Part - 17 : The beautiful painting

Lucky was sitting in her room. Her whole body was aching with pain. She was cursing the moment when she chose the getup of Chef Lakhwinder Singh. It would have been better if she had taken the getup of a female staff member and worn a big veil. At least she wouldn't have become Virat's rival in his eyes. And would have thought thousand times before accusing her for having any relationship with his childhood crush.

"God! They almost broke my back. They beat me so badly that neither i can stand nor sit. And now that rascal london return prince assigned this dog to spy on me? I don't know which dog's bone I stole in my past life that all the dogs in this life have made my life like hell. People have Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu in their horoscope, but I am hundred percent sure, a dog is sitting in my horoscope... What should I do with it?" Lucky looked at Disco. He was comfortably sniffing every item in the room. Just then, the door opened, and Ghungroo stepped inside.

"What are you mumbling alone here? I told you so many times to run away from here, but you insisted on staying. Now look... what you got from staying here in this mansion." Ghungroo looked at her with regret. He was keeping a big bowl in his hand. Which he placed on the table. Lucky now looked at Ghungroo,
"What can I do, Guru Ji, though my name is lucky but my luck is very bad since I came this palace. Now I understand how you got so many injuries."

"It's okay my son... come on, take off your cloths."

"Why??"

As soon as Ghungroo reached to remove her shirt, Lucky immediately grabbed his hand to stop him. By today's incidents Lucky understood that boys really have no respect. Why Everyone is interested in getting off her clothes? If there hadn't been a condition to take off clothes in the arena, she wouldn't be in this condition today. Instead, she would have beaten so hard four or five of them.

"Why what? When I was hurt, it was you who applied turmeric paste on my back. See how fine I am. Now it's my turn to help you. I don't keep anyone's favor." Ghungroo picked up the turmeric paste from the table.

"Guru Ji, there's no need to trouble yourself. I'll do it myself. And what favor? Serving my master is my duty." Lucky almost snached the bowl of turmuric paste from his hand.

"Hey, you got so many sticks on your back. How will you apply it yourself? It will hurt more if don't do it properly. Come on, take off your clothes... I'll help you." As soon as Ghungroo grabbed the edge of her shirt, Lucky immediately pushed him away.

"Hey... what's wrong with you? Why are you pushing me?" Ghungroo looked at her in surprise.

"Because... because I'm shy. I can't take off my clothes in front of you. Give me the paste, I'll apply it myself." Lucky said in hurry and Ghungroo burst into laughter.

"You're shy of me?? Hey, I'm like your friend. Does anyone feel shy in front of a friend? Come on... quickly take off your shirt. You'll feel better after applying this paste." Ghungroo tried again. Lucky had no choice and in order to stop him she kicked him hard accidentally hitting his injury. Ghunguroo groaned in pain.

"Omg! Holy moly crap... See, there's no time for goodness. I came here to help you, and you're hitting me instead of showing your gratitude? Fine! Do it yourself. I won't help you anymore." Ghungroo said angrily and left the room. Lucky felt like crying over her condition. Ghungroo was the only one in the mansion who cared for her, but now he was also angry with her.

"Thank you, Guru Ji..." Lucky called out from behind. But he left without saying anything. Lucky picked up the paste and started applying it to her injury. But it burned so much that she threw the bowl on the table in frustration.

"Mr. Virat Singh Tomar... You have to pay for this..."

The sun was getting to set, and evening was approaching. The sunlight was gradually dimming. But unaware of all this, Jay was standing alone on the mansion's terrace. He had a small brush in his right hand, and a colour palate in his left hand. with which he had been trying to paint on the canvas in front of him for quite some time. He closed his eyes, and the familiar face appeared in front of him again. The same girl who was accidentally got hit by his car on the first day of his arrival in jaipur. In the actual encounter she was too angry and god knows what she lectured to shobhit. He didn't heard a single word. But here in his imagination she was smiling in front of him. She was wearing a beautiful golden lehenga and holding her small backpack close to her chest as if it is her teddy bear. Her long hair was flowing in the air, her big eyes filled with love and emotion. Remembering her brought a lovely smile to Jay's lips.

When she had bumped into his car, Jay's heart had stopped for a moment. Her getting up, dusting off her clothes, shouting at Shobhit, and arguing with him, all these moments were like a recorded tape in his mind. Jay looked at the picture he had painted. it was exactly how Lucky had appeared to him that day. The only difference was that in this picture, Lucky was standing in a garden full of flowers, smiling instead of being angry.

"Sir... you're here. I've been searching the entire mansion for you." Shobhit came to the terrace. He was panting like coming straight from a marathon. It was clear that he had been running around a lot before coming here.

"Any problem?" Jay gave the painting a final touch-up and glanced at it.

"Sir, as you instructed, I've transferred funds to all the orphanages and NGOs. I've also sent you all the details. And I've postponed all your clients' meetings for now."

Although Jay wasn't officially involved in the Tomars family business. But he often supported Virat with office work indirectly. He was also managing all the works of the NGOs under Tomar Industries.

"Okay... and how's the investigation going here? Any clues about Rajshree's murderer?" Jay finally put down the brush and asked.

"No, sir... the police are trying their best. I've also checked the background of almost all the staff in the mansion, but nothing has come up suspicious. Whoever did this attack is very smart and made sure that he didn't left any clues behind."

"No matter how cunning or smart the killer is, he will too make mistakes. We just have to wait for that one. By the way... you have another task to do amidst all this. I need to find someone. And You have to help me find her."

Hearing Jay's words, Shobhit's attention now turned to the canvas,
"Sir, this girl... I've seen her somewhere before." He tried to remember, straining his mind.

"Of course, you've seen her." Jay smiled at the picture.

"Oh my God... she's the girl who bumped into our car and then fought with me. You're looking for her? But why?" Shobhit looked at Jay in surprise.

"I have something to return to her. Find her from anywhere. And make sure to treat her with respect. No one should know that you're looking for her. Otherwise people will start making up stories." Shobhit looked at Jay with wide eyes. Due to his work and hobbies, Jay traveled around the world and met many beautiful girls. But this is the first time he is showing interest in a girl. So he was surprised.

"What are you staring at? Go and find her..." Jay scolded him, and Shobhit came to his senses.

"N... nothing. Actually, I've been working with you for so many years, but today for the first time I found out that you are also a good painter. I don't know how many hidden talents you have." As soon as Shobhit reached for the painting, Jay angrily pushed his hand away.

"I haven't given you permission to touch it. Go find her and inform me as soon as you find any trace of her."

"I'm sorry, sir..." Shobhit chuckled lightly, seeing Jay's possessiveness. "That girl bumped into us on the way to the mansion. Maybe she lives somewhere nearby. Dont worry I'll find out her soon." Shobhit assured him and left the terrace. Jay reached into his pocket and took out two small earrings that had fallen from Lucky's ears during the collision that day. Looking at the shiny golden earrings, a smile appeared on his lips once again.

"Don't worry... very soon, I'll put these earrings on you again with my own hands."

To be continued...
