Y/N's P.O.V

Tails, Sonic, and I were already flying on the Tornado, heading to Eggman's base. The same base that Sonic saved me from. Eggman had taken the last Chaos Emerald to his base, and we were going to get it back.

But... I couldn't help but feel like something was going to happen... Something bad.

The last time I got a feeling like this, something bad really did happen. I need to keep my guard up. Anything can happen. I won't turn back. I won't run. I'll face the challenge head on.

Once we were close to the base, lasers started to fire at us. Tails quickly dodged all of them with ease. Sonic and I started to look at Eggman's base, trying to find an entrance. I soon spotted one. "Sonic! Over there!" I said as I pointed to the entrance. "Nice work Y/N! I'll meet you there. Just wait for me at the entrance." Sonic said. I nodded and immediately teleported to the entrance.

I looked up and saw the Tornado avoiding lasers and flying badniks. I looked at Sonic and saw that he was using the badniks to make his way to me. I waited until I heard some noise behind me. I turned around and saw some robots coming for me. All I did was smile.

I summoned some bones and pierced it to each robot that came close. They were all destroyed easily. I looked up and saw a security camera. I quickly broke the camera with a bone. I then heard Sonic land next to me. He looked at the destroyed robots then looked at me. "Great job Y/N. Now, let's go get that Emerald." Sonic said as he smiled at me. I smiled back and nodded. We both started to run into the base, determined to get the last Chaos Emerald back.

I had to admit that I was a little scared to be back in Eggman's base. This was the first place I saw of Sonic's world and it wasn't a pleasant first visit. I only saw one room of this base, which was where I was held captive. Who knows how many rooms the doctor has and what it's used for. Although this time was different. Sonic was with me this time, and I came here by choice.

Sonic and I searched every room we would find. I would get rid of a camera before we would continue forward. We did come across robots a couple of times, but they were easy to defeat. It must of taken a while for us to find at least something useful, because I was starting to get impatient. I could tell Sonic was too.

We search every room, not including the control room that Eggman was in, except for one. The door was bigger than the others and a password was required to open the door. I looked at Sonic. "This has to be it. It's the only room we haven't checked yet." I said. "You might be right. Only one way to find out." Sonic said. I nodded in agreement. I was about to try and figure out the password until Sonic started to repeatedly homing attack the door. He kept attacking the door, creating dents on the door. "J-Jeez Sonic. Calm down." Just when that sentence left my mouth, the whole door fell to the ground. "Woah..." was all I could say before we walked in.

The room was a bit dark with the giant computer in the room being the only light source here. Sonic quickly searched the entire room before stopping. "Dang. The Chaos Emerald isn't here. It must be with Eggman. Come on. Let's go get that Emerald." Sonic said as he was walking out of the room. I was about to follow until the computer screen fought my eye. I looked and saw that a file called "Secret Plans" was open. "Y/N? What is it?" Sonic asked. I didn't answer. I walked up to the computer and started looking through the different plans Eggman had. Some of his plans were ones that I have seen before. One was about splitting the planet into pieces and another was about using energy from alien creatures called Wisps. I kept looking until a picture caught my attention. It was a truck, but not just any truck. It was the same truck that crashed into my parents car.

I gasped and froze. Why is there a picture of that truck here!? I looked at the plans Eggman had involving this truck and completely froze. No! It can't be! It couldn't be!

Eggman had purposely killed my parents.

I couldn't move. All I could do was shake. Sonic was about to ask me what was wrong until he saw the screen. His eyes widened as he continued to look at it. I was in disbelief. Would Eggman stoop this low? I suddenly became angry as I clenched my hands to form fists. He's going to pay!

Sonic looked at me and could tell what I was thinking when he saw how angry I was. "Y/N! Wait!" Sonic said as he tried to reach for me. I teleported away before he could get the chance.

I teleported in front of a ginormous door that had Eggman's logo on it. Just looking at Eggman's logo made me more mad. I summoned a blaster and blasted the door. The blast was so strong that I knocked the door down. In the room, I saw Eggman with his back facing me and the last Chaos Emerald next to him in a glass container.

"Why!? Why would you kill my parents!?" I yelled at him. "So you found out." He said without looking at me. "Tell me why!" I yelled. I was getting impatient. He turned around. "I needed to activate the powers you were born with." Eggman answered. I looked at him angrily as my right eye glowed furiously. "And killing my parents was the only way!?" I shouted. Before Eggman could answer, Sonic showed up. Eggman did not looked pleased. "Not the hedgehog again." Eggman said in a hateful tone.

I quickly teleported to the Chaos Emerald and broke the glass container. Eggman was slow to realize that I was next to him. He was about to grab me, but I grabbed the Chaos Emerald and teleported next to Sonic. I grabbed Sonic and teleported is outside the base.

I let go of Sonic and looked down. Sonic looked at me with a look of concern. "Y/N? Are you alright?" He asked. I shook my head. "No..." I answered quietly. I slowly crouched down and buried my face I to my hands. I started to cry. All this time, my parent's death was staged instead of it being an accident. Sonic crouched down in front of me and hugged me. "I read the plan on the computer. I'm so sorry. I promise, I'll make Eggman pay." He said. I hugged him and slowly smiled. "Thank you, Sonic." I said. I could feel Sonic smile back as we continued to hug.

"So the freak does have feelings~. How pathetic."

Sonic and I let go and quickly looked around to find the source of the voice. Freak? Wait! It can't be! I quickly looked around until I finally spotted the source. I instantly froze and stared with wide eyes.

My bully, B/N, was standing right in front of me.

Sorry it's been so long. I've been super busy with life and school, but I'm back and I'm determined to finish this story! See you in the next chapter!
