Part - 25 : Special Note

It was evening time. The sun was slowly setting, spreading its orange hues across the sky. In one corner of the garden, Jay and Virat were sitting together, sipping tea. They were also discussing their upcoming business deals. The moment jay step his foot into this mansion, Yashraj was determined to set him in his family business.

"Brother... I've never asked you about this before, but after all these incidents I really wanna know. What exactly happened with Chef Sanjeev?"

"Why are you asking about this suddenly?" Virat looked at his younger brother in surprise.

"I don't think his death was an accident. The way all incidents had happen in last few days in this mansion It seems like it was too a planned murder. Now I am certain that someone among us in this mansion was behind his murder too. Or maybe its the same person who tried to eliminate the Vohra family from this mansion also killed Rajshree because they didn't want to leave any evidence behind." Jay replied thinking something seriously.

"Honestly, I felt the same way. But the problem is that incidents happened 15 years ago, and that time police closed the case stating that it was just an accident. So it's almost impossible to look for proofs from that case." Virat sighed deeply.

"But, brother, what bothers me is why the killer used Cure 31 to kill Rajshree? Isn't it strange? Could it be a hint for us? We should try to connect these two dots to solve the matter." Jay weighed more on his words to convince him.

"Good evening, sir." Their conversation was interrupted by a third voice. One of their office staff stood before them, holding some files. "I urgently need your signatures on these documents." he said, handing the files to Virat.

Virat nodded and took the files. But as soon as he opened the file, he was startled to see a small note placed on top.

"What's this?" Jay looked closely at the note. In response, Virat handed the note to Jay.

"Your Highness, I know you're currently investigating the triple murder in the mansion. But to find him you need to look into the matter in right way. It's really funny to see that You have given the responsibility of the investigation to the killer himself. Lakhwinder Singh is the person who mixed a heavy dose of Cure 31 in the juice. You were his target, it was fate that poor Rajshree had that glass of drugged juice and she died instead of you. As I said you are not even a single bit serious about finding the murderer so now I am forced to opening your eyes and show you some light. Take a complete Search on Lakhwinder singh right now, and you'll find the drug called cure-31 with him.

- Your well-wisher!"

"Oh my God... who gave you this file?" After reading the note Jay immediately stood and snapped at the staff. Hearing his stern voice the staff gets terrified.

"Your Highness... Your Majesty gave me these files. He told me to get your signatures as soon as possible. That's why I am here." The staff member replied keeping his head down. His voice was stuttering in fear.

"It's okay... you can go. I'll sign these documents and give them to Dad myself." Virat signaled him to leave.

"Brother... I am going to search that Lakhwinder's room right now. If what this note says is true, we shouldn't spare him under any circumstances." Jay said balling his fist.

"There's nothing to be so excited. The killer himself sent us this message, which means our plan is working. Whoever this person is, he is now scared that Lucky will recognize him and reveal his identity. That's why he is trying to get rid of him in every possible way. And I'm sure he must have hidden the drug in Lucky's room or in his belongings. As I expected he made his first move, now it's our turn." A sly smile appeared on Virat's lips.

"So what now?" Jay looked at him with suspicion.

"For now, go and give these documents to Dad. We'll discuss the rest later." Virat signed all the files and handed them to Jay. Jay nodded and took the files. He headed straight towards Yashraj's office. As he left the garden, he noticed Rakesh was coming from the other direction And there was another guy with him. But in his haste, Jay didn't pay much attention to them.

"Good evening, sir." Rakesh greeted him as they passed by. Jay simply nodded smiling at him and quickly move on.

"Whoa... Who was that handsome hunk?" Lucky asked Rakesh looking at the direction where Jay left.

"Mind your language... He is the second prince of Tomars, and younger brother of Your Highness Jay Singh Tomar." Rakesh replied as they move in the direction of virat.

"Oh I see.. Aren't these princes a bit too handsome? I wonder if they ever tried their luck in movies or in modeling?" Lucky muttered to herself.

But even though she spoke softly, Rakesh heard her all words.

"Hey you... Watch your mouth. Seems like you're not done with the last punishment and asking for more." Rakesh looked at her with narrowed eyes.

Just the thought of the previous paddeling made Lucky shudder in fear. "Sorry... sorry, sir. It was a slip of the tongue... I won't say a single word about the prince from now on."

Rakesh lightly tapped the back of Lucky's head. "I've noticed your tongue has been slipping quite a lot lately."

Lucky rubbed her head and looked at Rakesh, "But sir, you still didn't tell me why he called me to his room?"

"Hold on.. You'll find out yourself in a while." Rakesh knocked on Virat's door.

"Come in..." a deep voice came from inside, and Lucky felt like her heart sank to the bottom.

To be continued...
