Y/N's P.O.V

I couldn't think of anything.

I was surrounded in darkness, but I didn't care.

I was extremely tired to do or think anything.

I just wanted to float there and rest.

It felt like I have been here for eternity.

Just floating there, doing nothing.

It feels great to do rest.

To not worry about a thing.

Like nothing mattered in the world.

But...

My friends mattered.

Sonic and Tails mattered.

Their probably worried about me.

I need to get back to them.

A bright light appeared in front of me.

It started to grow and grow, until...

I slowly opened my eyes to be met by a ceiling. A ceiling? I thought I was outside in front Eggman's base. I looked to the side to see Sonic sleeping on a chair next to me. How long have I been out? The last thing I remember was blasting B/N, and then it was all black. I slowly shifted, only to whimper and shut my eyes in pain. I realized at that moment that I was really sore and it hurt to move. "Y/N! Are you okay!?"

Sonic?

I open my eyes and see Sonic looking at me with a worried expression on his face. "Y-Yeah." I answered. Sonic sighed in relief and hugged me. "I'm so glad you're okay. You had us both worried." Sonic said. I hugged back, even if it hurt my arms to do so. He let go of me and I looked at him. "I didn't mean to worry you that much. I'm sorry." I said. "Hey, no need to apologize. It all happened in the moment and it was necessary to take down that robot." Sonic said. I stayed silent until a question came to mind. "Sonic. How long was I out for?" I asked. "You've been out... for two days now." Sonic answered.

I froze. I've been unconscious for two days!? I looked at Sonic. "No wonder you guys were worried. I'm so sorry." I apologized. "I told you, there's no need to apologize. Don't worry about it." Sonic said. I only nodded. I then realized that the Chaos Emerald wasn't on me and that Tails was nowhere in sight. "Where's Tails?" I asked Sonic. "He's in the workshop with all of the Chaos Emeralds. He's re-building the portal." Sonic answered. Oh, okay. That makes se- wait a minute. "Did you say 're-build'?" I asked. Sonic scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Um, yeah. While we went to get the Chaos Emeralds, one of Eggman's robots came in and destroyed the portal. We found it destroyed when we came back." Sonic explained.

"What!?" I yelled. I immediately got up and tried to run to Tails' workshop, but I underestimated how sore and weak I was. My legs hurt and felt like jello that I fell to the ground. "Y/N!" Sonic yelled in worry. I tried to get up, but my body felt heavy and my arms were shaking that I fell back down to the floor. Sonic quickly came over to me with worry shining in his eyes. "Are you hurt anywhere?" Sonic asked. "I-It hurts everywhere." I said in pain. Suddenly, I was picked up by Sonic. "Don't do that again. You gave me quite the scare." Sonic said. "Okay. Can you take me to see Tails?" I asked. Sonic nodded and started to walk me to Tails' workshop.

When we entered Tails' workshop, I could see Tails working on the portal again. Tails was so concentrated that he didn't hear us come in. "Hey, buddy. Guess who's here to say hi?" Sonic said, grabbing Tails' attention. He turned around to see Sonic carrying me. I waved hello at him with a smile on my face. Once he saw me, he immediately came over and hugged me. "You're awake! You're finally awake!" Tails said in happiness. I smiled more and hugged him back, ignoring the pain in my arms. He let go of me and had a huge smile on his face. "I'm so glad that you're okay." Tails said. "Yeah... to some extent." I said. Tails tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean? Are you hurt?" Tails asked. I nodded my head. "Her whole body hurts. That's why I'm carrying her." Sonic said. Tails looked at me with sympathy before smiling a little. "Don't worry, Y/N. You'll get better in no time." Tails said. I smiled at Tails' positivity. He clearly got it from Sonic. "Alright, Tails. I believe you." I said, smiling. He smiled back before going back to the portal. 

Sonic then took me to the living room and gently put me on the couch. "You want to watch a movie?" Sonic asked. "Yeah. I would like that very much." I said. Sonic smile and put in (Movie/Name). He came back, sat on the couch, and rested my head on his lap. I looked up at him in confusion. He looked down at me and smiled. "I figured you need some sort of pillow for your head." Sonic said. I smiled back and looked at the screen to watch the movie.

A few days had passed by and I've slowly started to get less sore. I would walk around the house as an exercise for me to do everyday. Although, I've noticed that Sonic would go out almost early in the morning and come back by sunset. I thought it was strange, but I didn't ask him about it.

One day, I was relaxing on the couch after doing my regular exercise when Sonic entered the house. It wasn't sunset yet, so I was surprised that he was back early. He came up to me and sat down next to me. "Hey, Y/N?" He asked. "Yes?" I said. "I wanted to talk to you about the file we found. About your parents." He said. I froze a bit at the mention of the file, but I motioned him to tell me. "When you teleported away, I was about to go after you when a paragraph on the file caught my eye. It read that your parents actually used to live on this planet and... you were born here." Sonic said. That last sentence hit me hard. I was born here? And my parents were from here? "I was able to locate the house you and your parents used to live in. That's why I've been gone each day. To look for it." Sonic continued. Before he could say anything else, I looked at him with a serious look. "Take me there." I said. Sonic looked at me, a bit surprised at my simple response. "Are you sure?" Sonic asked. I nodded my head. "Please. I need to see it." I said. Sonic nodded his head, picked me up, and ran towards the house.

After a few minutes, we made it to an abandoned house in the middle of a forest. The house was a bit broken with decaying colors all around, but I didn't care. Sonic set me down and I walked towards the door. The door was unlocked, so I opened the door, creating a squeaky sound as I opened it. The whole place was covered in thick dust. Spider webs were everywhere and some plant life was growing.

I walked inside and looked around. It was a simple house with all the necessities. There was a kitchen, a dining table, and a living room with a fireplace. I noticed there were some pictures above the fireplace. I walked up to it and examined them. One of the pictures showed my parents on their wedding day. I teared up just my looking at them, but I didn't cry. I moved on to the next picture and stared at it for a while. It showed a baby wrapped in a blanket. I started to wonder. Is that me?

I moved past the pictures and into a hallway. The hallway only had two rooms. I went to the first room to find a master bed along with a drawer full of jewelry and makeup. There was a closet not far that was half full with clothes. I walked up to the nightstand next to the bed and found a picture of my parents, just younger. They were both smiling on the picture, and I couldn't help but smile too. I took the picture out of its frame and put it in my pocket.

I then moved on to the last room. When I entered the room, I froze in place. It was a baby's room that had a baby crib, mobile, toys, changing station, everything. I slowly walked around the room when a memory suddenly came to me. It was a memory of my parents happily watching me in my crib in this very room. I widened my eyes as I looked at the crib. I do have memories here! I slowly made my way back to the living room.

Sonic was waiting for me in the living room, but I only sat down on the old couch that remained in the house. Sonic sat down next to me, waiting for me to say something. I laughed a little. "You know... ever since I came here, I've never once been homesick. And now I know why. This is my home." I said. I took out the picture of my parents smiling from my pocket. "At least I know that my parents were happy here." I said. I smiled a bit before some tears started to come down my cheeks. Sonic immediately hugged me, and I hugged back. He started to pat my back, helping me calm down.

After a while, we let go of each other. "Come one. Let's head back." Sonic said as he stood up. "Alright." I said as I stood up as well. Sonic picked me up and started to run back to his house. I held on to the picture of my parents. At least I'll have something with me to take back home.........

Or do I even want to leave?
