice and let them into their hide out, then they turned out not to be so friendly."

"No Mizuki's smarter than that. He wouldn't fall for something like that, he was probably ambushed of something." Aoba protested getting defensive about his friend.

"Aoba I know that you don't want to believe it but if Dry Juice was in a pickle. Mizuki's judgement might have been...clouded. As a leader of a team myself I know that I would do almost anything to keep my team going. It might be that Morphine claimed to help Dry Juice but the help they offered didn't turn out to be what Mizuki signed up for."

"Mizuki would never trust Morphine." Aoba said angrily. You looked over at Koujaku, he would understand. He had too, he was a team leader himself. However he remained silent, not agreeing of disagreeing with you.

"Do you know if Dry Juice was in any kind of trouble before they disappeared?" You asked him. Koujaku shook his head lightly.

"From what I know of they were fine. Although I'll admit that Mizuki had been a little on edge for a while."

"That doesn't mean he would join forces with Morphine." Aoba shouted at him.

"I didn't say it did." Koujaku told him but there was uncertainty in his eyes. Aoba might have missed it but you saw it, you knew that he saw truth in your words. Even if it was just a little.

"That's all I got." You told them suddenly. "You don't have to believe me and I'm not saying that what I thought of is correct but that's what I can come up with by just looking around here. Either way I think it's safe to say that Morphine are living right under our noses. They're a lot closer than we thought they were and I'm pretty sure they exist."

"How? It may just be another group using Morhpine's name to do all this." Koujaku told you but you shook his head.

"It can't possible be another Rib group. When I was looking into the disappearances I did a lot of research in the other Rib groups and their pasts. I found out a lot of information and from what I can found they all have a clean record."

"How did you get that kind of information?" Aoba asked.

"I have my ways. It's also how I knew how I knew so much Koujaku when we first met. Sorry." You apologised to him.

"That's alright."

"Of course it could be a Rhyme group but I doubt it. They specialise in fighting in Rhyme, it's unusual to find some like that with the psychical strength to take out someone in a Rib team, with the exception of Noiz of course. He's unusually strong for a Rhyme player. Either way Dry Juice wouldn't have been an easy take down, thinking that it has to be Morphine." Aoba and Koujaku looked tense and un sure but they understood what you were saying, however much they didn't like the sound of it.

"(Y/n) I hate to interrupt but you have a message from Meg saying that there is trouble at Black Dragon's hideout." Ryuu said interrupting.

"Did she say what kind of trouble?"

"She says that a fights broken out. She tried to calm them down but it was started by Shuu." You sighed. Shuu was the hot head of Black Dragon. He didn't visit the hide out often but when he did a fight would usually break out. He wouldn't stop either, once he got angry that was it. He would punch anything and everything. You had told him not to several times and he had said he was sorry and that he wouldn't do it again but he always did. The thing was though he was incredible loyal and met all your requirements and if you kicked him out of the team he'd have no where to go. You didn't like the fact that he attacked members in his own team. That wasn't right, you were meant to be a unit and he put a tear in that relationship every time he did this. The only person that was capable of stopping his rampage and calming him down was you, because he had a great deal of respect for you and no matter what happened he would never raise a fist against you.

"Alright tell her I'll be there in a few minutes." She said feeling a little annoyed. "I have to go." You told Aboa and Koujaku.

"Would you mind if I tag along? I've never been to the Black Dragon hideout." Koujaku asked. You were a little shocked at his request but found yourself nodding.

"Of course. Aoba would you like to come too?" You asked. He smiled slightly and shook his head.

"I would like too but I have to get back to work. Haga-san is probably wondering were I am." He said. You assumed that this 'Haga-san' was his boss.

"Okay, you're welcome if you do ever feel like paying a visit."

"Thanks (y/n)." He said with a small blush on his face.

"Shall we be going then?" You asked Koujaku and he nodded with a warm smile on his face. The two of you said goodbye to Aoba and Ren and began to make your way towards Black Dragon's hide out...
