Part - 23 : Sweet Paradise

Lucky stepped out of her room and looked around. There was no one in sight. It was five in the morning. The sun hadn't properly risen yet, so there was no chance of seeing people around. This was the perfect opportunity to go out. With this thought, Lucky slung her backpack over her shoulder and headed towards the mansion's main gate. Since her phone had been flushed down the toilet, she hadn't been able to contact Neelam or Sweety. After yesterday's incident, she even don't want to face Virat today. Lost in her thoughts, she walked quickly, but just as she reached the gate, two tall guards blocked her path. For a moment, she was startled, but then she remembered. Virat had stationed the entire force here. No one could enter or exit without his permission.

"Why are you in so much hurry, Sardar Ji? Are you trying to escape?" one of them asked with a sly smile.

'Ofcourse I'm escaping from hell to spend some good time in heaven, do you have any problem with that?' Lucky wanted to say that loud but instead she smiled at the guards and said,
"It's not like what you are thinking... I was doing just a little walking, jogging so I can get some fresh air. Sitting whole day in the mansion is suffocating me."

The guards' gaze fell on the bag she was holding.

"Why do you need a bag for a walk? What's inside?"

"It's Nothing special, just some juice and chocolates. I get very hungry after exercise... that's all. Can I go out now?" Lucky asked with a big smile and tried to slip out beside them. But she wasn't so lucky this time.

"Show me your permission letter." the guard replied nonchalantly, and she felt like her heart sank to the bottom. Ofcourse She was leaving without informing Virat. How could she present the permission letter.

"Permission letter? Ok I will show you. Where did it go? I was just right here." Lucky pretended to search her bag. "Oh... I think I left it in my room. Walking all the way back and forth will waste a lot of time. How about this, let me go now, and I'll show you the permission letter when I return. Is that okay?"

"There is nothing like waste my time... As we have plenty of that. Go back and get the permission letter first. The good thing is You'll get your walking and jogging done in the process. May be you won't need to do exercise after that?" The guard folded his arms and gave her a crooked smile. Lucky realized she wouldn't get away this time. Silently cursing Virat, she returned to her room. But she swore herself that today no matter what, she would meet her family anyhow. And there was only one way to do it. Once again, she stole some clothes from the servant quarters and sneaked out through the broken wall behind the mansion. After staying up all night, the dogs were also lying lazily on the grass. Lucky treated them to some bread and biscuits, and in return, they let her leave quietly. Once she gets outside, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After so many days, the fresh air outside the mansion made her mind feel completely refreshed. She happily headed towards Sweet Paradise. But in her joy and happiness she git clumsy nd bumped into someone.

"Sorry miss... I didn't see you." Shobhit quickly picked up her bag, which had fallen due to the collision, and handed it to her. But as soon as he saw Lucky, he was startled.

"Aren't you the one who..." but his words were cut off by the voice came from far.

"Lucky..."

Sweety was standing right in front of the gate, talking to someone. As soon as she saw Lucky, she ran towards her with excitement. Lucky didn't pay any heed to Shobhit and quickely ran to hug Sweety.

"You're really lucky, Auntie is here too. She'll be very happy to see you." Sweety took her hand and led her inside.

"This is amazing... she's the same girl who bumped into our car that day. Jay Sir has been looking for her. What's she doing in this bar?" Shobhit wondered, looking around in surprise. A few drunk people were stumbling out, accompanied by some girls in skimpy outfits who looked like dancers. Jay fell in love with such a girl who is living in this bar? Just thinking about it spoiled Shobhit's mood. He pulled out his phone, and after contemplating for a while, finally dialed Jay's number.
"Hello, sir... I found the girl." He was still confused about whether he should tell Jay about her or not.

"Really? That's really good news. I need all her details. Where she lives, who she meets, her family... everything."

"Sir... she just went into Sweet Paradise in front of me." Hearing Jay's excitement, Shobhit replied reluctantly.

"Sweet Paradise? What's that place?"

"Sir, it's the most famous bar in Jaipur. It's open 24/7. And I've heard its not a simple bar as it looks like. there's a lot more going on behind the scenes... you know what I mean."

Jay was shocked to hear this.
"Are you sure you saw the same girl?" He was still reluctant to believe what shobhit was saying.

"Yes, sir... I saw her clearly. It's the same girl. And the bar owner was also there. The way she hugged her, it seemed like they are very close friends."

"But how is that possible?" Jay's voice barely came out.

"It's okay, sir... you couldn't have known who she is. You can't judge someone by just their face." Shobhit tried to console him, sensing the despair in his voice. Jay looked at the earrings in his hand, which had fallen from Lucky when they first meet. As he looked at them, Lucky's face flashed before his eyes again.

"Sir... should I bring her to the mansion?" When shobhit didn't heard any response from jay he asked again.

"No need to take her here. come back immediately." Jay said in stern voice.

"Okay, sir." Shobhit cut the call and slipped his phone through his pockets. Without wasting any time he headed back to the mansion.

Jay looked at the earrings in his hand and sighed deeply.
"Perhaps I have no right to keep these earrings with me. It's better if I return it back to where it belongs."

To be continued...
