Hey guys! Before I start the story I have a little funny story to tell you. If you want to get to the story already then find these marks: ——. These indicate the end of my little story. Without further ado, let me tell you my story.

So I was in the bus on my way to school listening to Sonic Unleashed music. Then the song Dear My Friend started playing. All the memories of playing Sonic Unleashed started playing in my head when suddenly I remembered something.

Wait a minute...Apotos doesn't have a Gaia temple for the Chaos Emeralds. Oh shoot I'm screwed...or maybe...

Yeah, I realized this. But I used this setback as an advantage as I will not be using Eggmanland as a location you visit. Soooo...there you go. Now on with the story.

Y/N's P.O.V

I looked at my surroundings and realized something. This is Windmill Isle! Wait. I haven't told them that their video game characters in my world. How am I going to explain? While I was in thought, I didn't realize that Sonic was calling my name. "Y/N!" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Sonic. "Hey, are you ok? You were pretty zoned out." He gave me a worried look. "Yeah, I'm ok. Just in thought, that's all." I gave him a reassuring smile. He seemed satisfied. "Well, if you say so. Come on! Lets get that first Chaos Emerald!" He picked me up and sped off through Windmill Isle.

Even though we were traveling at incredible speed I can still see what Windmill Isle looked like. It was still the same as the game. All it was missing was the music. Without realizing it, I was humming the music for Windmill Isle. I was getting the notes perfect every time. You would be surprised what years of singing in the shower can do.

When we cleared Windmill Isle, Sonic put me down and we started to walk to Apotos. After a while, Sonic spoke to me. "You have a good humming voice." I laughed nervously. "Thanks. I always sing in the shower." We continue walking in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence like you would expect. It was a nice, comfortable silence.

After a minute or two, I spotted a white speck in the distance. I increased my walking speed and made my way to the entrance. The entrance to Apotos. The place looked just the same as the game. Completely white yet somehow a beautiful sight to see. On the downside, it was all white and with the sun shining it does hurt to look at. But after a while you'll get use to it.

Just a couple of steps in I already spot an ice cream cart. Actually, that is the ice cream cart from the game. Just looking at it reminds me of Chip. It would've been awesome to meet Chip but because of the events of Sonic Unleashed I will never get to meet him. I looked at the cart, curious on what the Chocolate Chipped Cream Sundae Supreme taste like. Unfortunately, I didn't have any money on me so I didn't pay any attention to it any longer and looked at the buildings. It was an interesting choice in architecture, that was for sure.

While looking at the buildings and the view of the water I felt a tap on my shoulders. I turned around to find Sonic holding two Chocolate Chipped Cream Sundae Supreme, one on each hand. He handed me one to which I look at him in shock. "For me?" He hummed yes in response. "You didn't have to you know." He shook his head. "Nonsense. Of course I had to. You saved us back there. You deserve it." I took the ice cream from his hand. I took a bite from it and immediately a burst of flavor hit my taste buds. It was absolutely delicious. I hummed in satisfaction. "It's great, isn't it?" I hummed yes, not wanting to stop eating. After we finished we continued to the temple while still looking at the architecture.

We finally made it to the Temple of Gaia. I looked at it in awe before walking to the entrance. I noticed that Sonic was still looking at the temple. I stopped and looked at him. He seemed so lost in thought. Or maybe lost in memory. "Hey Sonic." He snapped back to reality and looked at me. "Are we going to go in or not?" He only nodded and walked in, with me following. I think I have an idea on what he was thinking. Or remembering. The inside looked just as historical as the outside. You can sense some history in a place like this. At the end of the room I would see the green Chaos Emerald hovering. We walked quickly to the Chaos Emerald to retrieve it. While Sonic did that, I was looking at a carving on the wall. It was the same carving that made Chip remember who he really was. I started humming the song Dear My Friend on purpose. Not the whole song of course, just the first verse. When I was done, Sonic walked up and stood next to me staring at the carving. "You know...this place reminds me of a friend I knew. His name was-"
"Chip." I interrupted him. He looked at me surprised. "How did you know?" Mind as well tell him now then later. "In my world, you guys are...video game characters." He was in shocked while I looked down. "Well, ok." I looked at him with shock. "Your not mad or disturbed or anything?" He shook his head no. "Not at all. I'm fine with it." I gave him a confused look. "Anyway, we got the first emerald. Lets head back to Tails and see if he's done with the Tornado." I nodded my head and we exited the temple.

We made it back to Tails to see him still work on the Tornado. "Hey Tails. Is it done?" Sonic asked. "Just...a little...tweak...and..." The engine started and a memory popped up in my head about my parents. I quickly pushed the memory aside, not wanting to cry again. "Now it is. Do you have the emerald?" Sonic pulled out the green emerald to show him. "Great! Let's get going." We all got in the plane and took off to our next destination.
